  • Hi Guys,
In this video I will show you how I diagnosed and replaced a bad alternator for most Toyota Vehicle (this Particular Vehicle is a 2012 Toyota Venza).
Here are some tools you will need to make it easier:
    1. Serpentine Belt tool. bit.ly/3PmfFYq
    2. Adjustable joint plier (Channel Lock). bit.ly/3lelusY
    3. Flex head ratchet. bit.ly/3yBeWN2
    4. Clip removal. bit.ly/3weDRo4
    5. Flat head screw driver
    6. 4-6 inch "wobble" extension bar
    7. 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, and 17mm sockets and wrenches
Thanks, hope you enjoy this video.

I just replaced mine last night and I did not have to disconnect radiator hoses, or fan to remove mine. I carefully put a wedge between exhaust manifold and fan to create room and worked well.

This was really helpful. I have a 2013 toyota Venza v6 that am having issues with it turning on. Connect the computer, I got code P0335 that’s my crankshaft position sensor. Couldn’t find a video that will break it down starting from alternator. Thank you

I heard a flapping sound as my Venza was dying. I was almost it was the belt but the noise stopped . The belt was intact, but the car died and wouldn’t start with a charged battery

1- remove the battery. 2-drain radiator coolant from the drain plug at the bottom.

I usually order most of my parts from RockAuto.com they usually carried OEM parts that are cheaper than dealer.

    Radiator removal is completely unnecessary.

Man I needed that serpentine belt tool. That is one compact space. The fan assembly was the worst to get out of on my end. You can also access the serpentine slightly from a bottom side on inside tire well dust guard. Also on the bottom of alternator is a plug catch that holds a wire shroud in place.
