Okay let me get this straight. I go to Delaware State University. This school is a good institution yes but, do they try to help there students finically no. Let me emphasize the NO. I have a 3.9 GPA. I am a sophomore. I have gotten 1 B in my entire college career the rest are straight A's. I am also on the track of graduating early so technically I will be a junior in the spring semester. I RECEIVED NOT ONE SCHOLARSHIP FROM DELAWARE STATE. But I did get all the loans to cover the cost. LOANS NOT SCHOLARSHIP.
Lets be mindful that all athletics even with 2.5 GPA's some even lower are going to school for free while I am a hard working student putting myself in dept.
As a HBCU I think they need to work on change and praising their African American students when they obtain good grades and are above average instead of giving money to African Americans for their physical ability. This was always consisting throughout history. Colored people were always praised for sport more than academics. SOMETHINGS NEED TO CHANGE!
