Welcome to the the Arcane aftermath. Where you can not get enough, and to feel real things again you need to watch other people watch Arcane for the 1st time and this amazing docu-series. It's almost the joke of that after you watch Arcane your only job is to try and tell all your friends to watch it as well. This particular episode almost felt too short as a person who is a huge music fan as well. I have never felt anything like I have with Arcane and can never speak highly enough of this series.
I could watch an entire feature-length version of this documentary focused on the pop songwriting alone. To say nothing of the fantastic orchestral score, which doesn't get nearly the love it deserves.
Coming from the future here, I can’t stand the overbearing criticism of season 2. As much as I loved season 1, I wasn’t inspired to seek out additional Arcane content like Bridging the rift after watching season 1. But since I watched the series finale, I’ve been unhealthily seeking each and everything Arcane. Such a labor of love.
Things to note 0:31 - Yes, people indeed call Riot a music company who makes games at the side. We have for a long time, and that meme will not stop. 2:25 - Remember the 'break year' in 2017? Yeah Mako joined Fortiche for the 2018 music video Rise, where he is 1 of 2 singers, technically 3 as a 3rd person 'Bobby' joins for the opening ceremony 2018 in Korea. 13:13 - Doing the 'break year' in 2017, remember the KDA pop music group. Bea Miller was chosen as 1 of 4 singers, her character being Evelynn. She was also part of the 2018 opening ceremony in Korea. 13:13 - Also plz watch the full Worlds 2021 Opening Ceremony, Bea was not the only one who was part of the live action ARCANE. 15:26 - Denzel Curry returns for Worlds 2021 and he gets a special unheard rap part in the middle of the song Burn It All Down. 18:00 - Eyyyy that's Pentakill Lightbringer. Fun fact Pentakill currently has the most songs made for LoL. If anyone likes metal music, check out their 3 albums. 2 hours worth of music. PENTAKILL - ALL SONGS/ALL ALBUMS (Smite and Ignite, Grasp of Undying e Lost Chapter) 19:39 - PVRIS was also chosen to sing the Worlds Anthem 2021 Burn It All down. She too was part of the 2021 Opening Ceremony. 21:30 - Facts. Members of Imagine Dragons do or have played League. They were also part in creating the very first and currently most watched Worlds Anthem 2014 called Warriors. The band was on stage for the 2014 Worlds ceremony. 25:13 - Sting and Ray Chen at the Game Awards 2021 was truly something special. Also their names combined is Stingray, fancy that.
It is crazy inspiring to know Christian started off in support for Riot, I am a developer and I could only dream to work at a place like Riot. But that gives me hope!
This series made me appreciate the show even more than I did before, I have no history in any of the fields necessary for a show like this but I always appreciate and think about the work that gets put into something like this, but this series just showed it even more and if there is one thing that makes me really happy in this world its seeing talented and passioned people coming together to create a masterpiece like arcane, I mean I am not even someone that watches animation alot but after seeing the show it skyrocketed to my favorite show, ofc alot of it also has to do with the characters and story, to which I can relate alot but also the work and mastery that shaped this project. Thanks for this reaction its great to watch some people that also appreciate this stuff react to it, me and my friends watched it when they released the documentary but they sadly dont care about this stuff as much as I do so its just really great to see some people that do talk about it.
Thank you for watching this with us! One of the reasons we started this was to connect with people that also appreciated all the details that make something great! ❤️
I really wanted to see this episode, becouse when you see arcane for the first time, you can easy see, the love in all the moments of the series, they put so mutch of them in there, I needed to see their perspective, becouse yes, the song of this show is a Masterpiece!!! And this episode was for me the best, becouse yes it showed me the dedication of them, the all things they thought, it's speechless, it's really a master work, well done Riot, and thank you guys for reacting to this, you insta become one of my favourite UA-camrs, I'm in to more videos of yours!!
If you guys are super into the music, Riot actually has another documentary (just one part) called Frequencies they did a few years back about Christian Linke (surprise, surprise) and the development of their music department.
Arcane hit us like a ton of bricks! Really! The character development is so beautifully done. They outshined themselves in the writing department and everything else has a bar of excellence that never wavers through the entire show and across the production 👏
HAPPY SOON TO BE BIRTHDAY just in case we can’t catch you to congratulate you on time. Thanks for being a truly awesome Knight! Episode 5 will be dropping soon enough ❤️
@@OfficialMediaKnights where to begin they have a lot of content, there is the ryze cinematic call of power that shows a bit of the rune wars Heimerdinger talked about on the show, the yearly cinematics to start the new league season every year, the most popular are, warriors 2020 version, awaken, and the call, or some of the other stuff they have done with fortiche like the get jinxed music video or the rise music video just to name a few
It's interesting and sad that they were temping with a David Bowie song. It would have been interesting to hear Bowie give his take on that song had he been alive to make it. If the show had come out soon enough, that might have been on the table.
