So happy to have this challenge! To be able to zero in on the elongated swirl especially will add so much versatility to my quilting! Thank you as always for all that you do for us free motion perfection wannabees.
I have signed up for my first quilt along..I just got my long arm and I am a newby. Nervous but excited. My birthday is in January so this is my birthday gift to me! Thank you for the encouragement.. Love your videos.
I was undecided on how to quilt my Chandelier until I saw your Dot to Dot videos. It was the perfect way to quilt this. When I taught the class, I was complemented on my quilting. That just doesn’t happen but it has lately. I do have your books and downloads-free and thrifty. I am probably going to order the panel this time because it’s so beautiful.
Angela you are a lifesaver, I am so good at criticizing my work, you always make me feel like I can quilt! I really appreciate you. Thank you for being an influence for good in my world! Thank you!
I have participated in about 7 free-motion challenges. The panels are amazingly helpful in learning the techniques. I have learned so much from Angela. Love the videos!
I love swirls. Your instruction in previous videos has made me a confident quilter. Thank you! I think the rainbow fabrics would make a beautiful cathedral window quilt.
Watching your videos really inspired me to start quilting (loved your Midnight Quilt Show series!). The FMQ step of the quilting process is definitely my achilles heel, so I am so amazed every time I see you do it with such ease. I know I just need to do it and practice more at it. I am excited to try this new challenge. Thanks for all you do for the quilting community.
I have loved everyone of your challenges. Thank you for being so generous with your time and experience. I have learned to free motion quilt from you and am extremely grateful. The fabric bundle is so beautiful! I used to have such a hard time with swirls but with practice, your teaching, tricks and tips and your encouragement, my swirls look so much better. Still need more improvement so I welcome this new challenge and look forward to learning even more to get better! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I'm so excited for this latest challenge. I attempted the swirl chain on my latest quilt, and it got easier the more I used it. I have much more to learn. Thank you for doing these quilting alongs. It is so helpful to practice new designs and motifs.
What have I learned from Angela (paraphrased): "The only thing better than perfect is finished", "don't be so hard on yourself", "when you step back and look at it, you won't see the mistake you're obsessing over", " if you make a mistake just keep going, quilt all around it, and only you will probably know it's there", "people will notice an empty space faster than a mistake", "we're going to get you through the SEA OF SUCK"( I think I love this one the most). Thanks Angela, you've really been an inspiration to me. I reference your videos almost every time I'm designing the quilting for a quilt. I love swirls and the swirl meander but the elongated ones are kicking my keister, so I guess I'll have to join this quilt along.
I am so excited for this latest challenge! Just got my vision cleared with surgery, and I'm ready to progress in my quilting journey. I love the encouragement to develop our own "style". Thank you Angela🎉
What an exciting challenge! I agree with you that all quilts can use some swirls. Even though this is the #1 FMQ motif I struggle with. Lol. The upcoming challenge will definitely help me a LOT. Thank you for all your prep in order to teach the rest of us. It’s appreciated.
You have made me a much better quilter and longarmer. Every step of my journey has included you and I want to thank you for your teaching and enthusiasm……and encouragement. Keep up your creativity and thank you also for making this affordable for all.
I haven’t been able to quilt because I broke my ankle so I am so excited to start this challenge as I will be able to go back to my favorite hobby by then! I love swirls! This panel and fabric is just beautiful!!
I'm excited about this new challenge as swirls are not my best quilting skill. I have learned so much from your previous challenges! I am a retired teacher and picked up quilting after I retired. You are an excellent teacher and if it wasn't for your videos I don't think I would have ever been able to tackle the quilting part. You help me not to be afraid to try different designs. Now it is one of my favorite things to do! Thank you so much for sharing your talent and expertise and making it so much fun!
Love watching your videos. Even if you're not doing the quilt along the tips and tricks you provide are priceless. Thank you for helping us understand that we can do this. 😊
I have participated in several of your challenges and have loved them all. It really helps me to gain confidence before tackling my own quilts. A beautiful bundle of fat quarters would be so fun to add more to my challenge quilts. 🤞 Thank you for all you do to help quilters and our community! One day I’d love to visit your store; maybe during your Walk Around Town days! ❤
I have to admit, I would love, love, love winning the fabric bundle. Those colors are breathtaking!!!! Thank you, Angela, for these wonderful videos. I’ve nearly worn out UA-cam watching and rewatching your videos while I learn FMQ.
