This is honestly great- i mean im all modded out but i love that this opens door for a larger community for vitaisland- there are many people who dont like/ trust the whole mod thing and showing them this would definitely encourage em to at least consider a vita or start using one yhey already had again- my little bro would definitely appreciate this (;

This a huge step in the right direction but there's still complications for OFW users (especially the necessary demo part).
Afaik that's true for everyone, not only OFW users. You need at least one 'official' download so the unique store key of your Vita can be decrypted and then used to sign games from unofficial sources. At least that's how I understand the process works.
It depends on what region you're from as far as game availability goes, I am aware that Sony has sadly delisted some certain demos that were used in the past. 😭

This release is actually really major. It fixes psx games with cdda audio and increases the compatibility for many psx games that were broken before.

I am not sure if this is by far possible because of this news. Months ago, there was a plugin made that unlocks the pocketstation feature on Vita where it lets you emulate the pocketstation memory card on the PS Vita provided you have the PS1 game on it. However, this seems to be not possible, as far as I know, on the hack version since PS1 games run on eboot. The pocketstation will look for the PS1 game bubble on the Vita itself and not through Adrenaline. Might test this theory should I get the time
I haven't tried that myself, but from what I was reading in the comment sections on Reddit it seems to be compatible now. Though again I'm just strictly going off that.
Well you need an original game from psn from the list copy the game to pc using content manager then extract the license and inject on a iso to make the game "licensed" and thus playable...sounds easy to me...

Check the video description, it has all the information you need. It just requires you to do a bit of tweaking between certain game demos depending on what region you're from, and the content manager on your PC.

Yep you sure can! You're essentially tricking the system into thinking that it is officially licensed on your PS vita, even though it's only just an ISO file.

You know what? I miss playing on my Vita, I was trying to build the best Zeon MS team on my Switch (SD Gundam G Generation Genesis) but I'm starting to desire playing to every retro/Vita game I own more and more.
First games for my "come back" on the Vita? Dino Crisis 1 & 2 Japanese version on every difficulty modes.

@@PSVitaat2am Funny enough, I have Genesis on the Vita too. Gundam Breaker is a part of my collection but never managed to find Breaker 2, 3 or even the Battle SEED universe game at a decent price.

I check online and the port is not cheap sadly. I'll try to hardmod it to Type C i see some converters and way more cheaper.

Still waiting for an upscale mod/hack that would work with all psp games on adrenaline, the psp resolution on vita sucks

I mean you could play it on emulators like 4x the resolution. But playing psp titles on a dedicated handheld such as our Vita is a totally different experience. So yeah Great content btw.!

im thinking about modding my vita if possible at this point, i have 2 slims 1 oled and a pstv....then i think of the memory cards and screw that....i learned what can happen from constant swapping between 1 system and a pstv...my 16gb card died like in 3 months.
If you have that many then yes it's definitely worth modding at least one of them. 💪

Sorry about that. I wish I could make more news videos about official content for PS Vita, unfortunately they are few and far between these days. Hopefully this will help though.

I sold my ps vita after having it for one year the system is dead there is some awesome games on the system but after you experience it the system is over.

But man these prices for the console these days. I remember when it was easy to find a Like New one for under $100...
I bought a couple from Japan (1000 red and 1000 white), much cheaper than in UK/US and Japanese sellers seem very honest!

I'm curious about performance and ease. How well does a non modded PSVita stack up to a modded one? Also, I haven't run into this yet (because I have too many choices and keep switching games), but what about disc swappage? I'm a JRPG Nut and several big names are multi disc games. Will a non modded Vita be able to play those?
Multi disc ps1 games already required you to manually swap the disc in the settings when you needed to go to a different cd. It's been a while since i've done it but i did play ff7 through on an unmodded vita a long time ago and that's a 3 disc game.
Good response up there ☝️ but also in regards to how a non modded PS1 play through stacks up against a modded- the modded definitely comes up on top for the amount of customization you can do to optimize a PS1 games experience mainly different screen sizes and pixel manipulation to smooth things and a prevent that flicker/ judder PS1 games usually have but all and all base performance is not bad on the vita
Yep it's exactly as Don stated. I remember being very curious about this myself back when I first started getting into PS1 titles via downloads. Thankfully they made it pretty easy.

Yes it's a remake of the original, done from the ground up.
PS Vita is the greatest system ever now we must convince Sony not to make a streaming system but it's own system regarding this Q lite system or whatever it's is going to be called when it comes to the west

For PSP I always preferred Chovvy over adrenaline, to be honest. It just felt a "cleaner" way to have PSP games installed with their own bubble like regular games, without having to run an emulated PSP firmware first.
True, I guess you could say this is offering the best of both worlds now.
