This episode always confused me. Rainbow's cutie has nothing to do with weather. She got it from racing and performing a sonic rainboom. She uses her speed to do then her current job, weather pony. But her talent wasn't weather control. Same with Rarity's, her talent is locating gems which she then uses for her dresses and clothes. But her talent isn't actually dress making. Honestly, it would have made more sense for Rarity to have been practicing racing rather than weather and Applejack to be digging looking for gemstones. The others made sense because their jobs directly have to do with their special talent. Fluttershy with Pinkie's trying to be a party planner, Rainbow with Fluttershy's trying to be an animal care giver, and Pinkie with Applejack's trying to work the apple farm. Pinkie Pie is also a gifted baker but that is a skill she learned by working for the Cakes, likely since she was a filly. But that is just a job, like Rainbow controlling the weather with dozens of other pegasi. Pinkie uses the skills she learned with baking to boost her parties. Rainbow uses her speed and flying skill to keep the sky clear when needed. Rairty, whose dream is fashion not mining, uses her talent to locate gems to boost her business and outfits. We see as a filly, she is already making beautiful clothes but to her, it was missing something.
To be fair,, it could be interpreted like each one of them isn't understanding their cutiemark, you know like the missions from the cutie marks crusaders.
I miss the good old days before all the songs became cookie-cutter pop songs. The first four seasons are full of amazing compositions, but the later seasons have more... unexciting, samey, bland stuff that goes on for WAY TOO LONG
every time pinkies part comes up, i cant help but giggle a little, cause she sounds a little silly with a country accent. and applejacks part is 👌
