Amazing video. Of course there are so many more and you can't include all of them. Some of the ones I had hoped to see: Athene "the best Paladin in the world", Pat the Tauren Warrior wrecking people in Arathi Basin while playing Soil, Drakedog the Chinese warlock owning people in world pvp, and the makers of the Illegal Danish videos and especially the "Arcanite Reaper, hooooooooooo" guy.
There's a million and one stories I could tell you about my guild (Karazahn, EU West, Horde) and it's members, back during TBC, but, my favourite one... We had, no joke, a 60+ year old, one-legged Bulgarian in the guild who literally, no matter what time you were on, was online "farming". He'd say "I'll join you" in chat for a dungeon or raid, and then log in a fully geared character you'd not seen before. He had everything, and tons of gold. He was sussy to say the least... but, we put it down to him living off disability pay and being able to be online all day and night. Well, my brother was the Guild Leader and his PC had blown, so the guild was a bit mismanaged, people literally not raiding because he wasn't there to lead (and carry). This was at a time when the Guild Bank system had just been introduced, so people were putting into the gbank... but, not able to manage the items inside, nor withdraw. People were pissed off about not being able to use the bank, but, what we didn't know is that the 60-odd year old bloke had been sneakily contacting Blizzard GM's until he found the right one... Who only went and made the decision to give him Guild Leader status!!! I logged in the next day, and people in gchat were like "mate... check the guildbank...". He'd gone in and completely rinsed the gbank of all it's items and money... And then left the server with our best Rogue... Who, coincidentally had just gotten his 2nd glaive.
Thank you for this video! I was searching for a video like this for ages and was fortunate enough to stumble upon yours. You Sir, have gained one more subscriber!
Zeuzo was and is a legend, guy is Swedish/Iranian and a now distant friend of mine. He studied law but due to his Method experience he got work in gaming industry (Yes, hiring manager knew his nick). Another less fun fact is that the money he got from selling his char he used to buy stuff for his home which later had a break-in and most of it was stolen.
It's been 17 years since TBC and to this day, if I ever meet Doofus from Dunemaul... he could be the nicest guy in the world; shit is still going down.
Hahahaha waaaiiitttt.... Dunemaul EU? Alliance dwarf hunter? I had personal beef with him in the multi day AVs. I would single him out in the crowd and ff him to gank him and he would do the same to me to hours on end ignoring everyone else around. 😂 Fkn hated that guy. Played in guild a few good men.
Paused the video and came to the comments directly for Hell March commentary. Never am I disappointed with @madseasonshow for his OST callouts or the community for their appreciation.
In 05-06 I actually purchased Joanas 1-60 guide online thus realizing after I purchased it that he lived in the same city as me. At the time I remember emailing him and asking if they wanted to hang out in which he replied "naw im good, thanks for the purchase though" lol legend! I was just a kid at the time so i didnt know any better, i just remember thinking how cool it would have been to become friends with Joana! haha
NGL this makes me really reminisce the times I have been on my computer for almost forever everyday non stop grinding. nice video! they will be forever remembered
i will always cry seeing tributes to reckful. i grew up playing runescape, peering into wow through the eyes of streams like soda and reckful. it wasn't until years later i even tried the game, i hardly even knew how to gauge how well he was doing, but his openness about his personal life and easy-going personality still inspires me. i miss him so much. thanks for the video.
Dam Joana died this year? Sorry to hear that, loved his guides. 20 years is a long time, and have had a number of friends I've met on line pass away, many who were very young. I've also met many people who have major disabilities or dying of cancer and other diseases. I know it's just a game but for some people it gives them a connection to others they can't get elsewhere given their circumstances.
Great video! An extra layer of hilarity to Tinyviolin is that, even before the 4 horsemen incident (and subsequent AQ40 incident), he was perhaps the most notorious griefer in all of 2019 Classic! The 16 account multibox dispelling happened before any of this, and the guild that he griefed in Hardcore fully knew his history. They were told by literally THOUSANDS of players not to play with him, but they fell on deaf ears. This made their decision to undo their character deaths even more extreme, since every player involved fully knew the risks they were taking by playing with him.
