I am from the Philippines and I can't believe the similarities we have with Goans. Apart from being surrounded by coconut and banana trees, we also have our own versions of "chorizo", "bibingka" and the egg tart and we enjoy midday siesta as well.
Goa State/Province on the West Coast of India is one of the most loved and explored tourist destination by both our domestic and foreign national visitors. Very much Tropical climate with stunning beaches however South Goa region of Goa State does also have lush green dense rain forest, mangrove forest, lakes, waterfalls, hills on the UNESCO World Heritage Site-Western Ghats.

Your comments about Martin's Corner are pretty valid... the only thing I'd recommend that place for is fresh seafood (I ordered crab two ways for my parents and we loved it). Never ordered meats there, for this exact reason.
ah, good to hear! It was obviously very popular but seemed more just like a vacation spot with good memories/nice vibe. The menu was too big, I think, for anything to be standout. Should have gotten fish!
Their recheado masala is the best in Goa . A little bit of research helps and I mean a little bit because everyone knows you eat at martins for their recheado crab / prawn or even mushroom if you’re a vegetarian.
You should try Goan prawn curry rice and fried fish, also Goans are susegad/ lazy.. mostly people sleep in the afternoon after lunch n reopen after 4, you can also add limca to urrak for sweet taste n avoid chilli
Wonderful Goan Food Vlog. Here are some best restaurants and bars in South Goa District of Goa State: Martin’s Corner, The Fisherman’s Wharf, The Farmhouse Bar and Bristo, The Red Ginger, Edge, Barbeque Bay, Dom’s Sea Restaurant, Joet’s Bar And Restaurant. If you Guys are planning to explore South Goa District, then watch out for these bucket list destination: Benaulim Beach, Agonda Beach, Butterfly Beach, Colva Beach, Cabo de Rama Fort, Mollem National Park, Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, Dudhsagar Falls, Netravali Lake, Galgibaga Beach, Betul, Rivona, Chandor Mansion and Loutolim Mansion. Goa does seem like a good and relaxing place to choose as one of the last states to go to after spending months in India! Unfortunate that Steph's health deteriorated, though. Glad you guys could still explore Goa and Goan food. I am a happy vegan now but have enjoyed a lot of bibique in Goa during trips in the past, so seeing bibique brought back great memories, thank you!!! :) Was this the last India video for now, I guess? :)
Those egg tarts looked yummy. Also very popular in Macau ...think its the Portuguese influence. Sorpotel on a bun...wow ! Thanks, now that you guys have me salivating, I'll go demolish some leftover cup noodles. Gr8 video by the way.

And yes Martins cornor was special like may be 5 to 10 years ago but they will take you for granted as time goes by. Also Goa till 4 it's called siesta time when people sleep, they don't like to be disturbed at that time. Hope to see you soon next time and try sea foods.

So glad you enjoyed yourself in our beautiful state and one of Indias favourite tourist destinations. 😊👏🏻👏🏻

Hi, Steph here, that's an impossible challenge, but I love sev puri, podi dosa, and probably the tandoori chicken at Mohammed Ali Road (but ask me in five minutes and my answers will change.) Hi, Steph nd Pete..jus hppnd to watch ur vlog ystdy...it was awesome nd loved the way u guys appreciated and devouvered the Goan cuisine...being a Goan myself, must say u guys r very adventurous....take care of your stomach though, brave to have kept trying the food. Only the, "Urrak", u guys had at Mandrem..nxt time pls try it with a dash of salt, a slith green chilli, a pinch of red chilli powder, a lime slice in the glass and limca or any limeade drink rather than soda, and c the punch n taste then. In Mumbai do go to Mahesh Lunch home .. very good sea food .. in the suburbs on central line ( from CST terminus) if you go to Chembur station.. very close to that is Grand Central restaurant.. I used to love their butter chicken… different unique and delicious.. they have good tandoori and indo Chinese food there too..
All the food at Martins are good and of good quality but what you should absolutely try there is the recheado masala . So a crab recheado masala or prawn recheado masala . It’s the best recheado masala in all of Goa . But truly all of their food is good and am shocked to hear of the hair . I don’t go there often now as I live in north Goa and I can’t handle pungent food anymore but I used to eat there twice or thrice a week when I lived in the south and it was barely a shack with a mud floor and aunty ( their mom ) doing the cooking…. and I never found a hair . D’silvas is also excellent and one of the few road side eateries , I’ll eat at regularly.
Hey Steph, enjoyed watching your vlogs... This one was amazing... Thank you for visiting India, do visit again... Loads of love and hugs to Hays...♥️😍😘😘👍