Love these tutorials and I found that the preprinted fabric makes great dog beds, quilts for use on outside picnics, blankets in the car for MN winters and I can still be proud of the quilting.
Hi Angela! I had the opportunity to visit your shop in sept. I picked up some of your practice fabric and other things. Can’t wait to try that out and one of you patterns. Lovely shop and a fabulous person who showed us numerous things and took great care of us. Thanks for all you do. One day I am gonna get this free motion quilting down.!
Your FM Challenges are the BEST, Angela. I love the panels you design and your quilting instruction is so encouraging and inspiring and makes learning skills possible & doable.
I have watched you on and off for several years but for the last several months I have been in a quilting down. But watching this video has me excited for trying it out and building on my skill set. Thank you for the inspiration.
Swirls - my knees quake, and my hands shake with the thought of swirls. I really, really want to conquer those swirls. They look so pretty when you do them , at best , my attempts have been drunk and fractured . Love , love the colours and the panel.
Love the new panel. Every one is better than the previous one. People that see the panels I have quilted can’t believe it’s a panel. Good job Angela! The fat quarter bundle is beautiful.
Hello Angela, now that I’ve watch this wee’s message about the swirl quilt along I really need this five week tutorial. My swirls are so anemic! I really need this challenge with all the help( training wheels) sections. I am a self-taught free motion quilter and this will surely up my quilting abilities. Thanks for doing all this work to set up this challenge. What a holiday gift for us!
I have a stack of quilt tops waiting to be quilted but I've worried that I would mess them up doing them my self. I've watched several of your videos and love your sense of humor and optimism. You make it looks so easy and the idea of having training wheels is going to make this so much easier. I can't wait to join this challenge and then tackle a few of the quilts in my stack. Thank you so much for doing this!
I will be traveling this winter when this video series goes on so I won’t be able to quilt along, but I look forward to watching the videos. The new panel is beautiful. Thanks Angela for teaching us so much.
I LOVE your free motion videos! I can always find the help I need for my current projects. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and talent with us!
Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your skills and time with us. I have loved every challenge and have learnt so much from you. I adore swirls but think I need a refresher on good technique and am especially looking forward to the swirl chain section.
Thank you for your generosity and enthusiasm. I’ve done two of your quilt alongs, one of which is hanging on the wall behind my sewing machine. Every time I see it I can’t believe I quilted it. You have given me the skills and the confidence to quilt a lot of my own quilts. I’ve quilted many projects since, using your videos as reference. You are a gifted artist and teacher. Go Chiefs
I’ve learned to FMQ with you for many years and I love the swirl! I’m using the concentric swirl right now on Starry Night, a nativity quilt to hang in my grandkids bedroom when they visit during Christmas. Your books are my most used resource! Thank you so much for your inspired teaching!
Each time you put out a new panel I say that is better than the last one. But they are all beautiful. And I'm so pleased that you put this out with training wheels, I think that will help me so much!
Hi Angela and Jessica! I'm really looking forward to the quilting along! I love swirls and want to learn the variations and how to use them in quilts. Thanks for putting this together!
OMG! The timing of this couldn't be better. I just finished telling my husband that I can't quilt a swirl to save my life. I can't wait to learn all your tricks and tips and hope that I'll be proudly quilting swirls and even my favourite - the chain - in the new year!
I love the rainbow panels and this one is another great one! You are where I turned when I got my longarm and have never looked back! Swirls are the best! 😊
So looking forward to this challenge! I just did some free-motion swirls and although they look OK among the other quilting designs I really do need guidance and practice! This is perfect timing! And I love the way you make us all feel that we CAN do nice free-motion work! Thank you!
YES, YES, YES!!! I am so thrilled about the 'training wheels'. Oh my gosh, this is fantastic for me. I have been afraid and intimidated to try any fancier designs. When I first found you, I bought the training wheels on the website. After I quilted them, I didn't know how to apply them to my projects. This challenge has both. I feel so hopeful. Thank you so much....