OG Darkspear was known for a few things, mainly Swifty's OG videos making his hands glow, but the greatest thing that ever happened to the server was Merciless Midgets and their GM Healem. This was one of the original "smalls only" guilds that loudly proclaimed "DEATH TO TALLS", ninja'd loot, and set up tollbooths around Azeroth with Horde rogues waiting nearby for those that didn't pay up. Someone has kept their website up all these years too... it's amazing. Funny thing is, Healem disappeared then popped up in WOTLK and got Realm first 80
Man, seeing Hobbs on this list made me so happy. Obviously I followed Swifty and Reckful and Soda for the crazy PvP stuff, but Hobbs I think was the first one I found and followed (and still follow). His mass pulling videos were so amazing to me back in the day I wanted to do that so badly too. Also, Joana was such an inspiration back in the day, I bought his guide for leveling and followed it pretty thoroughly until outlands.
Last few weeks I have been feeling nostalgic. I have been going back through your videos. This is a great way to get the hole Series rather then jumping around trying to find 1 2 3 so on.
Absolutely amazing video. I think it's very telling that almost all of those are from the old days, says a lot about the lack of player interaction direction the game took, forsaking its roots in what makes a MMORPG truly great.
Thanks very much for this. I have not played WoW for awhile now, but this sure brings back all the great memories of old. Simpler times, simpler times.....
That was a wonderful video. The service for Reckful... everybody kneeling... it broke me up. I'm a Wrath baby, so I just barely remember the peak days.
I remember years back there was an Alliance player who took things strange by genuinely believing only evil people played Horde. Even if you mostly played Alliance, if you had just one Horde character, then you were an actual evil person and she'd do everything she could to cause drama/trouble for you in game and on the forums. No one could talk sense to her no matter how much they tried. Her character was something like a priest or mage, and while I've forgotten what server she was on or her character name beyond it started with an A and might've had angel worked in there somehow, she managed to tick off everyone on her server until both Horde and Alliance came together in cooperation to mass spam snowballs at her back when they had knockback soon as she was spotted in game. Last I remember, she was convinced all Horde were still evil and all Alliance players were traitors.
thats eillness a religios person can develop - eg f ii parallel run my thoughts i could say that also but im sane enough not or i could argue by wasting your time playing a game you are eveil or me anyway helps me a lot of pinpointing how eveil rightious people can be or do
I've been playing on Ghostlands (US servers) since 2010 and I'll always remember this guy named Noix. Whenever I'd come on he'd always be chilling in Trade Chat. And he still does. Recently even just helped him gather materials for one of his weeklies. Little interactions like that keep making the game so special to me.
Loved the video, especially the throwback to Vurtne's video. It was insane to see him taking out multiple Alliance people at once. Had to edit my comment to add in that it's really sad to hear about Joana. I remember buying a .PDF leveling guide (1-60) from them and it was brilliant.
I remember when Reckful passed, and I recall just how GUTTED his community was. Man had a massive impact and I remember seeing him pop up under Recommended many times. I'm glad Blizzard honored him with an in game Rogue who looks like his iconic character. He, and many others who passed, proved that WoW was a great unifier. This was a great compilation. Thank you.
Remember server identity, and character identity on a server? You knew of certain players as allies, enemies, great players, dastardly thieves, comedians, etc. ...these things Blizzard has tossed away through instances, cross-server queues, phasing, layering, etc. Now, other players are just kind of there, and most you'll see in the open world or in a dungeon you will never see again. Something very important was lost.
It's why I love playing on Moon Guard/RP servers in general. It is very common for me to recognize some people! And intermingling/social stuff is very common and very fun!