Martin's corner used to be good back in the day. The standards have dipped these days. Try Mangoes in Mumbai Malad for some authentic Goan food or O'Pedro at BKC Bandra.
Martin's Corner is one of the oldest restaurant around South Goa District, when not many restaurants were available in Palolem area in South Goa District of Goa State. Personally been there couple of times that too decade ago and then it had very good service which sadly currently not up to the mark. Yet if you want to try only Sea Food like Crabs, Shrimps, Prawns, Salty Fishes, Martin's Corner won't disappointed you. Hi🙋🏻♀️Steph, Pete, Precious little one🫶Goa🫶& everyone 🗺️🕊️🫶 Yummy, I cook all of these Goan delicacies, Galinha Cafreal Portuguese colonies in Mozambique, Africa. We have it with coleslaw & fries or wedges! Xacuti made with several roasted spices with grated coconut. Bebinca is made with coconut milk, sugar, eggs, flour, nutmeg & butter or ghee brushed on every grilled layer. We make it every month. Choriz Pao, yummy we buy or order from eBay packages of sausages. We chop onions, add the chorizo mix well & pressure cook for 30 minutes. Sorpotel, Vindaloo make it with lamb. I’ve got the recipes from my mother. You’ve to taste Crab Xec Xec, Stuffed Squids, Crumb fried Mussels, Kismur, Vienna steaks/Crumb fried steaks, Clam sukkem, Stew, Prawn curry, croquettes, rissois de camarao, prawn or meat puffs/Pattice etc. God bless 🙌🤲🙏us all🗺️🕊️🫶MC/Q🕊️🫶🌹
Its fabulous to watch you guys..did your little lad taste a bite of the Choriz pao? He's gonna be a global citizen..Hope your stomachs hold up while in India
I have seen lots of foreign vlogger get handsome number of subscribers after they visit India ,I m one of them subscriber of ur channel I would like to connect with u guys
Hope you guys enjoyed Urrak (In layman terms it's called Jungle Juice)... I'm having hurrak at home while watching this video D'Silva Caterers is one of my favourite food spot I've tried everything they offer... U guys are lucky to get seating easily at Martin's Corner last time I visited we waited for 45 mins...
Hello Steph & Pete One small suggestion: please don't ask anybody to like, share & subscribe. We have grown tired of that promotion/advertisement campaign. We absolutely love seeing foreigners react but don't ask Indians to subscribe, You just do Honest reactions (without thinking it might hurt others) & we'll definitely think about it. Last but not least please don't have a 😮😮😮😮 Face in any videos. I'm just trying to help you, that's all. Entirely it's you're choice. I'm saying this because u guys have a growing subscription count everyday.
Don't worry... there are millions of Indians who've lived there all their lives and don't understand a lick of Kannada. My dad spoke Kannada. Hey while in Bandra, did you ever visit Candies? If not, put that on your to-do list. I grew up in Bandra. Now live in NJ.
Partially true because hype about Martin's Corner is due to its Sea Food like Crabs, Prawns, Salty Fishes, which you always get fresh over there. But never try any other form of meat over there, then it's waste of yours valuable money.
I will tell you what is Great about India in an objective way. If you exclude Island countries and look at the Global South region then only 3 countries are continuous democracies from 1970 to 2020 1) India 2) Botswana 3) Costa Rica Also if you see GDP growth from 1970 to 2020 then Botswana has been the fastest growing democracy and India has been the second fastest growing democracy. Only those countires which implemented development oriented dictatorships and coercive measures of population control like one child policy have grown faster than India and Botswana. However I have seen that many people are too critical of India and love to slander it. Rather than looking at India objectively they see India through their religious and political biases. Instead of criticizing the political systems, laws and economic policies in India they criticize the culture and Dharmic religions in India. International media likes to get information about India through these critics and no wonder the information about India is extremely biased. Indians are scared of these critics because they feel that they have brainwashed foreigners against India.

