@@SCARawpeople are still talking about that raichu? You understand that even a perfect Pokémon is worthless if you don’t know how to use it right? The only edge that thing gave him is that it had unique utility to help his team counter the meta. I started playing VGC in 2015 when i was 17, but didnt have the same knack for it and stopped a year later, preferring solo challenges like nuzlockes. Its always crazy for me to think that if i had committed to it harder i couldve had the chance to be stomped by Wolfey on his way up to the top. I was an early subscriber of his and have always loved his content.

With Wolfe and Aaron, I've gotten a huge appreciation for VGC. As a big fan of Poketubers and Pokemon in general for the majority of my life, the last 3 years has been my spike in VGC love and fall of Singles love
He has the most pokemon back story ever Kid Just recently gets into battling wins his first tournament Then advancing his second winning then at the end of his story he lost then getting better After
There's only one thing missing, understandably so since it's about Wolfey: - Wolfey triggered an interest to pokemon tech & meta through the competitive lense. - Jaiden and pChal an interest to pokemon tech & meta through the nuzlock lense. It was really at the junction of both the casual and the competitive sphere that enable those to meet. The wholesome part is that everybody wins: Viewers, players, modders, youtubers, youtubists, VGC, casual, youtube & pokemon.
I love this man so much. Dude is an absolute treasure. One day I'll find a way to get to master ball rank with shuckle. He's shown me team-building can make almost anything viable in the right format
I really love Wolfey. I found him during the Sword and Shield VGC times, when he reshaped his challenge. He's a really astonishing person in generell. I really enjoyed his Scarlet and Violet Videos and I wait for the Elite 4 in reallife Video. I wish Wolfe good luck for hopefully winning next year worlds...again.
I'm just so proud of how far Wolfe has come with his content. I've been subbed to him since 2016 and have consistently been a fan of his videos. It has been amazing watching him go from unedited videos where he just rambled while making tier lists (still very enjoyable) to branching out and collaborating with other creators, and then completely overhauling his content into refined, highly edited, and ambitious projects. He's a competitive and highly technical person, yet at the same time he never takes himself too seriously and isn't afraid to just have fun with things, and I've always enjoyed that about him.
I didn't follow VGC at the time, I was way more into smogon singles, but I remember that swords dance. It's when I started looking at VGC more seriously.
I owe it all to Wolfe. he's the reason I started playing VGC, and the reason I still do. Truly the best Pokemon player in the world. The fact that he got eliminated day 1 of Worlds due to his team being leaked right before NAIC (therefore making Wolfe very inexperienced with his Worlds team) has gotta be one of the saddest things in pokemon history. @qwilliams1539 the main person that says Wolfeboro is cheating is verlisify and everything I've heard about him makes him out to be someone who just wants to cause drama cause he isn't good at the game. Learn to avoid the drama channels
@Xloyamolina I agree with you on that. He just stirs up drama for ragebait views and treats people like shit. But, he is right that Wolfe cheated. Ain't no argument against that.
such a great video!! gonna rewatch it every so often
Wolfe glick doesn’t follow the meta.
He is the meta.
The ending gave me the chills, ngl. Great video.
I appreciate that, kind commenter 🫡
Thanks for taking the time to watch it so long after it was uploaded
@pokezach494_ Thank you for the awesome video and thank youtube for recommending it. Hope your channel blows up. That was such a good video, and I'd love to see more. Wolfey got me (idk how) to watch cybertron. I'd love to see more videos like this highlighting players and their achievements.
Can't wait for the next video like this highlighting cybertron 👀 lol
it's also notable that to date, Wolfey is the ONLY Worlds winner to win without qualifying for Day 2 of Worlds
Shohei was another Day Two-er, right? This detail is wild
Woah, this video goes hard. Awesome work, you should be proud of this production!
Bruh I didn't even realise you only have 500 subs WTH, this is sick stuff bro keep it up
Haha thank you man!
I haven’t played Pokémon in forever…this video makes me want to play again haha. Great vid! Keep it up
Never in my life have I ever played Pokémon vgc or knew anything about Pokémon, looking at it as a children’s game. One day I stumbled upon this UA-camr that went by the name of wolfeyvgc around the sword and shield era. Now I go to sleep watching Pokémon tournaments, I felt in love with the game the culture the community ❤
Awesome video dude! No idea why it's in my recommended, but I'm glad I clicked on it
Ah, yes!
Verlisify's sworn enemy.
I hate that guy. Dudes an absolute prick to everyone that watches his videos and dont know the entire pokemon game and tourney lore. Asking questions on how genning works will get him to call you stupid and ignorant.
Nah cause 184 subs??? This is quality content I had to do a double take that it wasn’t 184k lmao, seriously great video
Haha thank you dude! Hoping to get there someday
beautifully put together, amazing video u def deserve more recognition lol 💜
Thank you so much, I appreciate you!
Just needs to post more but if you can’t put content at least once a week it’s very hard to be recommended on the UA-cam algorithm. But this video was very entertaining 😊
@@lamisha5081 Working on getting into the rhythm of things, more content coming soon!
I had never considered to start playing competitive up until this year, partly because how Wolfie explains competitive Pokémon.
