Good translation. Perhaps trying to be too good as it does sound like it was originally written in another language. Some expressions in German just cannot be simply translated. Phrases like "Und was immer ich tun muss, will ich tun für Sarah" is natural and poetic in German but is translated to "TThere is nothing I would not do or be for Sarah" which is not how most people speak in general.
it was written by kunze, this was actually his first libretto written in english. even though it opened in vienna before the unauthorized version made its way to broadway. the libretto was first penned in english.
Yeah, that's cool! I didn't know that the original German actors are singing the songs in English as well. I love that song so much! It's so beautiful! *-*
@eglamour03 ...omg is this really Aris?! I guess it does sound like him... This isn't the Broadway version is it? I've never listened to it because I heard it was just horrible and I shouldn't plague my brain with the memory of it...
Thank you soo much for the English versions
Oh my goodness that's a wonderful version... Thank you so much for posting!!
Thanks.
Do you have this song in English:
Einladung zum Ball" sung by steve barton?