Hi🙋🏻♀️Steph, Pete, Precious little one🫶Goa🫶& everyone 🗺️🕊️🫶
Yummy, I cook all of these Goan delicacies, Galinha Cafreal Portuguese colonies in Mozambique, Africa.

Hope you guys enjoyed Urrak (In layman terms it's called Jungle Juice)... I'm having hurrak at home while watching this video
D'Silva Caterers is one of my favourite food spot I've tried everything they offer...
U guys are lucky to get seating easily at Martin's Corner last time I visited we waited for 45 mins...
Hello Steph & Pete
One small suggestion: please don't ask anybody to like, share & subscribe. We have grown tired of that promotion/advertisement campaign.
We absolutely love seeing foreigners react but don't ask Indians to subscribe,
You just do Honest reactions (without thinking it might hurt others) & we'll definitely think about it.
Last but not least please don't have a 😮😮😮😮
Face in any videos.
I'm just trying to help you, that's all.
Entirely it's you're choice.
I'm saying this because u guys have a growing subscription count everyday.
ok thanks
Pork Sarbetail is Pork Intestine Curry!! Its Goa Catholic food of course Portugal Influence
*Sorportel
Who told you it’s intestine curry..it’s liver heart n other organs..people don’t use intestine now..little knowledge is dangerous
@@Queeny0212 no sarpetail is pork interstne i been having it since my childhood!! right from my GRadm's Kichen!!!
The part where Pete asks the banana guy his name was hilarious. Seems Steph understands more Hindi than she knows. Haha.
But no Kannada!
Don't worry... there are millions of Indians who've lived there all their lives and don't understand a lick of Kannada. My dad spoke Kannada. Hey while in Bandra, did you ever visit Candies? If not, put that on your to-do list. I grew up in Bandra. Now live in NJ.
you tried bebinca- wow
Waiting for your North East vlogs
We'll do a northeast trip in the future, for sure!
@@StephandPete NE is entirely different. Go to Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland,Arunachal Pradesh.
@@StephandPete I'm waiting for you guys right here in Shillong.
I am from Goa and god bless your family ❤❤❤❤
So true....we goans dont like it when our afternoon nap is disturbed ... we live upto the name susegad goemkar
Martin's Corner is not what it used to be. It's just hype at this point with below par food.
Glad to hear we weren't crazy! It was a cute place though.
@@StephandPete absolutely not. 15-20 years back it was a charming and a lovely place to eat something authentic.
Partially true because hype about Martin's Corner is due to its Sea Food like Crabs, Prawns, Salty Fishes, which you always get fresh over there. But never try any other form of meat over there, then it's waste of yours valuable money.
Is beef legal in goa?
Pork, beef & seafood are essential parts of Goan cuisine.
Yes cause we don’t have those dumbass rules
🎉🎉
Martins Corner is overhyped... It only famous because celebrities visited bin early days
You definitely need to vist Mysore, Karnataka
Adorable haze 🤗❤️
My favourite Palolem beach ❤
AB has some nice dance moves too...
😂
I will tell you what is Great about India in an objective way.
If you exclude Island countries and look at the Global South region then only 3 countries are continuous democracies from 1970 to 2020
1) India 2) Botswana 3) Costa Rica
Also if you see GDP growth from 1970 to 2020 then Botswana has been the fastest growing democracy and India has been the second fastest growing democracy.
Its Home made Bun!!
U should try goan ozri dish
Yes, Pao = bread
Nice vlog
Good.. 👍💐🌹🙏👏😍❤
Come to chennai
