@@germanbmw1001 Hi, as advised in the video, the free version does wipe out your previous service history on the iDrive, unless you pay over £1000 for the professional version of the siftware. Write down and/or take photos of all your previous service history on your iDrive, as you will be required to re-write all the details back into the iDrive, then your latest service on the car. I asked this question to the garage that did my last service and they said they don't have access to do what you say in the video, reckon only BMW can update the service digitally with specialized software - crazy right?
Nice, but typically on OEM services the microfilter also will be replaced with each oil service. If the car ever goes to BMW and gets connected to ISTA+/AIR online, your offline service history will be removed and thus not be visible anymore. By the way, this car did 400km in 1 year?

Hi, In the HU-SHM app, it asks for the KM at time of service per service. In my country, we use miles. Do I just enter the mile value, or do I need to enter it in KM, and my car will auto convert?
Keep on trying; maybe try a different sequence. To, for instance, first connect the cable with the laptop and then to the car. Or first turn on the ignition and then the laptop
I don't know actually; perhaps try both? If it appears to automatically convert your input into miles, then good. Otherwise, manually calculate what it would be in km!

@@TheHunterHofman for sure!
Hi just done this on my 2017 BMW F20 1 Series. It removed the service history menu in the iDrive - have you got any solution for this please?
@@riazwaqas1088 as said in the video, it removes the old service history and uploads the newly inputted service history. If it doesn’t show, the maybe try again? Just carefully follow the steps in the video.
Are you able to change rhe units on the software , so i can put miles instead of km ?
I don’t know to be honest. I do know, however, that the car translates the input to its own language (so everything I entered into the program was in English, but the car is in Dutch). As your car may display miles, it may ‘translate’ kilometres to miles.
Did you have any luck? In the same predicament
Hi, does this update on BMW AOS aswell?
No, it does not :)
Hi mate try this on my 330e 2018 but the I add the old service and the new one but apparently erase the service history record and and the service menu is not showing on idrive as well. Can please help. Thanks
Perhaps because it’s a different iDrive system? It does indeed remove the old service history and overwrites it with the newly entered service history. If your service history was done by a BMW garage/dealership, then they can input the actual service history again. Does it show the exact same images as in my video? It does detect the car for instance?
@@TheHunterHofman yes it detects the idrive but when i check it the service menu was no thier
Luckily I write down the details of my old service
Hi,
In the HU-SHM app, it asks for the KM at time of service per service.
In my country, we use miles. Do I just enter the mile value, or do I need to enter it in KM, and my car will auto convert?
I have done everything as instructed but I have connection error when trying to write to a car. Any idea why?
Keep on trying; maybe try a different sequence. To, for instance, first connect the cable with the laptop and then to the car. Or first turn on the ignition and then the laptop
How do you calculate from miles to kmph as mines is in miles 🤔
I don't know actually; perhaps try both? If it appears to automatically convert your input into miles, then good. Otherwise, manually calculate what it would be in km!
Will this work on an F30 (Nov 2015 Model)?
Yes
Does it work with F models starting from 2018?
Yes
Can you view the previous service history, I am a new owner?
Hi mate, congrats on the m2. I can see the previous service history, yes. As long as you manually enter it yourself (as seen in the video).
If possible can you guide me
is the Bmw service history manager available for macOS?
This software is not, no.
What software do I need to use any help appreciated
Check the description mate and consider subscribing, thanks
Hi so where can i get this program and is it easy to install
Check the description mate ;)
Will this work on the iDrive 6 headunit?
Not sure, to be honest. Don't see why it wouldn't though.
Die ga ik proberen ! Bovenste link voor het programma ?
Klopt inderdaad, succes ermee!

