I have no less than 3 trolleys, two for books, and one next to my craft table taking the most used items and tools. They are so versatile these trolleys. The book trolley next to my bed has the next bedbooks to read and the other is next to my chair in our main room. I love the fairy glen. planning one for our garden. Hope you’re ok x
I keep my priority books from TBR for 2021 on my trolly, then second shelf are reading accessories (bookmarks, glasses, reading light, annotation supplies, etc.) and bottom shelf are all my book sleeves which is an unhealthy obsession lol.
School marks have been a difficult subject for generations. When I was in 2nd grade, in 1981/82 at a private religious school, drawing the Christmas manger scene was the final art assignment before Christmas break. Seriously, I will never forget this! Drawing was not my forte, not in any way shape or form. Well, in the end I failed stick people in 2nd grade. I can still picture the drawing, and the girl Joyce, who got the high mark for the drawing. That situation scarred me deeply. My whole life I've always been fearful and resistant to original art projects, but I do enjoy crafts with a pattern or very specific instructions. Just my two cents about the school mark comments. I've been watching you since the beginning. I always enjoyed you sharing a bit about book selling and helping the bookstore owner and the inventory after the bookstore closed. Your channel gets better all the time. Thank you for sharing with us both books and literary topics and more personal topics. My grandson loves Franklin and Luna 💕
Your disability readathon vids are keeping me so excited and motivated to read :) I was wondering if you/others have this experience, but I find paperbacks so much easier to read because I have limited mobility in my hands/pain and I drop or lose my page in hardbacks all the time! Also, when I have a settled place, my first purchase is going to be a book trolley, possibly two! Look wonderful!
I find that if I’m reading on the go, but given that I’m just indoors at the moment I tend to sit with my knees propping the book open in front of me and that takes away any strain.
Awe I luv that yellow book trolley. Regarding PAIN per se, i often question those pain scales because pain is relative and subjective, so I will be looking out for that book you showed. Thank you
Pain Woman Takes Your Keys sounds like EXACTLY what I need!! I hate giving pain ratings so much - I’ll give the same pain a different score depending on what other pains in my body I’m comparing it to that day 😅 very precise
Loved seeing the fairy content on your insta today, so lovely! Michael Rosen sounds joyful! My favourite bookshop "celebrity" encounter was spotting Bill Nighy in Hatchards and then again in Piccadilly Waterstones on the same day... I loved that we had the same bookshop crawl plan :') I was too scared to chat to him though!
I got deja vu when you showed the forest spread in the "How Life on Earth Began." I could swear that you've shown a beautiful, illustrated nature spread like that before, but maybe I'm going crazy?
Hey, your story about the schooling reminded me of something. A teacher told me that in the GCSE exam a child had to analyse the poem half-caste but they did not know no that half-caste was a derogatory term for being biracial so they thought that half-cast was about a piece of pottery that was only half formed and they failed that question! Why couldn't it have been about the pottery? There isn't only one way to interpret poetry! I am a trainee English teacher so I find these stories fascinating.
I really should read more non fiction... not a lot really appeals to me but Islands of Abandonment sounds eerily fascinating. Will be adding it to my list :-) also, loving how the fairy 'dwelling' is looking!
I didn't realise it was disabilities readathon month in April, that sounds fantastic, but I already have reading plans. hmm I might have to start mid April and finish mid Instead. 🙂
I appreciate publishers comparing their books to other novels and shows in the blurb. "For fans of Exciting Times and Fleabag"? Cool, now I know not to touch it with a 10 foot pole 😆
@@jenvcampbell I wish we did have Ikea, I'd go nuts! 😂 I'll have a good old rummage about & see what's what. Fingers crossed some lovely shop will have one for me! 😊👍
Yay for book trollies 🙂 I just had chaotic piles of books by the side of my bed and now they're neatly on the trolley, I love it.
I keep my TBR on an IKEA cart also. It’s a good way to keep my TBR under control. If I want more new books, I’ve got to get some read.
A very good strategy ☺️
Oh I love the look of that picture book how life began. Lovely!
Isn't it gorgeous? x

I love how wide-ranging your reading tastes are! My TBR grows ever longer, with each of your book recommendation & haul videos. 😄

Love the fairy dwelling (and am always buying and enjoying books after your videos).
Oh I really want to read King of Rabbits - I have it listed for when it appears in paperback or Libraries open here - whichever is first.
Just ordered Pain Woman Takes Your Keys. So grateful for the rec.
Hope you enjoy it! x

Ah, I've only ever encountered him in a bookish way, too. Sat next to him on the tube when he was reading a book

I have a soft spot for beautiful picture books. You could be thinking of The Night Life of Trees or Prudence and her Amazing Adventure x

Where is your heat bag from please, Jen? The one I’ve got is not comfortable and doesn’t retain heat for long. Any recommendations welcome x
It’s by a company called blue badge designs x

I just looked for Islands of Abandonment in my local bookstore and the American cover is HORRIBLE WHY

You can copy and paste from the description box if that helps :) x
It does thanks
🖤🌻
Me, having seen various bookcarts of late, covets said bookcart.
Ikea: "I don't exist in your country"
Me: tears*
Lots of different places do them, mine is not from IKEA, see the links in the description box x
