26:30 I'm not completely sure but I think they send them the lyrics, and a general melody and vibe of the scene, then they send samples back to them for them to check out and when they agree to go with that artist they end up finishing the song.
Idk much about guitars and the different expensive ones but I know violins and those super duper pricey ones do sound so much better.
A Stradivarius like Ray has and plays is made my the maker Stradivarius and there’s only a few that are left which is why they’re so expensive but they’re fucking boss and sound so damn good.
I also love "Goodbye" by Ramsey. Have you heard the cover of "Dear friend across the river" feat. Rachel Hardy? It's great in sort of the same way. Link below:

The box that guy was playing is a Peruvian purcussion piece of furniture called a cajon, and has a very dark but interesting history behind it.

A little late to the game, but I just want to say, violin may be different than guitar. Having heard quite a couple vintage violins played before, there is a reason why they are the price they are. Vintage violin is difficult to maintain and hella hard to tune, but the sound it comes out is much richer than the regular ones. It really makes a difference. When I first watch this documentary, before Christian introduced his Stradivarius violin, I can already hear and knew it's a vintage. Also most of the musicians can't afford that kind of violins, those are being loaned to them by collectors. That said, though uncommon, I do know somebody who own their vintage, though not as famous and rare as Stradivarius.

12:30 Hella late to the game (Season 2 in 2 months!), but the thing with Stradivarius violins is that the maker of the instruments, Antonio Stradivari, died without leaving behind any documentation on how to make the violins, so all surviving Strad violins (around 650 examples according to Wikipedia) are original pieces from the late 1600s and early 1700s, and we have no knowledge on how to create violins that could reproduce that same sound quality of a Strad.
Yes, you don't need Slash's Gibson Les Paul from the November Rain music video (which was Joe Perry's before Slash bought it) to play the November Rain solo, maybe you don't even need a Gibson Les Paul Standard for $3000, an Epiphone will do the job for $1000, especially in a wild, stage environment, but the musicians have no way to recreate the sound of a Stradivarius without actually using an original Stradivarius. That's why renowned violinists, like Ray, have no other choice, but to (probably) rent one, I doubt he owns that.