@@lapio8222 Who are you?? Acting like you know me in the slightest lol. Thanks for the reminder though I have updated them since I drew that so I need to change my pfp :]
You should do one on Copperfield (On Shattered Hand where Death and Taxes were before their transfer). He was a notorious troll, and a pretty good pvper. He crashed the server several times at the gurubashi arena. He one day promised to quit if anyone could show up and kill him. He was so hated that basically the whole server showed up and back then it couldn't take it. The server crashed and at the end he was dead this final time. He went through and deleted his character (though many suspected he came back as a different toon but stopped trolling). He was a shattered hand legend. And that was a server with a lot of legends
@MadSeasonShow I love the fact, that you used Final Fantasy VII and IX music❤ My fav. in the series. Only the Mad season show can do this, with his soothing voice, narrating one hell of a video! Thank you for your Top Quality content, Sir🙏🏽
One you missed: On Steamwheedle Cartel server - Sept 06, 2006: The Advent, using a transfer who completed all but the very final step of the Sceptre of the Shifting Sands on another server, opened the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. Several other guilds both alliance and horde faction had made significant progression towards doing this, but because SWC opened a bit later than others, they were able to transfer in and do this. Blizzard ultimately brought the ability to do that to a halt by causing a 90 day delay on a transfer using the Scepter, but the damage was done on SWC server and never undone.
Reckful reincarnated into a Palestinian baby and he was 2 years old when Israel blew him to bits which is ironic considering he was Jewish in his most recent former life. No one knows where he’s at now, hopefully reborn in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Switzerland, Denmark or Japan. He loved Japan and the Netherlands in his Byron Bernstein life.
Definitely amusing that you put Goon Squad and Elitist Jerks back-to-back since they have ties to each other on Mal'ganis going back to the original beta.
I didn't know who Reckful was, but I remember participating in the cathedral vigil when he died. I hope his fans are doing okay, and maybe even go off to inspire people in their own way. One of the most heartbreaking deaths in the WoW community for me was Hayven Games' death. I used to watch his videos all the time, and I remember where I was when I saw the video announcing that he died. It was a sucker punch to my emotions that day, I'll never forget him. I'm still subbed to him, and honestly I think I might go hit up those videos again
Kinda bummed you missed the Night Elf Hunter Dysphoria who was known for their "hunter vs world" videos soloing level 60 Vanilla dungeons and heroic dungeons in BC.
Great vid and Wreckful...........good guy and what a loss. Playing for a long time myself i can say its more than Nostalgia and "just a game". I'd like also to mention other players i lost any info about, such as: Sarotti mage, Unmercey rogue, Dance s-priest, Helvetica s-priest, Sorrow lock. Thats is quite a bit of history. I love the memories i have of Warcraft, that's why i'm playing to these days. /Salute to all, expecially from late Vanilla season (the time i starter playing it).
Good video.. brings back memories... surprised no mention of the Mage from Illidan "Otherguy" I used to roll around with him in blackrock mountain killing people on my warrior... good days.
Awesome video, really took me back to amazing times during my own journey in the game. A bit surprised not to see Otherguy, the PvP Mage from Illidan here but he might not have been famous enough. :)
I remember in Vanilla doing pre-made AV's with Kungen after he got might of menethil, we would just run right to the end and he would just tank everything and hold agro with his 2H mace. Good times.
1:04:05 Small correction, UA-cam launched in early 2005, not 2007. It was sold to Google in late 2006 and after the sale is when it started to really blow up which is why most people didn't know about it till 2007 or later :)
The Tinyviolin story started when he was multi-boxing priests and dispelling world buffs in classic wow. He played on private servers under the name Tinyviolin, was a guild master of raiding guild, and talked openly about how he would grief on the upcoming HC servers. The leaders of HC Elite were allegedly aware of his back story and intentions; it was all very public information.

So glad you decided to reupload this as a full length video. I needed this.😂
Amazing video.
What a fantastic video. The Reckful part made me tear up a bit with the music in the background man. Thank you for giving me a trip down memory lane.