Angela you never cease to amaze me with your incredibly kind encouraging nature to teach newbies. Thank you for sharing your quilting design passion within both your own and Tula’s creations…each and every one of them are absolutely breathtaking! Looking forward to this quilting challenge. Cheers! 😊💜🪡🧵🎨🌟, JustJo🇨🇦
I love every aspect of quilting. I just don’t have the courage to conquer every single aspect. That is probably why I have five quilt tops pieced waiting for the next step. Thank you thank you thank you thank you for your quilt challenges! They are giving me the courage to machine quilt and being OK with not being perfect. I can’t wait for your swirls challenge to start. Hugs.
Love the colors and looking forward to learning different ways to do swirls. Great quilt pattern to learn on. Thanks again for the challenge to get out of my box and learn something new.
Hey Angela I love the new panel, and all the fabrics actually. I'm a new longarm owner. I've done 1 quilt so far and Lots and Lots of quilt sandwiches for practice. BUT... I'm scared to commit to your challenge! I really want to but I'm very nervous to do it with ya'll . I will overcome this fear hopefully. Very soon ! Thanks for all your help and teaching !! I try to watch your live each week.
Swirls have always been a challenge for me. I am looking forward to this opportunity to practice a variety of different ones!! It’s been awhile since I have jumped in on one of your quilt alongs. This will be fun!
I love watching you quilt swirls and can’t wait to see you teach them!! Looking forward to learning just swirls. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience! 🥰
So excited about the new challenge! I think this will be my 8th challenge and I have learned so much from you. I really suck at swirls so this will be a great challenge for me. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
This panel is really pretty! I especially like the training wheels fabrics!! It looks like I need to purchase an early Christmas present for myself. lol!! Thank you Angela for taking the time to teach us. I really enjoy your videos!!
I love the rainbow fabric and the panel design. I am really looking forward to this upcoming challenge and being able to "master" the swirl. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your enthusiasm for teaching.
Angela you did it again! 😮 Every new challenge I tell myself I need to get my others done before I buy a new panel, but then you release one with the very thing I need the most help on! Needless to say! Going to your website now. 😅 Thank you for everything you do! I love these! Best classes to learn ever!
So excited about this one! I’m finally settled into my new home with my machine set up and time on my hands to do the dot to dot project over the holiday season. How fun to have the swirls to move on to in January!
I have just registered for January and purchased the large panel with all the goodies!!!!! Can not wait, as I have only quilted following a paragraph or a computer-generated pattern on my long arm. I look forward to the freedom that this course is going to provide.
I am excited to participate in the Swirls FMQ Challenge. I learned so much from the “How do I Quilt This” , which was my first FMQ Challenge. Thank you for providing these classes. They are such a tremendous resource!
Thank you very very much for adding the training lines to the panel and also the additional training wheels fabric. This will help with muscle memory vs. drawing on paper.
After MUCH practice (Angela, you were right), I love swirls and use it as my go-to filler. Thank you for all you do to help us in this quilting journey.
As for many (or so it appears!), swirls have been my challenge. This series will ease the angst many quilters have in accomplishing this skill and I look forward to January 7th. Keep smiling!
I have learned so much from Angela. I am currently trying to finish up my feather challenge quilt. I have many UFO's but hope to get better at doing swirls to finish them especially a Christmas quilt that I think could use some snow swirls.

Hi Miss Angela. I wish I could have learned Quilting long ago in my youth like you did. I do everything fast and not so good because I feel I don't have a lot of time to waste learning as I am not so young. Love your shows..
You have been my quilting teacher since Midnight Quilt Show. You have encouraged me to learn new techniques. This panel is beautiful and I am looking forward to this new Quilt along.
I’m so excited to join this swirl group challenge. While I have been quilting and watching you for years, this is my first online course! Let’s do this!
Angela, your quilting videos are definitely my therapy. I tend to over critique my work, but you ake me feel good about what I've done.
So happy to have this challenge! To be able to zero in on the elongated swirl especially will add so much versatility to my quilting! Thank you as always for all that you do for us free motion perfection wannabees.

I have learned so much from Angela. I am currently trying to finish up my feather challenge quilt. I have many UFO's but hope to get better at doing swirls to finish them especially a Christmas quilt that I think could use some snow swirls.
I LOVE this! Thank you, Angela, for all of these Challenges!
Angela, your teaching style is so welcoming. I think I'm going to give this a go. I need to get my machine in for service so I can be ready. Have a great holiday season.

It seems most people love feathers, but I definitely love swirls the best! Very excited to use this challenge to learn how to quilt on my longarm.
Love the ease with which you present your ideas and share your talents
