It's nice to learn other ways, by watching others. I have been playing the guitar for a long time, and still learning. Thanks to you Tube and teachers, I watch a lot and still learning.
Awesome job! I've got that same guitar, my Baby Taylor mahogany traveler, now I've got no excuse not to practice when I'm on the road! Thanks so much for putting in the time to present this lesson.
2:50 I always fret that A string with my first finger, but that note is still part of the chord so it doesn't sound bad. Just a tip for a begginers like myself.
Klaus or anyone, could you shed a little light on the rhythm. I believe the turnaround is 2 bars, right after the IV chord and right before the beginning I chord. How does the rhythm break down for the turnaround?
Hi John, indeed the turnaround is 2 bars after the IV chord. On the turnaround you could play 1 bar on E ( the I chord ) and 1 bar on B ( the V chord )
there are some people like me who have been playing guitar for 30 years and still cant make there pinky finger strench straight up like hes finger is doing here, I can do a scale and use my pinky finger to reach across 4 frets, but I cant make my little finger go straight up, my finger wants to curl up and it makes a c shape, now I know that people will say just keep working at it and it will work, but after 30 years? I don't think so, I believe my tendions are to tight, meaning my little finger is connected to my ring finger, I have study this for years, and I believe that is the problem. But it does not stop me from playing mu guitar, and I play pretty good inspite of the fact that there are a few things that I can not do, but there is more then one way to get the job done. Just look a Django, he was one of the best jazz players in the world and he only had 2 fingers to play with, in other words he broke all the rules,
nice turnaround. but at the example in the end. the chord change from e to a is one bar too late. 12 bar blues e to a change at second bar or at 5th, not second.
A turnaround ends in the V the of the Major scale (A 12 Bar blues uses I, IV, and V of the Major scale, generally) The V chord, in this case is B7 as he is playing in E. The V chord creates tension and wants to be resolved, which is why a turnaround is used to go back to the begining of the 12 bar progression. To finish the song, replace the V with the I. Try it, it just sounds right..He explains it at 5:18.
Hi Lou, I try to keep in mind that all levels of guitar players are watching this. Also the complete beginners who want to take their chance. Thanks for the tip anyway, I'll try to do better next time. ;)
If you have a smaller body it cannot compete with a bigger body, but the baby Taylor is a travel guitar. At the same time you could say a Full size Taylor is the worst travel guitar there is. 😂
Just show it, and then do it slowly. No need for the tedious description of where each finger is going on whatever fret. If someone can play well enough to play a basic blues, they can see what you're doing.
@@guitarhabits trust me, move quicker--assume the picker who's picked your link is ready and not needing of the sort of flight attendant life-vest nonsense...just get into it.
Lets put our first finger on the 3rd string 2nd fret then our second finger on the blaa blaaa blaa.........fret on the blaaaaa blaaa blaaaaa blaaa on the blaa blaaaaaaaa............ we can see it man thanks for the help but why bother doin that?
I wish all videos were as easy to follow as yours, thanks!
It's nice to learn other ways, by watching others. I have been playing the guitar for a long time, and still learning. Thanks to you Tube and teachers, I watch a lot and still learning.
Sharing your knowledge with others is what is expected from everybody. But only good guys do it generosily. Thank you.
THAT was a good guitar lesson! Easy to understand and follow.
Very good.
i realize I am quite randomly asking but do anyone know of a good website to stream new movies online ?
All 6 are excellent Blues licks. Added nicely to my bag of licks. And very well executed in your teaching method!

Nice easy fingering --learnt something different on turnarounds --thankyou so much
Wonderful; many thanks. Very useful, and very well explained and filmed. I appreciate that you do this slowly.
Awesome job! I've got that same guitar, my Baby Taylor mahogany traveler, now I've got no excuse not to practice when I'm on the road! Thanks so much for putting in the time to present this lesson.
Great teaching, easy to understand and relaxed. Thanks
wow finally today a simple to understand, functional lesson ty, i subscribed, well done :)
Your video is the first ever that made me WANT to practice!
That's what I needed! Turnarounds to spice up my 12 bar blues! Thanks!
can you tell me what is the function of turnaround?
is it just for intro before the progression?
To get you back to the 1 chord
Hi Nicole, Keep those turnarounds coming around. Have a good practice 😉🎸👍🕺
2:50 I always fret that A string with my first finger, but that note is still part of the chord so it doesn't sound bad. Just a tip for a begginers like myself.

