I just got a similar Timex with a blue face and tan leather strap for Father's Day. I love the look of the watch but the second hand ticking very loud too ! It's unnerving. If I press lightly on the bezel it decreases but of course once I release my finger, it gets loud again.
Exactly! Once pressed on the bezel then it helps, but it's obvious that nobody will hold it like this all day long. Also during the night, when I take it off, I have to hide it somewhere deep not to hear the ticking.
I just bought a Timex Ironman Essential and same thing, its loud! and the seconds hand doesn't hit the indices at all unfortunately. But still very comfortable to wear, its light and legible, and common, its got INDIGLO!
Couldn't take it, you can hear the tick from across a room and wasn't a pleasant one. Was kind of a your times running out get it done kind of vibe. Put it in a drawer but could still hear it, bloody thing was even louder, so had to take out the battery. Blessed relief, not had a watch since. I dont need the stress. Would like to try a digital one but they all look absolutely awful.
I'm weird, I like the loud ticking.
Same its why I like timexes I find the ticking sound relaxing lol

That loud ticking is why I want it.

5 years late, but you can get a jeweler to open the watch and align the hand
Man really wanted an easy reader but this is a deal kiler.
My TW2R45800 also ticks loudly. It does not bother me.
Times easy reader, I believe, for those who are curious
Very cute☺️🤗

Put mine in a box inside of a huge steel chest. Was still able to hear it. So I pulled the crown and left it like that
