Thank you for watching! Happy Crocheting :) - Навчання та стиль
Literally 5 minutes ago I was trying to think of how to free hand the granny square cardigan into a pullover version! I feel like I manifested this, you’re incredible thank you!
Also I’m using the Caron anniversary cake chunky yarn, should that still work?
Yeah! You can use any yarn
@@huntergibbons1979 I’m doing mine with Bernat velvet - so far loving how plush the thicker yarn looks with the granny stitch
U can't manifest anything.... No one can.
❤🎉❤🎉❤
Your instructions were incredibly clear and repeated at the perfect time throughout your tutorial! I've been trying to find that for years!!! I'm 81y/o and have been crocheting for about 75 of those years. My great aunt started teaching me crochet when I was 6 and I contunued off/on from 14 through 70y/o and almost daily since then. I can't remember ever having such great clarity from anyone during that stretch of years! I am so very amazed at your teaching abilities and I needed to tell that! I normally do not comment on whatever I learn on TV & UA-cam but you are a "had to" teacher. ❤ I was searching for something to make for myself and tripped into your channel today. I subscribed as soon as your tutorial was done and am excited to scroll through the rest of your channel! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!🎉
43 likes and no replies let me change that
I have no idea how these will look on a guy but I got the yarn to make myself one before finding the right tutorial. I can't wait to have this in my wardrobe along with the patchwork granny jacket I'm making!
Have you made it yet? I’m also a male crocheter and want to try to make one for myself, but am unsure of whether it will look good on me! Hope yours turns/turned out great!
@@alpacapancakehi! i’m a crocheter that’s more masculine presenting, (i’m genderfluid) and i think it would look amazing on you! crochet and fiber arts have no gender, you should totally make it for yourself!
@@alpacapancakeHey, I’m a male crocheter and if you use the right yarns it can look pretty good!
Edit: the pullover (this tutorial) looks better on me than kelsie’s cardigan
As a beginner, how you explain these steps really helps me to understand what I’m doing. I have never heard of the stacked single crochet until watching this but I love it!
I live alone and recently started watching your tutorials. Your UA-cam channel led me to your website.
Epic dedication.
Personally, I am 54 and have been crocheting since age 11 and knitting since age 14. The granny square was my first project at 11.
This year, I want to learn to make this sweater because the granny stitch goes so quickly and this looks fun! It's really cool to see you keeping the Boho hippy-ish look Alive and Vibrant. It almost makes me feel young again as a 70's/80's kid.
I appreciate all of your tutorials and your enthusiasm for the Craft.
Low-key jealous of your Yarn Room/Studio.
Kelsie, thank you for the energy and passion you put into what you do! Wishing you continued success.
I'm a bigger girl and was trying to do a cardigan and I've never made one, but all the videos I came across weren't helping me in the steps like I needed. I came across your video and it's easiest the best step by step cardigan video I've found. Thank you so much
About 80% of my project is done, thanks to this wonderful tutorial 💖💖💖💖
i'm literally in the middle of trying to do this and then i saw you made this video so this is pERFECT thank you
Same! Just started it and then I get this notification, perfect timing!!
Haha same!!!!
Literally a crochet angel. I was getting so frustrated with some other tutorials but I feel like you’re so clear about your instructions and so easy to follow!
I saw your insta post of the pullover and started making it a few days ago using your cardigan tutorial. This came at the perfect time!!!! Love you videos!
I JUST started making one of these using your cardigan tutorial (with adjustments of course) but this came at the perfect time!!!!! Thank you so much for the great video!
This makes a great looking sweater and the yarn makes it extra fabulous! Thanks for this great tutorial!
i appreciate you taking the time to make this video :) the editing and simplicity of the instructions is amazing.
Thank you for teaching me the stacked sc! Love love your tutorial ❤
Omg!! So happy to see this!! Can’t wait to make one!! You’re the best with tutorials and I appreciate them so much. Thank you!!!
IM SO EXCITED TO MAKE ONE!! Thank you for making these awesome tutorials 💜
I started this project 3 weeks ago and I'm already halfway through!! Its such a beautiful piece that I'm so exicted to see finished!!
These are the most clear instructions I've seen for the hexagon sweater. Thank you 😊
Amazing, I'm speechless I love the 60's colors. I am gonna make one like yours. Thank you so much for your patience to teach your techniques on how to crotchet. God Bless!!! :)
That is THE BEST tutorial I have ever watched. Thank you so much . Can’t wait to try this! 👍👍👍
saw this and immediately grabbed by blossom cakes from my stash to make this ❤️
i love your work, thanks for making this video!
amazing tutorial 👏🏻 thank you for explaining everything you do so simply and clearly
I’m just about to finish my first granny square cardigan and was hoping to make one like this next. Thank you for explaining it so well!