I genuinely appreciate you managed to fit in a "told you so, btw" in the middle of an ad cut. 10/10 would watch ad again.
MadSeason you absolute legend; uploading an hour and twenty minute long video. Christmas' come early. Thank you.
mad respect for the Hell March @ 33:23. absolutely amazing song. your videos always have the best music
Yeah i freaking love this song lol even playing at work
Kids who think the Doom music is badass clearly never played Red Alert
I had no idea that he recently passed away in 2024. RIP. I still use his 1-60 guide whenever my Classic sub is active.
What? I watch his streams still
Great video!
Funny thing is, Healem disappeared then popped up in WOTLK and got Realm first 80
Dramaspear forum shenanigans and Ablis's pvp videos were a staple for me back in the day
swear it was MM who got my account banned, wouldn't leave me alone in game so a 13 year old brain typed a whole bunch of abusive words that day haha
The Serenity Now incident is -the- most memorable and hilarious thing to this day for me personally for wow.
8:15
His legacy still lives in in Diablo 4, Barbarian has a really good 1 hand Unique Sword called Ramaladni's Magnum Opus
20:02 The Raid Leader Hearthstone card is based on Dives. It uses some of his quotes for different interactions.
Wonderful video as always. The Joana and Reckful part brought me to tears. May their souls rest in peace.
I was never anything but a casual player, but it’s interesting to see how the game took on a life of its own. Fascinating video.
Corpsegrinder is not only a wow player but he's a REALLY wholesome dude and great dad. Legit.
Thanks very much for this. I have not played WoW for awhile now, but this sure brings back all the great memories of old. Simpler times, simpler times.....
I’ve been out of the WoW community since BFA. I didn’t know that Joana passed away. Hours and hours of my life spent studying Joana guides.
Man, this video brought back some HUGE memories. I've been playing since launch week, so it's incredible seeing some of these names again after years.
Last I remember, she was convinced all Horde were still evil and all Alliance players were traitors.
thats eillness a religios person can develop - eg f ii parallel run my thoughts i could say that also but im sane enough not or i could argue by wasting your time playing a game you are eveil or me anyway helps me a lot of pinpointing how eveil rightious people can be or do
“Everyone get in here!! Madseason is on!!”
HEY, EVERYONE! GET IN HERE!
Man that Anduin theme always makes me emotional and tying it to that last segment defintely didnt help haha, awesome video!
Dude, I still listen to your playlist of "My Story" at least twice a month while I'm working. Been doing it for years.
Loved the video, especially the throwback to Vurtne's video. It was insane to see him taking out multiple Alliance people at once.
Had to edit my comment to add in that it's really sad to hear about Joana. I remember buying a .PDF leveling guide (1-60) from them and it was brilliant.
I love this compilation! Best way to unwind, relax, and sleep
Excellent video as always!
Thank you.
RIP BYRON - RECKFUL 💜✌️
I logged on after the news and went to the stormwind cathedral and it was completely full of kneeling players in rows, put tears in my eyes.
His death left me actually emotionally shaken, which i thought would never be possibe for a person i only "knew" as a viewer. Rip Reckful
True.
It's why I love playing on Moon Guard/RP servers in general. It is very common for me to recognize some people! And intermingling/social stuff is very common and very fun!
@@WrenzyArt With a profile pic like that, don't act like thats the only reason you're on moonguard
@@lapio8222 Who are you?? Acting like you know me in the slightest lol. Thanks for the reminder though I have updated them since I drew that so I need to change my pfp :]
@@WrenzyArt Hit a nerve huh
You should do one on Copperfield (On Shattered Hand where Death and Taxes were before their transfer). He was a notorious troll, and a pretty good pvper. He crashed the server several times at the gurubashi arena. He one day promised to quit if anyone could show up and kill him. He was so hated that basically the whole server showed up and back then it couldn't take it. The server crashed and at the end he was dead this final time. He went through and deleted his character (though many suspected he came back as a different toon but stopped trolling). He was a shattered hand legend. And that was a server with a lot of legends
I've recently found your channel and watched a few videos, but this is the one that made me subscribe. Loved every moment. GG
@MadSeasonShow I love the fact, that you used Final Fantasy VII and IX music❤ My fav. in the series. Only the Mad season show can do this, with his soothing voice, narrating one hell of a video! Thank you for your Top Quality content, Sir🙏🏽
Such a great video. Brought back tons of memories. The music and story at the end man, great editing.
