Hello, there. I'm from Venezuela and i can tell for sure that here we have amazing treasures waiting to be found. This is a collectors paradise but yeah, a nightmare to get things exported, indeed. I know about some neglected Japanese worldwide known jewel collecting dust at Caracas.
Just before Hugo Chavez turned the country into a fire dumpster Venezuela was, by far, the richest country in Latin America. A lot of businessmen arriving in Brazil had amazing one-off Rolex watches that they sold for cents on the dollar to collectors like myself. A lot of rare fancy diamonds also made their way out of the country around that time.
Yup, Venezuelan here. I went to a couple of those Ferrari challenge races, it was amazing. There was a guy in my city that had a dealership and competed in the series. He had a couple of 355 for the street and was working on a fiat Palio. He installed a Chevy V8 on the back (a don’t know if it was an LS) right where the back seats were located, and all the suspension and transmission was from the 355s he had (spare parts for the racing series and such).
such a sweet downdraft example. I went to college with a guy from Caracas who ended up becoming my room mate and life long friend. His father was a engineer for the government and was arrested in 2002 because of political drama. They all live in Miami now so I am pleased this car took the same path. Badass!!!!

Jon, I'm Venezuelan. I know a lot about the history of the car and more hidden jems within the country. Many muiras are still there. Venezuelan here and i knew that Countach back in the early 90's. In video is beautiful but in person is even gorgeous. At my house we have a 1968 Shelby Cobra GT500 1968 Convetible for sale. Here in Venezuela
In 88 when it was bought i was watching the prices I was just getting ready to buy one then they started to rise again in price . Unfortunately it was always just out of my reach and is now forever .
Smokey and the Countach
first time hearing that we use to have a countach in our country. unbelievable and dangerous to own that type of machine. = S ..
Thanks for watching!