Hi Kelsie! I am almost finished with this project! I started it a few days ago and it's sooo quick to make! I did make a few changes to the collar and did a row of granny stitch around the whole thing for consistency, making corner clusters at the points. I also used the ends leftover on the collar to sew down that last row at the lowest point and the one in the back center. I'm now doing my final bottom rows! I'm so excited to show it on Instagram. I'll be sure to tag you! Thanks so much!
I have the same yarn as you do but in charcoal and had no idea what to do with it. Now I do 😃 hope I have some free time soon to do it!
What a fantastic tutorial, with brilliantly clear instructions. Really inspired to get hooking. 😀
I love your method of teaching. Very easy to follow and understand. Thank you! ❤
Excellent tutorial. Thank you.💐
What advice would you give to decrease for a ribbing cuffs and bottom, maybe even to make a turtle type neck. Thank you
I've seen that sweater before (love it!!) But I especially LOVE how you handled any confusion in the beginning just to be sure🥰👌🏽
I remember when I was in your lifestream, and then you said I would not be able to see a tutorial and I commented and look at you now. Thank you for posting this.❤
It looks so easy, can’t wait to try making one. Thank you
Just watched the tut, now time to try it out!! Thanks ❤
Very nice and easy pullover. Definitely on my To Do List
Thank you so much! ❤ I'm making one in my favorite color my pink jazzy yarn.
This is the best tutorial for this sweater I have found on UA-cam. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO MAKE THIS. 🎉❤
Thank you for watching!
Thank you. That was awesome. I couldn't figure it out. Now we are rocking it.
Your tutorials are so easy to follow. Made this sweater for my husband using your instructions and it came out perfect. Thank you for sharing. 😅
Your teaching skills are top tier!!! You are apart of a select few out of thousands who post tutorials on UA-cam that actually possess the ability to teach. I appreciate everyone’s efforts, don’t get me wrong, but when you land on a channel where you can learn something it’s a beautiful thing!! Thank you for sharing your gift. 🥰
im in the process of making this now, thank you for an incredible guide!
Came to rewatch your cardigan video to make another and came across this an felt like it was meant to be lol 🥰 can’t wait to see how mine comes out!
Yay! Thank you!
Just done crocheting this top!! Thank you ❤ I love it
I just started a Halloween cardigan a couple of days ago and now im heavily thinking about switching it to this 😂 good timing on both ends
Ahh I was refreshing youtube all morning! So excited to try this out!
Hope you enjoy!
i’ve never encountered another kelsie spelled the same as me, much less one with a hobby in common! very cool, and i look forward to making this pullover once the holidays are over
I am really impressed with your detailed information on how to crochet this. I really believe the thick yarn and the bigger hook helps to see what you are doing as well. You got me starting this again in hopes that I can succeed lol. I will let you know. Thank you honey. I subscribed to follow more stuff.
This is so helpful for a beginner thank you for explaining it so well😊
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I used your video as a general guideline but decided to decrease my sleeves. I'm so excited to wear this out!
You teach very well and have good, clear instructions! Keep it going!
How do you decrease with the clusters?
@@lilawilliams5623 I watched another video to do it.
It's kind of hard to explain. You begin a double crochet in one of the spaces and pull through only two loops. Then you go into the next space and finish the double crochet in there. Then you add another double crochet into the same space to make it a "cluster" of three. Make sure to alternate sides that you decrease so your sleeves are even!
I think it's a pretty normal double crochet decrease so you could probably just look up how to do it.
@@pajci0113 thank you 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
i tried making one of these before the tut came out and…. it pretty much was just a v neck sweater (it’s still really awesome) but i’m so excited to make an actual pullover!
Lol! Just five minutes ago I was wondering if there was a crochet anorak pattern, my grand daughter always wears one......then here you are!!!!!
I so love this !!! Great Job!!! Super cute!!!❤❤❤
Super cute and e planned so well!
Its beautiful and explained well. Thank u
I brought yarn with me to my job just so I could start this on my lunch break 🥳🥳🥳
this is def going to be a matchy matchy home cuddle pullover for my partner and me! love that idea so much!!
Great idea!!
omg same !!
this tutorial was amazing and very helpful. i wish there was another part to maybe add a hood but thank you !
your stitch markers match your yarn perfectly
So cute . looks comfy could work for spring time also
Thank you for this tutorial! I just finished my project. It worked up so quickly, only took me 3 nights of working on it. I left mine a bit more cropped and I love it!
