I honestly haven't had those experiences. There were no food shortages at all. I have seen a few flies here and there, but nothing concerning. Mosquitos yes. If they love you, make sure you arm up, lol. My husband was bitten badly, while kids and I not so much. The only thing is, yes, room mini bar.. I didn't really missed since you can get a drink on every corner. Your house keeping always leaves watter and I think if you ask for it, you can a couple of beers. Tip is very much appreciated.
