"This does not look like India" is a common dialogue from people who are so exposed to stereotypical images of India from their biased media that they think whole India looks like Varanasi/Paharganj/Rajasthan with over crowded unkempt streets and touts. Goa, Kerala, Himachal, NorthEast States, Ladakh, Kashmir, Goa, Andaman etc become foreign countries and is a little hard to accept that they are also very much Indian as the other stereotypical places.
They meant it looks Portuguese and not indian architecture. Are you so low in confidence that you have to bring this argument to every vlog? There are tour books like Lonely Planet which give a good idea of diversity of India you know. Other than a few idiots, most people realize the amazing diversity of experiences India has to offer.

Hello From Beautiful Sunny Goa, So when you mentioned that the church at panjim doesn't look immaculate can raise eye brows within the Catholic community here in Goa, The Panjim Church is Our Lady Of Immaculate Conception and not Immaculate Church. However thought I oughta bring it to your notice. You missed the other side of the latin quarter which has immense typical architectural influence from the old Portuguese era and yes people in that area still speak Portuguese besides our local language konkani! Pls be my guest if you should decide on visiting Goa again, much more to experience in our culture tradition and food 😊
The first Portuguese arrival was Saint Bartholomaeu. It was about discovery, sailing and navigating through the ocean. The discovery was in the 1500s. The Portuguese have settled in Asia for 500 years and they can still trace their lineages - very powerful people. The English arrived in the 1700s. The mid 1800s until 1940s were not good for the whole world. Goa is historical.
I will not explain in detail, but you guys need to visit Pondicherry (french colony), Andamans ( India's best Beaches - white sand, blue water) And Darjeeling ( British summer capital).... Look them up...
You were more than modestly dressed for church. Its just that some tourists dress really weird. 4:20 onwards you were not in Fontainhas but Mala. The coffee house is just a few years old!
During the Portuguese Inquisition in Goa (1560 - 1774), most other traces of Sanatana Dharma were eradicated, and people forcibly converted or killed. Read the book “The Goa Inquistion” by Anant Kakba Priolkar. The inquisition was an ecclesiastical tribunal. The horrors committed by the British, pales in comparison to what the Portuguese did in India. Vande mataram
