What a wonderful and impressive camping site with different species. Support and subs from Dubai.

This first video of the OT I’ve seen with good weather. Hope I’m just as lucky next April. Thanks for sharing.

7:39 seven years later (i.e. 3 wks ago), my wife n i pitched our tent, had our alfresco dinner, and slept overnight on that very same platform.

Thanks guys, I did the track in 1995 after getting out the navy and a tasmanian ex shipmate guided me through it. We went in autumn but Tasmanians reckon the rock and roll of the weather of spring is the best time to hit the bush. Autumn was awswome, snow bits around the sides of Cradle and two canadian guy burst into kitchen hut having survived the night before on Barns Bluff, they took a wrong turn (the day before) and a tent failed or something. So peeps, there are lots of marked tracks on top of cradle but the Overland Track may not be easy to find. Has it changed? Anyway I loved the video but I love what the girl said at the suspension bridge "is it day 6 or 5? i dunno, if forgot" Bingo. Thats what will get me back to the track. The unplugg. Thanks for the highland moores after kitchen hut (day 2) that was our longest day because we decided not camp at Pellion Creek and push onto Pellion Hut. The Moores, I couldnt see my hand in front my face for a couple of hours then i looked up right at a small tarn with an isolated little tree, all alone leaning into the tempest as it has done long before I got there. It was a profound sight for me. Kia Ora, that was my favourite too. Then my heart melted again when you guys walked thru the myrtle forest, how fragil but old are those trees? But tell your children, not all forests are spooky, that forest is actually like a tonic and you feel better by walking thru it. Do they still have the radio to call the boat?

Hi ! Enjoyed your videos. When you climbed the peak, I didn't notice your backpacks. Did you leave them behind on the track? Thanks.

Hi muralidhara mysore, glad you enjoyed the video. Yes, for some of the side trip climbs we left our packs at the bottom. Don’t stress.. there is no chance anyone will steal them. It’s true wilderness out there. Only a handful of other friendly hikers that would never do such a thing:)

Hi there, my husband and I are doing the 6 day Overland track trip at the end of this month. We are wondering where did you get all of your dehydrated meal? Your dinner meals look great and yummy. And also do we get to shower over there? Or just swimming at the waterfall that you showed on this video? Thank you. Your video is awesome!

      Glad you enjoyed your video!
My wife actually made all the meals and dehydrated them using our excalibur dehydrator. We pretty much couldn’t tell the difference between the fresh version and the dehydrated version. Hot tip is to bring along enough mountain bread for each meal as it acts as eatable paper towel to clean your plates with!
No showers but is wasn’t an issue as there were enough places to swim and at least rinse. Invest in as much merino wool clothes and under ware as you can afford as they dry quick and don’t smell.
Best of luck. You will love it
      David
