My Little Pony is great at making songs that teach important lessons and are fun to listen to, unlike a lot of religious songs for kids that I heard in the past.
the 'moral' is that defending yourself from a bully makes you just as bad, yet because Babs was bullied all her atrocious, actively victim-seeking behavior was completely ignored. She got off scot-free specifically because she's a hypocrite. The other 'moral' is that all your problems will be solved if you tell an adult about the bully. The adult in question then (much more realistically) witnesses bullying a few feet away and stands there in total silence. I was an autistic kid in public school, so you can imagine why I'm not impressed with these blatant lies. Most people I've seen talking about the episode have similar experiences with teachers and even parents who rarely so much as pretend they'll do anything. Basically this episode brings up bad memories specifically to peddle the same bull**** we knew not to believe by age seven. It's a total spit in the face. The song generally gets a pass because it doesn't mention the 'moral' and is one of the best bops in the whole show.@@christinek232

I know this is random, and that Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara are the bullies - but I think it still says a lot about them that they were willing to accept a blank flank into their friend circle, showing they cared more about her shared malice than her cutie mark. Which given that's the entire reason they bullied the CMC is pretty big character growth, at least in my opinion.