Well done, and thank you for adding to the memories ❤
Reck and Indal and Joana. That was hitting on feels. I'm not crying, You're crying!

I love that Hobbs is still active and streaming. Most wholesome content creator.
What an amazing episode!!! Thanks so much for this!!!
Joe's belt and Ventrilo Harassment was THE SHIT back in the day. I listened to ALL of those while playing wow back then.
Thank you for making this video. This brought back wonderful memories.
Great vid and Wreckful...........good guy and what a loss. Playing for a long time myself i can say its more than Nostalgia and "just a game". The community at times has been absolutely amazing and those times with friends made i wouldn't trade for anything. I know there are a great many out there who feel like i do. Love the vids Madseason, don't ever stop bro.
Top Tier Video, i like it very very much and the Reckful part made my cry..
But making a Video like this without shouting out THE Warrior Swifty is wild.
Oh man, I was on that server when Anologkid got the bow. The meltdown that lasted for weeks in trade chat was comic gold.
While I won't be needing this video now, because I just re-watched every video like 3 days ago but I will be coming back to this so thanks for the upload xD
A beautiful tribute. Thanks for making heartfelt videos.
Nice! I like a MadSeasonShow compilation in the afternoon!
Joana's guides are a core memory of my childhood
> leave Menethil Harbor to quest
> get ganked
AAAAANNNGWEEEE
Amazing video! It really brought me back. I can't believe so much time has passed.
Oh man, this video was a merry go round of emotions. Some stories i did know, others didn't.
Bro I love your editing and your music choice, makes it a superawesome watch. Thanks.
You missed DRAKEDOG!!!!!
1hr 20min Madseason Wow video drop in Friday... ooohhhh. Already a good weekend!
Good video.. brings back memories... surprised no mention of the Mage from Illidan "Otherguy" I used to roll around with him in blackrock mountain killing people on my warrior... good days.
"coneheads" being derogatory has to be one of the funniest things I've heard come out of stories about classic
This is one hell of a ride. A real movie. Thank you!
Awesome video, really took me back to amazing times during my own journey in the game. A bit surprised not to see Otherguy, the PvP Mage from Illidan here but he might not have been famous enough. :)
that 32 day unarmed Ironman might be my favorite, i just can't imagine doing that ever when I could do some others if I was a NEET
Awesome video man. Appreciate all the hard work you put in for us
Right after I binge watched the entire series again 🤣
Madseason is one of the best creators on YT I swear. Not a single video that isn’t worth my time watching. Keep being yourself, Madseason!
You should talk about Vips on proudmoore. Dude head weekly raids to kill horde leaders during wotlk. Such a legend
I remember in Vanilla doing pre-made AV's with Kungen after he got might of menethil, we would just run right to the end and he would just tank everything and hold agro with his 2H mace. Good times.
So glad you ended the video with the two arguably and in my opinion important people in the Wow history.
1:04:05 Small correction, UA-cam launched in early 2005, not 2007. It was sold to Google in late 2006 and after the sale is when it started to really blow up which is why most people didn't know about it till 2007 or later :)
Appreciate the Reckful tribute at the end
love it, only one i missed in the vid was Hayven Games
Rest in Peace Byron-(Reckful)
You made my life better by being a streamer and I still visit you in Stormwind as Horde every few weeks.
I feel like this video is how I found you, what a throwback
I can't wait for the High Warlord Crumbshirt episode!
I like that you choose the: 'Kids Run Through the City' From FF6. I like you.