Heyy vraagje man!
The language of my car is Dutch. The software is indeed in English but will adjust accordingly to the language of the car. If your car is Spanish, it will be reflected in Spanish (even though the software is in English).
Will this work with MHD Wi-Fi adaptor ?
No buddy
Hi Hunter , do you know if with this application can i erase or delete the previous history of car?
@@MotoERK yes, you can delete it. As a matter of fact, it does it either way. When you input your own history of the car, it overwrites (and thus deletes) the old history of the car. Hope that helps and please consider leaving a like and subscribe!
@ thx very much man . I will ❤️
@ do you know if it works on bmw g30 2018? I think is same navigation

@@MotoERK I’m not too sure actually man. I know it works on the F-Series, not sure about the G-series

Check the link in the description mate.
Once I hit “detect” in the write to car section it isn’t detecting the car? Anyone know what I’m doing wrong? I have enet cable connected and ignition on
Yeah just keep trying, I had that before once, maybe try different sequences. First ignition, then connecting cable, or vice versa.
I have the same issue. Did you get it working?
@@wthewb5187 basically what he said, it just eventually worked. Nothing specific if I remember right just keep trying it
Quisiera preguntar ….
It writes the word "date" in the language the car is set up with! If your car is set up in Spanish, it will write "date" in Spanish
Will this work on my F2O 2012?
I know it works on iDrive 6.0 (which my car has), I’m not sure if it would work for your car too. Maybe give it a try?
What would happen if you put BMW dealer instead of idenpendant?
Your car would literally explode
No, I don’t know to be honest
Hi, I did the same thing than you but all my history service got deleted ! I don't really understand why since I did the same manipulations than you. And I really cba to go to bmw to restaure everything. Could you help me ? Cheers
Same here. Completely gone from idrive menu. Any ideas?
@@thisall4real Don't use that kind of programms. Most of them aren't working. Now, i'm just gonna go to bmw dealer to do maintenance rather pay more than getting fucked everytime there is a maintenance to do
@Oratz47 I do all my own servicing, tho. Be handy to update idrive myself. Going to try another program. If not ill just keep a paper record. Not paying bmw 400quid when i can get all parts for 120. Only takes 1hr.
Do you need any other software on your pc for this to work?
No, just this. Note that there is also a paid version of this software.
@@TheHunterHofman thanks mate 👍
Wait, this will delete all the old service history records? Can it only add new one without deleting everything?
The paid version is able to not delete the old history. The free version is not.
My link is opening a pdf manual?
Why is the input in kilometers and not miles?
I don't know actually, I do know that the car translates it to miles if you input the km. So if you put in 100.000 km, it will translate it to 62.137 miles
Is there a code for dealer service records?
Dealers have their own codes. I just used 00000 as I did it myself and am not a dealer
How much is the paid version ?
Dunno lol, doesn’t website say?
Have you checked the description? Please consider subscribing too, it really helps me out :)
dank u@@TheHunterHofman
Does it have to be Ethernet? Can it be usb?
Ethernet, you can buy the cable via the link in the description!
Nice job! Can be more explicit about the cable and the program that you are using? I have changed my brakes and the car has connected drive,I hope it works. Thank you
Thanks. So this is a free software that can be used to update the service history of your car, it will delete the old service history hence why you have to manually include the complete history of your car. The cable connects your laptop (with ethernet connection) to the car via the OBD port, the cable can be found in the link of the description. In one of my other video’s I also updated the service history regarding brake fluid. Maybe consider subscribing? Would help me out :), thanks
U need to get a bmw Esys cable with software an a laptop
what do i do if it shows network is unavailable when i press detect?
Check if your cable is properly inserted in the obd2 port. Also check if your ignition is on.
@@TheHunterHofmanit is properly inserted. Ignition is on but the engine is off, it is a 2013 BMW F30 328i, I havent found the solution to it yet, i did use a LAN to USB adapter as my laptop doesnt have a LAN port, will that cause an issue?
Why did you add all thw history into that software qhen it was already on the idrive? Dont you just need to ads on your oil change?
@@pickelrick6377 because it deletes everything when rewriting. So you have to fill out everything in order to have it all included in the service history
@@TheHunterHofman AHH ok I get you. Does this present any issues when you eventually take it to BMW. For example I want to do brake pads service myself. But I will still take it to BMW for main service.
