I’m with you ! 7 months, I lost over 90 thousand with Wayfair. You paid everything to make their pages look nice, you cut your price to make our mutual customers happy. There is no reason to work with this huge drop shipping monster.
I ordered from wayfair half of my houses furniture and I couldn't believe they'd ship it free! That's what kept me ordering. Nothing was damaged. My couch however fell apart and they sent me a new one no questions!
@@OmahaRiverDonkey Well, from my experiences and from a logical stand point, reviews should definitely be higher, at least at 3. You get to see and test your furnitures with AR, free shipping and easy return/exchange if damaged. In my case, they even let me keep the only damaged item I got so I just repaired it while waiting for the replacement. The only 2 real problems customers can face are assembly instructions and cheap build. They don't always show how some furnitures are built in the pictures so customers can be fooled by cheaper options and sometimes the instructions can be lacking since as this video mentioned, they're only a middle man, they do not make the instructions. One thing to take into account is that the average person is stupid and I've read many stupid reviews. So Wayfair is far from perfect but people are even more flawed which is why I never trust reviews made by strangers.
Coffee Nerd I agree with you 100% they let me keep the old unit so I just put a 2x4 wood and cushions and put it outside as an outdoor couch @ Mateo I didn’t even look at the reviews I was just dumbfounded that it was $160 couch with free shipping. I’ve been asked to give details so here they are. From Wayfair I purchased the Erinn 67” loveseat by Zipcode Design and it fits perfect in my space. Plus very comfy to sit on for long periods. All you have to do to assemble it is screw in the legs and slide the back section into the metal brackets on the seat part. It’s almost always out of stock so I’d advise clicking on the “In Stock Alert”. I got the blue one. Also purchased the Atka Sled coffee table. It’s clear acrylic. Again it’s great for small spaces. It’s out of stock right now so sign up for the “In Stock Alert”. After three months there are no scratches on it.
My coworker bought a couch. A week later they sent her the same couch again ...a week later...another couch...Now she has three couches for the price of one. No wonder this company is losing money lmfao.
I canceled my order for a chair before I was charged, they canceled it and didn’t charge me. The next day it showed up at my door with no charge. I should’ve ordered a more expensive chairs.
I ordered a sofa and coffee table from Wayfair during the lockdown. Yes I was worried the sofa might not be comfortable but based on the reviews it sounded like it would be so I took the plunge. Could not be happier with my purchases.

I used to think that way till my wife order mattresses from online, it is like 1/3 of what we would have paid in brick & mortar store . I have now replaced all the mattress in my house from online store & never been happier sleeping on my bed.
Don't do it. At least not from Wayfair. Their return is horrible if you don't like your product. They do not cover any of the return cost so the minimum for the return will be at least $80-90, depending on the weight of the couch.
@@CocoTaveras8975 I spoke to someone in my family who used it before and they just informed me that the quality of the products were really bad and they got a lot of fake items.

Why do they keep saying Wayfair hasn't made a profit? Amazon paid 0 taxes because they reinvested their profit back into the company. That's what good businesses do. But I would suggest Wayfair spend half of their 1 billion going into advertising and spend it on customer service. That's hugely important in online retailers.
It also helps that HGTV channel was on free preview (depending on your cable provider) with Wayfair being a furniture provider for most of their tv shows.
Weird that a company that spends so much on marketing / customer acquisition declined to be interviewed on this free marketing piece. For instance, I had never heard of this company before watching this news piece and the only big expense I have done since the COVID-19 has in fact been furniture which I bought online. I went to the online stores of local stores I was aware of. Didn't even know to look at WayFair.
My biggest worry is buying something online and getting the wrong product from what I ordered. Even if the product return is free it's still a massive hassle to prepaid it for return shipment. The other major problem, is I have to take time off from work to receive it. In rare cases, what you see online as the advertised qualities of a product is not what you actially get. I purchased a gaming chair but I ended up returning it because what I got was way less in quality and specs to what I paid for simply because the fulfillment agent decided to substitute an order. I have zero tolerance for product substitution, and I consider it product fraud.

They are extremely overvalued. People for a few months invested in their homes because they had to stay at home more time so it's nice to make the place a lot nicer to be in, also people were spending less on other things like dinning out, traveling, movies etc... Once people make most of the improvements at home their income allows them to make, they'll stop for a while. How many sofas can you fit in your living room? Lol plus it's definitely easier and faster to go into a store, see the sofa you want and be sure that's what you want in your living room.
