We went to Yelapa last time we were in PV in Oct 2022. Awesome day trip! Took an ATV to the waterfall and had a swim and a few margaritas. Would definitely recommend. As always, great video!! Thanks guys
How was the weather when you were there in October '22? We're planning a trip to PV in October this year, and a lot of people have warned us against it due to the weather and the likelihood of closures due to it being off-season.
Several years ago my husband and I stayed in Yelapa for a week (at Garcia rentals on the beach) - we loved it. We stay in PV 6 months per year now but so far we have only made it back to Yelapa for day trips. There is a good little family run restaurant inland from the beach on the river (Manguitos - recommend it).
Just came back from PV. Stayed south of PV in Playa Gemelas area. I watched a lot of water taxis coming from Los Muertos beach. Some people wore the life jackets some didn't. I could see Los Arcos right from my balcony. I wanted to explore lots of places but unfortunately my teenage son wasn't interested. We went to Boca, but the rough sea stopped us from taking a water taxi. And it was a bit too hot for hikes. Thanks for showing the hike to Playa Conchas Chinas. I enjoyed that so much! We ate three big bags of yellow mangos in 7 days, I agree that yellow mangos are better than green ones. 6 big papayas, 2 huge watermelons. Fruits are amazing!
Hey. Thanks for the trip down m,emory lane. It was 30years ago when I was there. Hardly nothing back then. Looking at all those umbrellas shows how much it has grown. There used to be only one water taxi back then and if you missed it you had to stay overnight in these little cabins. It was romantic, though. Like that tie die shirt you had on., had one like it. That little puddle of water you mentioned caught my eye back then, too. The beach area still looks the same . There is a road to get there as well but not so good unless they did some upgrades on it.. Your ride down there looked much the same as all those years ago.. You must take your children to the zoo one time as well as the botanical gardens. On the way is an old movie set where a famous Night of the Iguana was filmed with Liz Taylor an Richard Burton. The movie Predator with Swartzanger was filmed there around that area. By the way. There ARE TWO other areas near Yalapa you might like , Los Animas an Quimixo, not sure if I spelled it right. Thanks again!!!
Thank you so much! Yes we’re planning on visiting both of those locations. The water taxi spots at both as well. There is a road there although it’s much farther than taking the water taxi and apparently it’s not very smooth lol you also have to hike down as the road ends at the top on the mountain. We’d like to go back and stay a few nights!
We loved the botanical garden - we went last year. PUERTO VALLARTA MUST DO DAY TRIP BEYOND THE RESORT (VALLARTA BOTANICAL GARDEN & BOCA DE TOMATLÁN) ua-cam.com/video/b530A0tIH38/v-deo.html
Yelapa is beautiful. I have not been there. Is it far from PV? I guess this is a locals only town. Beach looks amazing. I really enjoyed this video. Great work Marc & Kathleen.
Hi, we have not done this one yet, but we are planning to take a bus to Boca then a walk to Colomitos where we will hopefully grab a water taxi to Yelapa....I'd love to see a day trip to El Jorullo. We arrive on the 20th of April!
@@Morelifediaries thanks..you're putting out a lot of videos...thanks! Btw, did you find the panga ride bumpy? Would you recommend something like gravol if someone is sensitive to sea sickness or is it ok?
Hey guys I was curious, do these boats have lifejackets on board? Its quite concerning i never see ANYBODY wearing lifejackets on these boats. In the videos I've seen. I wonder if they even have them at all. I would personally not even go on without that safety assurance. There was a boat that literally sank not too long ago and luckily there was another boat nearby and that specific boat had jackets... is it standard for them to carry, do they atleast tell you that they have them incase of emergency? This would be a huge safety risk considering the ocean conditions and if one of these go down and there's not enough jackets its game over... I think this would be my main concern over the price negotiating lmao
@@Morelifediaries oh ok thanks yeah thats what I wanted to know. In the boat from this video from boca I didn't see anybody wearing a life jacket. Did you actually see any on board? Or did they just tell you that they have them? Thanks again. Keep up the great content :) ... you can never assume in mex lol...

Glad you enjoyed yourselves! Playa Gemelas is great although there’s not much of a beach during high tide. The view on Los Arcos is beautiful!!!

Amazing
Thank you! Cheers!
Can’t wait to visit this area looks amazing. Have you been out to Bucerias ? Great beach and food all over.
Yes many times! Beach is great there!

Thank you! it's about an hour boat ride from Zona i Believe - half of that from Boca. Its' beautiful there!
Great video!
Thanks! 🙌🏼
I’ll be there April 9th through 15th, if I see you I’ll say hello…good video
Yes absolutely 😊 where are you staying?

How long is the water taxi ride
I mentioned it in the video I think it was around 40minutes!

The walk to Colomitos is something we also want to do! I’ll look up El Jorullo we’ve never heard of it!
@@Morelifediaries thanks..you're putting out a lot of videos...thanks! Btw, did you find the panga ride bumpy? Would you recommend something like gravol if someone is sensitive to sea sickness or is it ok?
It really depends on the ocean that day. Ours was bumpy but tolerable in my opinion. Our captain was great at navigating 🧭
In Google maps there is a way to drive to Yelapa has anyone tried it?
You can drive there, I think there’s a small one lane dirt road that takes you to the top of the mountain and you have to hike down!
Yea, there's a reason people take boats even for cement and rebar.
Next time try the pies. I'm 1km north of Boca de Tomatlán y'all welcome to drop by next time
Thank you! We’ve heard about the pies but didn’t find any! We definitely should have asked lol. I think we’ll be back there pretty soon 😊

I’m not sure if they all do. We’ve taken boats in PV only twice and they had them onboard both times.

They had them all there. Most of us were sitting on them to ease the ride on our bums 😂
We went there this past week and they had life jackets….enjoy🇨🇦
I'm surprised the children at least didn't have them on. What are the parents thinking 😮
My suggestion: go to Orizaba, Veracruz.✌️
Thank you 😊
@@Morelifediaries And if you do, you might want to stop by Xico, Veracruz.
