I'm very happy 😄that you liked the team. The EVs that are in the rental are not the same as those in the original paste, but it will be something that I will explain in my team report video. However, the explanation you gave of some calculations are correct and there are others that I will soon reveal.
@@phenomenonnarutokun Aaron is famous for making it to Top 4 in I believe the 2013 World Championship and missing Will-O-Wisp from his Wash Rotom like 3x in a row that absolutely cost him the match and from advancing into the Finals. He jokes about it now so I’m sure he’s moved on from it, but at the time I’m sure it was quite devastating
Been watching for a couple years and finally went to my first Local tourney today, thanks to you! I couldn’t have done it without the hours of education you give to all us through the channel. Your analysis has been motivating! Thank you Aaron! Maybe one day I will get to play against my GOAT at a regional!
It's always a good day when Aaron 'Cybertron' Zheng climbs the online regulation G VGC ladder in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and provides live commentary as he goes
Thank you for putting the Tournament VOD link in your description. I had a lot of fun casting it and having the opportunity to stream it live thanks to The Pokémon Company Int. If you need anything, feel free to let me know. Thanks!!😊
I actually just got to Masters after 2 years of not playing VGC with a Koraidon team I made myself! Seeing you pilot that Kyogre team a while back inspired me to get back into VGC!
Thanks for the great content! Coming from the TCG to now trying to get competitive in VGC your videos are a massive help toward developing a great mindset of playing. Keep it up 👍
I'm amazed by how you play so calm. Even in the teambuilding process I'm so nervous thinking: I should have a check for this, and this, and this, and that... And so on
We are everywhere indeed also Kenepa is my leader of the team I am so i am very happy that he won the special event. I was there but got 2-4 fricking Lunala 😂 i didnt made a serious tourmament
I don’t why but it’s really exciting that the two new legendaries can both win tournaments and not be op. Seems like they did well balancing this time around.
It balances well, Koraidon has the weaker typing defensively (better typing offensively though) and it has the better ability that enables better teammates (& the better signature move imo). Miraidon is a special attacker so it has the advantage in that department, and the better defensive typing without a 4x weakness, the one drawback is that it isn’t hitting everything super effectively either. Its ability is worse imo because it doesn’t really empower other good pokemon that can use it in any meaningful way.
Kind of interesting to see this take from a Singles perspective, but it wouldn't exactly be the first time that mons are not nearly as busted in doubles setting (Mega-Rayquaza been the prime example). Kinda feel that Koraidon isn't explored enough tho and will get more powerful as time goes on.
Gholdengo really really has such an interesting place in the meta filling these specific niches so well despite competing with so many Ghost type monsters in the format. Being able to set up in front of Amoongus never goes out of style
Hey Cybertron, you probably forgot, but @35:40 Hydro Steam is boosted by x1.5 in the sun so it would've been stronger. You made the better decision anyway.
Yeah it’s tough; you essentially NEED to deny trick room I think imprison farigiraf is the play in this meta honestly; Caly-Ice is one of the few terms that I feel like just CAN’T lose once it gets trick room up
@@xmangle5382 yeah tera gives any mon with halfway decent bulk one extra turn and caly ice is probably the best mon that could capitalize from that one turn between getting KOs, setting up TR, or just start and chip (or maybe even chunk) away at opposing HP pools
Aaron, I've been watching you for a while and love your content...but I've never rooted against you harder than when you played that Mewtwo team. That player won my heart at team preview.
wow this is kind of cool to know that i've built basically the same team a few days ago, i guess it means i'm team building in the right direction, i just got whim over torn and flutter over dhengo, now i'm even more hyped looking forward to experiment some more with the team!
QOTD: Definitely both Calyrex's. Honestly i feel they're too centralizing and restricting when team building because if you don't specifically build with countering them in mind the match ups feel really lopsided. If their signature moves were nerfed to be 80% accurate, like Precipice Blades and Origin Pulse, i feel they'd be much better balanced and it would give other restricteds a better chance at being useful.
I've been running nearly this exact team with Farig over Gholdengo. It's great not getting shut down by priority, great into Caly, can reverse trick room or set it up if I'm getting out out sped.

Re point on walking wake damage: I run a very similar ev spread but with choice specs which has helped pick up those ko’s he barely missed out on before with the life orb
I am curious, is there a reason wake runs flamethrower over weather ball on the team? Is it just that flamethrower is more consistently a fire type move?
I am not sure if you'll see this in time but I was wondering if someone can explain something for me. I am going to the LA regionals and noticed that the event is 24th-26th. If the torney proper starts on the 25th what is happening on the 24th? Is it the registration or are there other things to do while there and that first day is a sort of free day? I have never been to a regional so I have no clue.
QOTD: Scarf Kyogre is very hard for me to play against, especially with proper support. If you want to counter with your own tailwind, my opponent could bring Tornadus and outpace, but if I want to stop it with priority, they could lead farigiraf. And then kyogre uses water spout and do 70% to bulky resists, even behind screens
I noticed that on showdown, everything had missing EVs, are there any specific stats that need the last 1-2 points to hit certain ranges or can we just dump them into attack?
Hi, the answer is because I built the team in game the night before the tournament😂and I didn't have enough items to make it as the paste. Thats why you will see some pokémons with less EVs. Also, you can Notice my koraidon's Collision Course only has 5 PP 😅.
Yeah Koraidon + Miraidon have good synergy offensively and so does Koraidon + Calyrex-Shadow or even Koraidon + Zacian. Miraidon probably also gets better.
Wonder how Game 6 would have gone if you'd have Knock Off'd into Indeedee again Side note: Never thought I'd hear "Zacian doesn't have enough firepower here" with Aaron staring down a +4 Atk Zacian
