I have always use tube jigs for crappie. They work so well. My favorite color is pink body white tails. I have even out fished guys next to me using live minnows. Tube jugs work so well.
Docks are one of the best places to fish for crappie on the lake. My grandparents have a condo at the lake of the ozarks and I always catch a lot of good sized crappie on the docs.
I would love to take you if I could. I am going to be out of state then. The crappie typically are very eager to hit jigs suspended around docks and brush that time of year. If I can I will try and point you in the right direction for what to look for in what's working when we get a little closer.

I think the sound of the docks creeking on the water would drive me bonkers.
I loved it at the beginning but the sound of that dock creaking was too much for me..
That was a big fish coming up to eat your crappie. Enjoyed the video
I thought the same thing after watching the film in editing. Would have loved to catch whatever it was.
those docks public?
This particular one is private for owners of boat slips. There are some fishing docks that are public at alohana you can pay to fish at in Lake Ozark
Nice hat Buddy!!! Great video, you make it look so simple! Can't wait to get out and catch some before winter!
Thanks! Tight lines and go big red
I'm coming up there October 14th . would you take me? I own show me jigs and would love to see if some of my prototypes lure work there to.

Talk more about technique... are you jigging, dead sticking, dragging on the bottom?
