Dude I know I’m late on this, but I’m an old nascar fan that grew up on the old nascar games.. and I don’t really know much about cars in general. Since I heard about the new game coming out in 2025 I’ve decided to play again and learn about the cars. Soo just wanted to say your my choice to learn. THANK YOU YOUR A LEGEND!!
Brian, I want to say, its great what you do for us. I have been using your setups as a template to find the custom setup perfect for me at all the tracks you have had videos for, and i can guess that I am not the only one grateful for that. Thank you very much for the time and energy you put it for us. Look forward to watching all future setup videos as well. Quick question if you have a moment, NH3 had either stability help ON or OFF where now, nh4, you can fine tune and adjust which i think is great. In your setups for NH4, are you using no stability help with the aides turned off? Im assuming that would be the best for me to adapt to nh4 as i am used to running no stability help and custom setups always in nh3. Just trying to figure out where i s hi ould have the aides when working w custom setups. My only problem (which is a good one i suppose as the tire wear physics are actually realistic now), is that i am killing my right front almost immediately. Idk if i should be running some kind of aides to combat this. Are your nh4 setups on expert with no aides? Sorry such a long comment/question but i greatly appreciate your advice with the nascar heat franchise and look forward to your response. Thanks man!
Thanks Matthew. I do not run any driving aids in NH4. I tested them in NH3 just out of curiosity and was not a fan. The main thing I do not like is when the computer tries to steer the car for me. On the other hand, aids like Anti-Lock Brakes/Braking help (can't remember what its called in game) can be a useful tool if you are having allot of trouble locking up tires on a controller or your brake pedal is worn out. Try out one of the driving aids that fits what you need help with and see if it helps without ruining the fun. If it enhancing your experience then I say go for it. You can always start with just a low amount in the "Custom" settings and go from there.
take a LOAD of the camber off, i took around 3 degrees off and upped wedge a tad in the race. Not sure why he'd add so much camber, it (at least in sims, and other games) lowers straight line speed.
Thank you for the setup. I’m about to try it out. I wish there was somewhere I could read and learn how to do this myself. I know it’s trial and error but I have no idea what I’m doing.
That's understandable. That's why I showed you the max settings I have raced and then talk about other settings I've also used that worked well. Max camber is fast but can wear the tires fast if it makes you loose. Same goes for the tire pressures for this type of track.
Yung GooseJuice same exact thing here. And the car is wayyyy to loose. You make a quick move to go around someone with a run and the car snaps loose. 👎
What mode is this set up found in the garage on ps4? Its not there in career or quick race. Edit: I figured it out. In race settings under driving make sure driving aids is set to anything but easy and normal. Hope this helps somebody anybody cause I was gettin P Od lol.
So I'm just putting this out there I have tried this set up for the time being that it's one out there. However by chance what's your true recommended gear ratio for the trucks just wondering
I notice this too...i always run between 25 and 50% race length in cup w 4x wear just so there is a similar ratio on the amoint of pit stops to a full race length.....never jad the bnb issie in nh3 but noticed right away that my right front can literally disintegrate in just one turn on some tracks....
What can is do to get my car to handle better in the draft. My car want to go right when I bump draft, when I get in the corner and when I am pushed in the corner? Any suggestions
Finally something that works for trucks thank u man helped out a lot. Now if I could just find someone that could maybe sell me some skill i may be half decent at this game 😂
Thanks for that setup. I just won a truck race on pit strategy at hard yeah. Everybody pitted with 2 laps to go. When the white flag dropped I was alone lapping everyone coming off pit road. That was fun and lucky because my RF was about to pop. :D
It doesn't for me at Daytona but if it does for you then of course lower them to a more comfortable level. For this video I showed the max setting that worked well for me but also talked about adjustments to fit your needs.
Just won the Daytona 500 with a 4 star car on expert difficulty in career mode with these tips. A lot of it was good drafting, just like you said, but qualified 9th, which minimized my chances to make mistakes. Thanks man!
Just wondering. When it says in the title....Setup for "(Cup, Xfinity and Trucks)" does this mean the setup can be used for both cars and trucks?...It doesn't matter?
Yes. A few tracks are like this. Makes it so easy to setup and run fast. I've used this on all 3 with success. I just reduce track bar a tad and camber to 2.5 or 3 (less if I screw up quali as I'll have to push harder). I keep camber even.
Thank you so much for this video I gotten in my time 44.284 and my highest speed was 214mph. I do have a question my car will run great but then all of the sudden it will go tight how do I fix it?
Wayyyy too loose and unstable. If you pull out to pass too quickly on a run the ass end snaps out on you. Good straight line speed, but you need a little stability for making hasty moves in the pack. Ran a 46.1 in qualifying and started 40th with a good smooth lap, I thought anyways. 👎
Hey bud I have a question... sometimes when I click on a multi player race..it says I need to go to a website to qualify...I went and linked my account to my Microsoft account...but I'm still wandering what that's all about..thanx,Hager (SgtPsycho9mm)
Go to quick race. Choose your track. In garage hit X or the indicated button in the top right of the screen. That will take you to setups. then scroll down to custom race/or qualify and hit X again to open the setups options. Hope this helps.
I used this setup for the truck series as is... burnt right tires up. Top speed 188, practice lap 48.963. Changed the rear spring, camber, race at 25% top speed 189 no draft, 191 with draft, practice lap 48.534. That’s it for now. Thanks for the initial setup, appreciate it.
You stated that you run more front weight if its loose and i found this too with experimentation. My question is- "isnt that backwards from real life?" If my car is loose then my theory is i should be adding rear weight cuz weight is traction. YOUR THOUGHTS?
Good setup. I like how u gave an explanation on how to make it tighter or more loose as well. I used your set up and made a couple changes for how i wanted it to feel. I like my car a bit tighter on the super speedways as i use a controller. So i changed my right rear spring to 450lbs. And the right track bar down to 11.25. Ran a 44.774 in 4 star equipment cuz i drive the 8 car for RCR. So this not being 5 star equipment really impressed me and helped alot. Thanks bud
All of your setups have been great but I run 50% races and the right front on this one doesn’t even last one stage which killed my pit strategy. Back to the drawing board KNEE!
Won with this set up in first truck start, qualified top 25 (career) won in First Xfinity start (career) qualified 15th, ran the right front flat with 60 rr, high 80 or left sides but adjusted rear shocks and wedge, other than that I'm happy!
Hey! I’m a nascar Whalen all American series Late Model driver I’ve been using your setups for the past few games, I’d love to work with you on data testing on the game and applying some real theories to setups and you help me out if you can! Send me a response if you are interested I want to be better at the game! Thank you for all you do!
Great info as usual, thank you. Big question, the car setup option does not come up for me when I start a quick race. Can't seem to find it anywhere in the game options as well. I have the XBOX version. thx
Any tips on getting some better speeds? I'm down to the floorboards all the way round with a truck that has a 100 engine 95 aero and 90 suspension and cant even qualify in the top 25. I'm almost an entire second off the the pole. I dont get it.
Anyone else have tons of issues with restarts in this game? I shoot to the back every green flag then easily coast to the front after 3 laps. I quit playing recently because the races felt absolutely awful. I raced a whole season of this shit not happening before
i have watched you videos cool , but I have one problem and that is my game doesn't give me the option of car setup like what I have seen on your video's . need help Please
Try taking the camber down to 5 on each side instead of 8. I also lower my track bar down to 11.25 and my right rear spring down to 450lbs. Made it much tighter and stable for me. I put my tape at 55

