Post world war II there is rise of native people and recapturing of thier kand and exstence started. This led to religious extrism, border conflicts and ocuupation conflicts. Examples Africa, Indo-China-Kashmir border, China - tibet, Russia, Ukraine, Libiya, syruan, Iran-iraq, Balochistan- Pakistan, Israil olaestine hamas conflict etc.. It will not stop and its unfirtunate that the sitiation is such that these civil and border wars on name of land, rightfullness and religion will contunue. Mr.Rachman said (at 10:00) they were not able to come together to form a joint government, whether the far right people within Netanyahu's govt & party would allow it etc. Within a day of that statement the joint govt to handle the crisis became a reality!! That is Israel's efficiency - be together for your nation, keep your differences aside. So unlike us, where people contemplate pulwama attack could have been master minded by the incumbent govt keeping elections that were coming 6 months ahead. People outside Israel may offer their wise opinion that the root cause for the attack was Israel govt's policy etc. but that is not voiced by their opposition. Perhaps you don’t recall what ambassador Ahmad said about West Bank. West Bank is heavily cantonized i.e. small ghettos, enclaves with heavy IDF surrounding them and then the long winding wall. I went there three years ago and it was very painful to watch. At one point an IDF soldier pointed a gun at our taxi driver for no reason at all, it was all very despicable.

Indian journalists dont make good moderators or interviewers in my opinion. They interrupt the guest often and even put in their point of view overriding the expert's opinion. They never play the passive role in the interview and definitely dont listen and extract the best from the interviewee
Karan thapar style is modelled on bbc hard talk- many of hard talk interviewers were English so hardly an Indian thing. Karan is not a ground reporter asking opinions. at least know abc of journalism before commenting ie difference between an interviewer and a reporter. if program is not that great - what are yo doing here - go spend your valuable time elsewhere . what a waste of my time too.
If we spend some time delving into history before jumping with a comment, we would find that Hamas was not in the dominant center stage and under spotlight in Gaza (they are absent in West Bank even today) before 2006. However, Israeli occupation on legitimate Palestinian land, further expansion through settlers, inhuman atrocities inflicted upon innocent, unguarded Palestinians dates back to formation of Israeli state in 1948. The decades old conflict can not be linked to Hamas by any sensible mind.

Being sympathetic towards the Palestinians is similar to us being sympathetic towards someone who mugs you at gunpoint but just because you somehow manage to disarm him and trash him the public who are mere bystanders and have nothing to lose then sympathises with the mugger by saying that they are taking up for the underdog. Peace agreement with Hamas is a mirage as Israel will have to give up half of its land. Plus Israel has US and west as it's all weather supporter. Netanyahu is going to come back stronger. Hamas will be greatly finished. Poor Palestinian will become very poor. World will soon forget and go on as usual. Gaza strip will be almost under Israel control.

Mr.Rachman said (at 10:00) they were not able to come together to form a joint government, whether the far right people within Netanyahu's govt & party would allow it etc. Within a day of that statement the joint govt to handle the crisis became a reality!! That is Israel's efficiency - be together for your nation, keep your differences aside. So unlike us, where people contemplate pulwama attack could have been master minded by the incumbent govt keeping elections that were coming 6 months ahead. People outside Israel may offer their wise opinion that the root cause for the attack was Israel govt's policy etc. but that is not voiced by their opposition. This is how/why Israel has been able to thrive as an island, not just survive, for 75 years!

India ie officially India must sympathize with the Israeli dead and kidnapped s but must distance herself from Israel's disproportionate revenge mayhem. Grieved people can with some justification act like that but not by a modern state.

revenge is only a side show - real objective is get gaza khalee so that Israel can secure it. israel cannot settle this issue as hamas doesnt want make any deals - what hamas is asking for is impossible to give for israel. read details elsewhere. that is why even many arab countries were trying to cut deals with Israel less publicly. hamas is a proxy of iran who wants to assert its influence in middle east - that's another dimension to it too.
Perhaps you don’t recall what ambassador Ahmad said about West Bank. West Bank is heavily cantonized i.e. small ghettos, enclaves with heavy IDF surrounding them and then the long winding wall. I went there three years ago and it was very painful to watch. At one point an IDF soldier pointed a gun at our taxi driver for no reason at all, it was all very despicable.

Indian journalists dont make good moderators or interviewers in my opinion. They interrupt the guest often and even put in their point of view overriding the expert's opinion. They never play the passive role in the interview and definitely dont listen and extract the best from the interviewee

Karan thapar style is modelled on bbc hard talk- many of hard talk interviewers were English so hardly an Indian thing. Karan is not a ground reporter asking opinions. at least know abc of journalism before commenting ie difference between an interviewer and a reporter. if program is not that great - what are yo doing here - go spend your valuable time elsewhere . what a waste of my time too.

If we spend some time delving into history before jumping with a comment, we would find that Hamas was not in the dominant center stage and under spotlight in Gaza (they are absent in West Bank even today) before 2006. However, Israeli occupation on legitimate Palestinian land, further expansion through settlers, inhuman atrocities inflicted upon innocent, unguarded Palestinians dates back to formation of Israeli state in 1948. The decades old conflict can not be linked to Hamas by any sensible mind.

Look at history. The Jewish people have survived many pograms and come back stronger. This attack by Hamas will also pass and the Jewish people will get stronger. They are the chosen people.
