People ignore this part. PLEASE DON'T SKIP THE MAJOR AND MINOR SCALES! Please practice the shit out of it until you know it on instinct. It will help you in the long run.
Ahahha this video about music theory, not practicing any piano finger shapes
@@skreli1 it's still important man. Because I'm one of those people who bought a keyboard and just skip the scales like a dumbass.
@@Joshua_Cartus does finger shapes change for some many black keys scale or all scales are 3+5 on right hand?(or 3+4 and thumb on the 1 note and repeat)
why is it important? i don't understand.
@@pendoravo417 scales are important because it's the basis of making a melody and chords. Once you learn the pattern of a major or minor scales, it becomes easier to play anything you want. You have total freedom when it comes to music and will gain better understanding. You can play any key that you want. I always thought when I was a beginner, that there's only one method to play that one song that I love or it's just the same key over and over. I was blown away when I can play that one song to Fmaj key or Amaj.
Major: “ahh that’s nice”
Minor: *spooky castle*
It's not a trick, it's technically the definition of major and minor chords. Nice video btw
I'm HIP!!! I was expecting some kind of hand trick or something. But he's just explaining...
@@sonny.9998It's still really useful :V
Its very useful for us 🤦
YA BUT YOU SEE OTHER CHANEL THEY CONFUSE YOU B SPREADING ALL THE FINGERS ON KEY BOARD AND WE THINK THAT IS SOME MAGIC . HERE HE REVEALED THE FORMULA .
@@jkj1459 I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience with scammers lol
That was literally helpful ..can you also teach us how to remember chords and scales name as there are too many minor and major ... please share with us if you have any trick
Learn the names of all notes (black and white keys).
whatever note you started the formula on will be that major or minor chord.
If you start a major formula on G, it’s G major.
@@alexonpiano8468 yeah I know everyone notes ..and wowow I'll try using that method ..Thanks
@@alexonpiano8468 I don’t think this applies to inverted chords
@@butwhatif2489 an inverted Chord is a chord that has the same 3 notes but arranged differently, at least on a piano anyways. Take C major chord for example, it has (C-E-G). The first inverter chord of that what be (E-G-C), the second inverted chord of that would be (G-C-E). You can basically play any of those notes together, it will still sounds the same. This helps with switching chord easier on a piano. I’m not sure about a guitar. But if @Alex On Piano is talking about the scale, also the root note of a non inverted chord is also correct. This is my understanding of it. I’m not a musician or anything.
Look up Nathaniel school of music, he teach about all that and it make learning piano easier. Good luck
@@MorhaMaek Sure it only works for root position chords. I guess from there you could start rearranging the notes in whichever order you please. The method at least works to find the notes of the chord.
(This is not really something I use by the way, it was just a tip that technically WOULD work. I just know the scales and the diatonic chords that correspond.)
Have a good one👍🏼
Been playing for many years. Didnt know this concept. Your the GOAT!
Total beginner here,so this sounds very helpful.
To go from major to minor.....just flatten the third note in the major.
I’m a beginner too. I’m loving these tutorials.
You think they know how flatten? Lol theyre just learning shapes at this point@@tommiesmith3191
You make these so simple and I love it
I don't play piano often, mostly just to assist in my singing, but I never knew this and I'm very grateful.
I’ve decided to pick up and learn a new instrument this year (I can play the drums, guitar and bass) and chose the piano/keyboard!! I’m so excited to get my first one!! Thank you for sharing this lesson/trick!! 👏🏼
YES YOU ADD BUT DONT SCRAP IT AFTER SOMETIME .
I used to use this a lot, but I eventually learned that it's actually far faster to just count in thirds of the scale while accounting for accidentals, despite taking far more effort up front to understand.
Very useful for an electric guitarist who likes to learn basic piano chords quickly. Thanks a lot!!!
What?! You've saved me so much time! Thanks!
