With the help of this video. You nailed every step and location of this exact year and model of my car! From lifting the car, replacement and putting my tools away...less than two hours! Saved me about $300-400 in labor cost! Thank you!
Thank you for the comment. Sounds like a successful repair. I had to do this repair a month ago and could not find a quality video that adequately walked me through the process...thus I created my own.
Great quality of video and position of the work!@@InsaneOil
This is the best auto repair video I’ve ever seen. Hope to be doing this job within a few days.
Thanks for the comment. Long story short...when I was trying to find a video that just showed the location of the starter, I was very disappointed that there were no good videos for this repair. So I made one.
Thank you SO, SO MUCH for all of the time and details that you put in this video! Highlighting everything in green, using the arrows, circles, and even the way you had the arrows pointing up and BEHIND the areas gave me an incredibly clear understanding of what we were looking for and how to get it done! Made me 100% confident in moving forward with this project for myself! Thank you so very much! ❤❤❤❤❤ Also the time lapse at the end and the music let me know we were all done! Thank you again! 😊❤
Thanks for the comment. Good luck with your repair.
It was bad. Why have you changed? How many miles has the car?.
-- I'll give you thumb up, because all your videos are real Gold. Thank you
Thank you for the comment. Yes, the started had failed and required replacement. Mileage was around 110,000 miles at time of replacement.
Outstanding. Thank you!
Thanks for the comment. Good luck with your repair.
اشكرك يا صديقي ❤
مرحباً بك. حظا سعيدا مع الإصلاح.
You think you could replace the starter without getting under the car?
I don't think I would have been able to do everything from on top of the car.
@@InsaneOil thanks
@@ChipperClipper1 You can do it front top. You just need to remove everything and take out the starter completely with all connection then remove connections.
Did you remove it from underneath?
Yes, removal from underneath.
I did the same!
Thanks going to try this out.
@@NaybaMade Thanks for the comment. Good luck with your repair.
Is it still necessary to remove the air box if you have a lift? It appears it was removed and reinstalled all from the bottom.
I think you could probably do it from underneath. The top mounting bolt might be difficult to get to.
I got the same car same year has 205k miles runs decent been maintained I was driving 2 days ago on it was in 5th gear doing 60 then shifted down to 4th same speed and it revved up pretty high almost hit red line at about 6k rpms did it twice just hope no damage was done is that super bad I did that?
It should be alright as long as you didn't run it in the red zone for an extended period of time. When is the last time you changed the transmission fluid?
@@InsaneOil I have no clue it might have been a while how do I even check that on these cars ?
@@troyholland3436 There are a couple different methods to check the fluid. The easiest way is here: ua-cam.com/video/0zvZ3huNzX0/v-deo.html and if the fluid is really brown/black, it is probably very old. The best way is to send in a sample like this: ua-cam.com/video/SF0R7UBt0Eg/v-deo.html
@@InsaneOil so there’s no dip stick to check the level ?
@@InsaneOil there is no transmission dip stick or anything to check the level on mine