I don't know if you guys will see this, but have you reacted to or seen Blue Eye Samurai yet? It's kind of like Mulan combined with Kill Bill but animated.
The love and detail in every single part of this masterpiece is mind blowing and so inspiring....I still cried and got chills when they played certain parts of he music in this BTR episode....it transports me right back to the scene and the emotions. Just incredible
Same here! There’s certain moments in Arcane where it’s impossible to not get emotional. Specially when everything has this synergy in quality like animation, music and writing. This episode was phenomenal!
Oh, man! Was really-really waiting for you to post reaction to ep. 4 and 5 ☺️ thanks a lot! IT IS an amazing journey of emotions, examples of care, love and devotion for something… that was incredible piece of craft/art ❤️ p.s. when you’ll miss Arcane for a while - try “Warriors” or “Awaken” to watch 😉 doesn’t help too much, but help a bit
Definitely reacting to those 2 soon! Thank you so much for showing up for the bridging the rift reactions! It means the world to both of us 😄 episode 5 is coming this week as well 😀
People often compare Arcane to Into the Spider-Verse for its animation and rich visual design, but I feel like the two are also akin in their approach to music. Like Mako and the other composers behind Arcane, Daniel Pemberton also created an original soundtrack for Spider-Verse that merges traditional orchestral score with pop and hip hop songs as integral parts of the world-building and storytelling. Hell, both even ended up spawning mega-hits, in "Sunflower" and "Enemy," that later viewers are often surprised to learn were written for their respective movie/ show. And they both feature some truly spectacular, all-timer sequences that pair original pop songs with perfectly matched visuals - think the "What's Up Danger" sequence from Spider-Verse or the Jinx/Ekko fight. As a musician and film score buff, I'm always excited when a movie or TV show does something original with its music, and Arcane and Spider-Verse are true highlights in this regard.
Ahhh man “What’s Up Danger” is fantastic and the sequence they used in it was just perfection! Composer Samuel Kim has a rendition that we like a lot! Music is so important to us when it comes to the feel of filmmaking we are watching. I’m glad Arcane delivered 😃😄
If youre interested in the making of "what could have been", mako (the producer) has a video on his channel talking about it It goes a little more in detail but its worth checking out in my opinion
Holy sh[_]! I'm f[_]ing honored guys (I don't know why I've been swearing so much lately, maybe some hit TV series is influencing me 🤔). Thank you so much for practicing pronouncing my old username .💗💗💗 Also, a tip for Lord Crispin (didn't Daemon called Sir Criston Sir Crispin?): there are plenty of ways to make Denise cry, but for Ari, the most effective way is to conjure up Vander's voice. Example: "You've got a good heart. Don't ever loose it. Take care of the family. Take care of Denise. Wathever happens, it's ON YOU."😈😈😈
I have a weird relationship with the music in arcane. I applaud the effort, and absolutely love the pop integrations, but the rest of the instrumental pieces had no impact on me for the most part. I really pay attention to film music, I love recognizing themes. But here all this music is so mixed in my memories (I've seen Arcane like 4 times at this point) I cannot really pin point the themes they talked about, it's kinda sad. I only remember heavy strings background music but not a lot of identity to it? Maybe there is no space for them? The show is packed, very fast paced, going from one place to another... then most of the more intense moments are occupied by the pop songs (which are greaaat). The themes and motives are too subtle I think for our brain to pick on them, with everything going on. Which is sad. Because they did a lot of work on it apparently. I hope it can shine better on the next seasons :)
The orchestral soundtrack is also available. At UA-cam (the channel is Riot Music I think). But also at Spotify etc. There is also a yt-video of a guy who analyses the orchestral themes of arcane.
@@mullworm I know I listen to the album already.... thanks for the recommandation though, I thought no one was talking about the instrumental music hence me thinking it's mostly not noticeable
I see what you mean! Now that I think about it we only truly remember the tracks with lyrics and not much of the orchestral album when it comes to when exactly it plays in the show. We’ve played the orchestral as music background while we write our own projects but you’re right. Maybe it did get a little lost in the grand scale of Arcane

@@peteryang5056 I couldn't agree more. They could have had a 5 part docu-series on just the art of the music for Arcane lol.
The music in this has its own private lounge in our brains. Specially while writing our own projects. This episode was fantastic! ❤️👏

Awesome facts all around! Thank you for sharing these 😄
The music in this show really elevate the already masterpiece show to another level
As if they needed yet another thing to make this show near perfect!
There's actually a music video where Christian did the vocals. It's called "The Curse of the Sad Mummy"
Oh wow! Gonna have to check out his music! Thanks for letting us know 😄
It is crazy inspiring to know Christian started off in support for Riot, I am a developer and I could only dream to work at a place like Riot.

That scene was excellent. Can’t wait to see how their relationship evolves in S2 😄

Right!? The tracks in this are absolutely a work of art. But “What could’ve been” takes #1 for us 😃
17:30 that was in episode one, when he said he saw a craigslist post for client support at Riot
We can’t believe where he started and how it’s been for him thus far. Truly proves talent and dedication will always shine ❤️