Fantastic!
It’s so great! I want one.
So well explained .thank you love you ❤
Here I am can’t sleep so what do I do?? Pop on UA-cam and find best tutorial ever !! ❤❤❤
This is very pretty!
Very nice, very simple and clearly stated. ❤it.
Thank you 🙏🏽 i will do my first !! From this pattern! ✌🏽🥳
I know I probably say this on every video but I love your style and your patterns and I WILL be making this one too lol
Love this!! I hope you do a video on both hexagon cardigan and a pull over cardigan in ((plus sizes))
Beautiful have made a couple but these instructions will help me make a beter version thank you so much from South Afric
I just screamed out of excitement as I saw the notification pop up 🎉🎉🎉🥳🥳
Great tuto gonna try this
Thank you for easy pattern ❤it! You’re awesome!
Thank you! 😊
100% recommend I am going to make this tomorrow
Yesyesyesyes ive been waiting for this thank you so much
It's beautiful
You can add rows by adding rows to all but the sleeve section of the hexagon. You simply add rows to the front (Where the ribbing will go), the back, and the bottom. It looks nice being added to all at once.
i’m in love with this tutorial! i’m wondering how it would work for me to try your granny square hood on this pattern??
You are a very good teacher!! Thank you for the tutorial!! Do you think adding a hood would be in the same fashion as you do for your other sweaters?
Bellisimo trabajo!!
Do you have a written pattern of this as well??
Can’t wait to watch the full tutorial and make one!! Thank you!
I was waiting this video 😊❤❤❤❤❤
I like the piece you are wearing
Mooie, die ga ik maken🎉 dank je wel voor deze uitleg video.groetjes uit 🇳🇱
Thank you I did it❤
I’m halfway done now! Such a detailed tutorial, thank you😊
Have you tried machine washing this sweater or would you suggest hand washing it instead
I’m here after completing this tutorial and I have to say - WOW I actually made my first sweater and it really wasn’t *that* difficult.
Thank you for an easy to follow tutorial.
For everyone here:
I made mine using bernat velvet, and a 9mm hook.
My thoughts on this choice: the bernat velvet made such a cozy sweater BUT I should have used a smaller hook for sure. I used a 9mm bc it’s what I had on hand, but I think the stitches ended up so stretchy (and with the yarn being so heavy) that it made it difficult to get correct measurements on the front and back panels. I ended up frogging quite a bit of my work.
For heavier yarns, go lower on the hook size to keep the stitches tighter to account for the stretch due to yarn bulk - I’m a newbie so maybe this would be obvious to a more experienced crocheter, but now I know…and if you’re reading this you know too ❤❤❤
Thanks for teaching us this cute pattern kelsie! Can’t wait to make more.
I’m almost done with mine! I started last night, this works up super fast!
Love your tutorial!! I’m not a big fan of the folded collar. How would i do the vneck without the fold?
Just reached the half way mark, ill tag you in a insta pic, thank you for being you
This tutorial is awesome! My dad wants a sweater after he saw my granny square cardigan and I’m almost done! He wants a hood added onto his pullover, do you think I should do that before or after connecting the front?
super cute
Thank you! 😊
Hola, soy Dafne de Perú, sudamérica, me gustan tus videos, gracias por compartir, eres linda 💐🇵🇪
Now to figure out how to add a hood
IK 😭 if not 8 would make it but idk how
Thank you for sharing this pattern - if I wanted to add a hood, would I just continue the "collar" up until it reaches the top of my head, sew together and then tuck in the point? Would that work here?
Another great and easy to follow tutorial, Kelsie. Thank you! I made a hexagon cardigan using your earlier tutorial and I'm blocking it now. Can't wait to wear it. Maybe I missed it, but why did you change to a stacked chain instead of a regular chain when starting a new row? Thanks again!
I tried it out and I ended up liking that method better! It was a personal choice, it’s not better or worse so it doesn’t matter much, just do what you like best!
Is it possible to decrease on the sleeves to bring them in or will that not work well?
heello sis..tq very much share vedio ..me aunti from malaysia...tq tqq..
You are amazing, I’m going to make this for my self, but is Caron yarn light weight when it is done? I have health problems with my shoulders do i have to choose light weight clothes. Thanks
This reminds me of a drug rug! How cute!!
I am curious if there is a way to add a hood to this piece. The neckline construction concerns me for this but I really think a hood would be a wonderful addition!
Super
I just woke up at 3 am and watched someone crochet a whole sweater 😳
