Milena, I'm getting my first bible tomorrow as a 30 year old. I felt a heavy call to start reading the bible and to pray. I've been watching your videos since 2018 and ever since you and your family have inspired me so so so so much it's incredible. I wouldn't know what to do without your wisdom!
I just watched this video at work. I keep a Bible at work in my office to be sure that even in the 8 hours every day I’m not home with my main Bible, I still get into God’s word. Especially in todays world and working with all kinds of people with different beliefs. Doing this quick Ephesians Bible Study was so uplifting. It’s great to share God’s word with one another even as strangers. Be blessed. 🙏🏾
Thank you so much for this! I have been feeling very alone in my Bible reading journey. I am a 23 year old mom with a 3 year old and a 19 month old. I have recently gotten into reading my Bible after years of losing myself to the world as a teenager and young adult. I have been married for 4 years but my husband isn’t in a place where he is convicted to get into the word or find a church family yet and your videos the last couple of months have not only convicted me in a positive way and caused a change in my heart but also made me feel like I have a friend with me along the way of this new journey. You really are doing glorious things for the Lord, Milena. Please pray with me so that I can be a strong but humble example for my husband through my actions and not my words.

I will pray for you and for your husband- my husband attend church with me for the first time two weeks ago and he loved it. He’s a baby Christian but I praise the Lord for this answered prayer 🙏 Our father in heaven WiLL bring it to pass. I e been married 22 years to give you some perspective of how long this has been in my heart. ❤

In unity of faith, we ask Lord that You will turn their hearts, the hearts of their husbands, and the hearts of their children to You as You promised to in Jeremiah 24:6-7.

So simply holding on to Your truth in this promise, we pray, be it unto them according to Your Word. You also said: ”Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.“ Matthew 18:19 NIV
We agree on it, so it is done. In Jesus’ name. Amen. ❤

Speaking of context, my pastor says if a verse begins with "Therefore" then its impirtant to read the sceiptures before to figure out why its "there for"
That's what we were told in my Bible college that I went to also.. " 'therefore'- what's it there for?"

Oh my ! Let me just say the Lord called me through you. I’m blessed HE called me in such a beautiful way. I finished Ephesians today for the first time ever( my first book I have read) Let me just say, WOW The Lord is amazing. I stared last night and I couldn’t get enough of this book! Thank you Lord for blessing us with your word 🙏🏼

Also I wanted to say, I started using the Bible Project app and I watch their videos on each book of the Bible before I dive into that book. In less than 10 mins they lay out the entire background in history to provide context. The videos are so great!! Def recommend

I have never read much of the Bible. This past week something has pulled me into reading - I decided to start in the Gospels and finished Matthew and now I am on the Mark. I was intimidated at first because of how hard the Bible has been to understand for me in the past, but this time I’m sticking to understanding and reading God’s word. I opened UA-cam and and saw this video and was shocked because this is exactly what I needed. A walk through of how to read the Bible for newbies. Thank you, this was very helpful for me. An amazing book that outlines a lot of what you just touched on is "Women In The Word" and teaches you how to study the Bible in depth and in context. It has been so helpful!

I love this! Milena, you mentioned how you don’t like to read random books in your last video. I feel the same, and just finished reading the book “The Red Tent” by Anita Diamant. It’s the story of Jacobs daughter Dinah (with some fiction to bring it to life) it was wonderful and made me want to read that part of Genesis over and over again. Highly recommend

I love NKVJ so much! I don’t see it talked about or used that much online. It was harder to read as my main translation at first, but the more I’ve been reading it, I’ve gotten used to it and it makes me slow down when reading more to digest and I love that.

I am so happy you did this. My 18 month old doesn’t take naps unless i lay down with him, and when hes awake and im trying to read my bible he ends up needing something so pray for me on that part lol.. so i havent been actually opening my bible but this video i had rhe chance to actually do that today ugh ty ty Milena ❤️
I've also struggled with this but I've been trying to read my Bible intentionally in front of my one year old. Most of the time she just wants to play with the pages of the Bible, so sometimes this looks like reading just a few verses over the course of the whole day. Or re reading the same thing over and over because I can't remember where I left off haha. But to me, it's important for her to see me open the bible regularly. different seasons of life look different as far as reading the word, but prioritizing getting in the word every day, no matter what it looks like, is always so worth it. Hopefully this is encouraging. I'm sure all of us mamas can totally relate to the constant interruptions, but that is the beautiful season we are all in together 💛 prayers for you sister!

Hi Milena, I'm a first time mommy, just had my baby in July and I have been struggling with this big change. I took a year off of work to be home with my baby because I felt God calling me to embrace my role as a homemaker. Pride and independence was something I always struggled with and God has really been convicting me about submitting as a wife. Your videos have only affirmed what God has been working on my heart on. Oh man has God really flipped my whole world upside down. I went from someone who never wanted to get married or have kids (due to the pain of coming from a broken family) to now a housewife with a baby!
Do you have any book recommendations for first time mommies or study bibles for moms. I have such a desire to be an example of a godly woman and wife to my baby girl but I'm struggling from exhaustion and feelings of inadequacy as a wife and mother

Milena! I ran and grabbed my bible after listening to this to look into why Paul was talking about, “rulers and authorities in the heavenly places”, and as I was flipping to find Ephesians, I opened to 1 Corinthians and a piece of paper from four years ago fell out where I had written down both 1 Corinthians 2:8-9 and Isaia 64:4
I also find it interesting that Paul is describing Christ’s love through physical qualities “breadth and length and height and depth” as He is the physical manifestation of God’s own love for us

I’m the same way! Bible journaling distracts me (because i’m not naturally creative and it takes more effort 😅) but I love that people can be creative and learn in that way.

Who, what, where, when, why, how! Once I answer those it helps me paint a picture & dig deeper into any parables/figurative language there may be . Game changer for me personally!

I heard the blue letter bible is a good one. It gives you the Greek word and definitions. It's like a dictionary
Ask the holy spirit for guidance to read your bibles ladies! He will reveal His truth. I learned more from the Holy Spirit our teacher and counselor than I have from any Pastor or family member. God's word is crucial in your walk with him.

My favorite way to study scripture is to
1. Pick a book
2. Read one chapter a day
3. Listen to a corresponding sermon series.