True but keep in mind that we're talking about Daytona which is not known for tire wear anyway and this is a Q type setup to get speed and then let you adjust for what you need on a long run. At this point, this is the only track where I run max camber so I do think it's better this year because of the tire wear overall.
Well maybe you can help me out I've run the same exact setup you show in all three of the top series and no matter what all the rest of the cars just leave me in the dust
You running any assists? They wil slow you considerably if you are. Are you using the line smoothly too? Not so easy with a controller but reducing the track bar a little and camber will help. Hope thats helpful. Ps if you run assists try practice using then pit. Switch all off and run again. You'll see the difference. Its an easy track to run assist free as its good on traction. Nascar heat 4 had to have updated the racing after this video, I burned the right front off in 6 laps
This setup is physically impossible to drive with a controller in Xfinity
take a LOAD of the camber off, i took around 3 degrees off and upped wedge a tad in the race. Not sure why he'd add so much camber, it (at least in sims, and other games) lowers straight line speed.
@@thepaisleyproject thanks I'll give it a try later
MrWillyP what do you make your LF camber and your RF camber ?
Gooby Boy I would like to know also
MrWillyP can u tell what u do for left and right camber?
I race 25% length with 2x tire and fuel, the RF tire will not last a full fuel run with this RF camber, I had to lower to 6 to get tire to last.
I race 100% 1x and the tires barley lasted 20 laps no cuations
Thank you for the setup. I’m about to try it out. I wish there was somewhere I could read and learn how to do this myself. I know it’s trial and error but I have no idea what I’m doing.
love your setups! used as many as I could in heat 2 and 3! keep up the fine work my dude!!
Why the hell am i getting average 45.9 in a Penske cup car
If I wanted to do a setup for Daytona for each series, would I have to keep going into each series and change the setup?
Short answer Yes. Each Division in the game requires you to save a set in it's garage to have a custom setup for that track. Hope this helps!
I had to bring my camber back to default. Just felt way too loose in the turns.
That's understandable. That's why I showed you the max settings I have raced and then talk about other settings I've also used that worked well. Max camber is fast but can wear the tires fast if it makes you loose. Same goes for the tire pressures for this type of track.
DannyBTalks I agree with u try take track bar it not the camber it track bar
Lowering the track bar is a very effective way to stabilize the car.
Knee Pit Gaming well it make it better lol
Man Danny B you're a legend!
Thing isn’t working, I go on the gas consistently turns me right, right into the wall.
Hey your setup burns the tires right off on one side