Nice documentary! Very well done :)
This channel is really high quality, keep it up
He was actually my inspiration to Start to getting into competitive pokemon through watching his youtube channel.
Same here! Would not even have made this channel if not for him
@@pokezach494_ Awsome. Btw I love the amount of effort but into the videos.
you know he cheated?
@@SCARawpeople are still talking about that raichu? You understand that even a perfect Pokémon is worthless if you don’t know how to use it right? The only edge that thing gave him is that it had unique utility to help his team counter the meta. Plus, it wasn’t even an offensive mon, so he likely could’ve gotten similar utility with even a 3-4 IV one. Regardless of how he got it, at the end of the day, you can’t hack skill.
Plus unlike publisify, Wolfe has actually done a lot to give back to the community, wtf has your furry god complex done other than paw his own ego?
@@TSfish94yes please tell all the new players that genning is legal and you support it
great video, I have been playing vgc for over a decade and I am really thankful for all wolfey has done for the community and game, along with being a family friendly creator and all around positive guy devoid of controversy. I also respect him for sticking with bad jokes that only he or his friends find funny. He is a great face for the scene, amazing player, glad to have him. Hope to see more influencer tourneys in the future, showing people how much fun you can have, how much you can accomplish, and how much you can learn just by picking up the game and playing it is awesome.
This straight up lile the smash bros documentary, love it dawg thanks for the epic story of our boi
Haha thank you, glad you liked it!!
Genuinely hilarious that Wolfe didn’t win a championship until Ray retired from play
There are some very underrated channels which deserve more views. Yours is definitely one of them.
lmfao all that built up excitement and anxiety all gone when wolfey decided to mess with ms paint hahahaha
2011 Wolfe starts his career, 2011 I was born
amazing video keep it up your the next up and comer you have amazing production
Hey thank you dude! That means a lot!
this is really well made for someone who has below 500 subs (no shitty mic an actual script and pretty decent editing) this is a good video essay on someone who is such a great dude
Verlisify is foaming from his mouth while whatching this vid xD
This was so we'll edited and entertaining to watch, keep it up man!!!!
Thank you!! Will do!
Wolfey reaction vid ASAP! GREAT vídeo, thank you
Haha thanks! Didn’t want to bother him with Worlds and everything going on, but once it’s over I’ll send it over to him, so who knows
Dude this was a nice video essay. I need more content like this
Amazing video man, you did an absolute incredible job at capturing Wolfe's legacy! Someone send this to him!! 😆❤
Thank you! Thinking about sending it to him today!
@@pokezach494_ I'll confidently say do it man, for sure he will appreciate it 💪🏼❤
Damn, i was surprised to see you with less then 1000 subs after such a high quality video. Definitely earned a sub.
Wolfe is the G. Great vid bro
My guy went crazy on this video! Incredible job!
Haha thank you dude!
Can confirm I dabble in VGC now since I randomly found one of his videos.
Great video, edit, love it all. Thanks for shouting such a great champion/guy/UA-camr
Thank you sir, glad you enjoyed!
With Wolfe and Aaron, I've gotten a huge appreciation for VGC. As a big fan of Poketubers and Pokemon in general for the majority of my life, the last 3 years has been my spike in VGC love and fall of Singles love
Never played Pokemon competitive before but WOLF makes me interested in his stories. He’s ascended beyond his game.
He has the most pokemon back story ever Kid Just recently gets into battling wins his first tournament Then advancing his second winning then at the end of his story he lost then getting better After
There's only one thing missing, understandably so since it's about Wolfey:
- Wolfey triggered an interest to pokemon tech & meta through the competitive lense.
Wolfey's story makes it more believable that a random 10 year old can defeat evil teams and become champion in the world of pokemon
Wolfe may be a world champion but as long as he keeps saying jiga drain I won't be coming within 10 ft of actually watching him
Ah man but his Wideos are so good :(
I love this man so much. Dude is an absolute treasure. One day I'll find a way to get to master ball rank with shuckle. He's shown me team-building can make almost anything viable in the right format
what a great video. nice work keep up the great work!
He’s kinda the perfect storm of good entertainment
Literally the World Champ Difference
I really hope Wolfe sees this. Such a brilliant video
Thank you!!
I hope he does as well, all I know is that his editor has seen it but no word from Wolfey himself
@@pokezach494_yea cause he’s a cheater
I didn't follow VGC at the time, I was way more into smogon singles, but I remember that swords dance. It's when I started looking at VGC more seriously.
I owe it all to Wolfe. he's the reason I started playing VGC, and the reason I still do. Truly the best Pokemon player in the world. The fact that he got eliminated day 1 of Worlds due to his team being leaked right before NAIC (therefore making Wolfe very inexperienced with his Worlds team) has gotta be one of the saddest things in pokemon history. Wolfey forever.
very well done video!
Thank you, I appreciate that!
Eyy I’ll forever be the 87th subscriber and I look forward to your growth.
Hey thank you man, I appreciate ya!
I watched this video thinking it was from a popular youtube after watching it i can confidently say ur gonna be there soon😅
Bro 😭
If only you’d seen how my face lit up reading this, thank you for the kind words
What a video about the legend himself. Great video keep up the good work!