the max camber, 4x on a long run doesn't work. The wear seems to be on an exponential curve.
I notice this too...i always run between 25 and 50% race length in cup w 4x wear just so there is a similar ratio on the amoint of pit stops to a full race length.....never jad the bnb issie in nh3 but noticed right away that my right front can literally disintegrate in just one turn on some tracks....
No argument here. This is the only track where I even approach max camber.
@@KneePitGaming i always use your setups but your RF camber setups here quickly destroys tires.

Is there a way to disable the need for car setups, it's on every race of the championship now and I can't find where to disable it?
Thanks for that setup. I just won a truck race on pit strategy at hard yeah. Everybody pitted with 2 laps to go. When the white flag dropped I was alone lapping everyone coming off pit road. That was fun and lucky because my RF was about to pop. :D
8 degrees of camber will burn the tires up in one turn now, this is not good
It doesn't for me at Daytona but if it does for you then of course lower them to a more comfortable level. For this video I showed the max setting that worked well for me but also talked about adjustments to fit your needs.
my right front blows on this. all my tires will be at 70% but my right front is blowing

How in the world did you get that time
I was in the very back of the packed and had a lot of speed coming from behind on the back straight way
Brandon Bellamy how did you get the car that fast? Mine maxes out at 197
I follow the whole setup on the video
Brandon Bellamy weird, I can only get up to 197 on the back straight and about 193-4 through the turns and run about 46.5s
I just subscribed to your channel
it does not work for xfinity and truuk
Fastest I have gotten so far with this is 47.079 with controller on qualifying
I ran a 46.1 on a controller. For me his setup is a little too loose on exit. Bumped up the wedge a little and was perfect for me.
This was useless with the Truck Series.
Awesome video. I will definitely try this setup.
Does it work for the trucks as well
Im stil way off the pacem

Sure. As I talk about in the video, there are a number of ways to tighten the car.
- Reduce camber
- Reduce rear springs
- Lower trackbar

Sounds like you need to fiddle with the gear setting if you're not gaining speed at a good rate
Do you use Stability Assistance?
Lower your cambers and its good
I did this any my car overheats.
From my testing (trucks and NXS) I have seen that I gained a bit more speed. 5-8 mph average.

In xfinity after 10 laps my front right is 50% worn how do I slow tyre wear it won’t survive a fuel run
Try taking the camber down to 5 on each side instead of 8. I also lower my track bar down to 11.25 and my right rear spring down to 450lbs. Made it much tighter and stable for me. I put my tape at 55