はじめまして。とても勉強になります。感謝します。
i envy your fingers..the size of them gives you the abilitty to really master the instrument
thanks! been searching for this exact one!
Hi Kris, glad I could help you out with that. Enjoy the turnarounds. 👊🎸🎶
Nice! greetings from Brasil!
Hi Cesar, thanks! Greetings from Holland 😊👌
Hi, with so many variations of turnarounds, I need suggestions on how to categorize them . All advice is great.
quite possibly you could categorize them by what key you are playing in? I know, crazy, but give it a shot.
Well done lesson! thanks.
Wow awesome ,
I like your videos
Go on bro
Hi Mohamad, I’m back at it again. Enjoy the practice! 😉👍
very good lesson ..
Hi Mike, thank you. Keep picking 🤗🎸🙋♂️
That's a nice one.
Thanks a lot sir!
thanks for the lesson
Hi Gerry, thank you for following along with lesson. Enjoy! 😊🎸👌
Nice guitar, i was using a baby taylor for this :P
thanks for the video, a curiosity the guitar has two parker screws on the 16 fret are an aesthetic embellishment or they are there out of necessity
Hi Jorko, I don’t have a clue. 😄✌️
Keep GOING!!
I will 😄👌

Great help thanks alot
Lovely
Hi Shegundo, nice description. 😉👍
the last two 7 chords...are they two 8ths notes? is one dotted?
Hi, is that a Parlor guitar you are playing on? The sound is just awesome!
MagicMaui1 Taylor Baby Travel Guitar. Hope that helps.
Terry Hampton thanks! ... It helps a lot ... I thought it was a baby taylor, but was not sure.
+Terry Hampton but then again, the answer was in het comments ... I should have scrolled ...
great!!!
good stuff, must be nice to have long fingers.

great video and instructions, thank you! its great if a guy doesnt stammer, over explain the simple thongs, or have random interjections. ill sub..
Hi Randy, thanks for your honest feedback. Have a good one! 😉🎸👍
like it very good
nice turnaround. but at the example in the end. the chord change from e to a is one bar too late. 12 bar blues e to a change at second bar or at 5th, not second.
Yeah, whatever. It's all music.
You can do both. Changing at 2nd is called “fast change” changing at 5th is slow change blues.
What's the chord at the end?
B7 I'm pretty sure
+Arizona Mando It's a B7(9)
Exactly!
Right on! 😎🤘
His fingers are almost a foot long! His hand reminds me of a cluster of bananas. He could probably fret the first and 12th frets at the same time!
Merci, danke
What guitar is it?
That's the Taylor Baby. Love it! Own one too. I also play the Taylor GS Mini. Wow..
The Taylor GS mini its just amazing for the size....
Cool
Cool,
Thanks Tim, Appreciate it. 😉🤘
👏👏
Thanks ugajin, I appreciate it. 😊👍
It doesn't sound the way it should. I was looking for this exact thing, but it feels like you go to high every chord.
I get high and play chords
Katana Senpai
Okay
fuck off BoBu
J Booth
Wow what the fuck is your problem.
+J Booth fuck off dad
At the very end I think you meant to say “with your First finger on the seventh fret” right?
Hi Glenn, yes I did indeed. thanks for making that clear. 😉👌
isn't this an ending, rather than a turnaround? If you play this, it feels as if the tune has to end.
+Frank Roegiers Not all the time....
Frank Roegiers If you end C9-B9, it's for turnaround.. you do F9-E9 to end it (8th to 7th fret) . he does show that at 6:00.. (--:
A turnaround ends in the V the of the Major scale (A 12 Bar blues uses I, IV, and V of the Major scale, generally) The V chord, in this case is B7 as he is playing in E. The V chord creates tension and wants to be resolved, which is why a turnaround is used to go back to the begining of the 12 bar progression. To finish the song, replace the V with the I. Any exotic vegetable I can eat to make my fingers long as yours to play better git fiddle 🥴 😂 🤘
Hi Luvinlife, it only seems that way. It’s a small guitar. 😁
I'm just curious...
How tall are you??😂
😂 it’s the guitar. It’s a Baby Taylor.
Great lessons, but dust that dam head stock.
Hi Jeanette, It's what I call rock 'n roll 💪😂🎸
B.
Have a great one Margaret! 😊✌️🎸
Blues on a Taylor just ain't cuttin' it.
Is he a giant or is that a tiny guitar
The latter 😉👍
The title says 6 turnarounds! Where are the other 5 professor!!
Check them all out here: www.guitarhabits.com/6-cool-guitar-blues-turn-arounds-in-the-key-of-e/
Your shirt makes me nervous.
what a tiny guitar :P
nice video though !!
oh I hate you! LOL....
😂😉👍
:O
Hi Luis, let’s play some guitar 🎸😄👍
Very frustrating to watch someone explain and re-explain something we can see plainly.
Hi Lou, I try to keep in mind that all levels of guitar players are watching this. Also the complete beginners who want to take their chance. Thanks for the tip anyway, I'll try to do better next time. ;)
you don't play blues with a taylor!
You actually said that in front of people?
that may be six components to one turn around, not six turn arounds.
Hi Jimmy, indeed it’s all in the way how you look at things. 😉👍
The Baby Taylor is the worst sounding Taylor of all time
If you have a smaller body it cannot compete with a bigger body, but the baby Taylor is a travel guitar. At the same time you could say a Full size Taylor is the worst travel guitar there is. 😂
Where are the other 5 turnarounds? Six minutes for one lick and some variations? Get to it, man.
the world has givers and takers. in this case "Guitar Habits" is a giver while Glen'ski is obviously a taker :)
Just show it, and then do it slowly. No need for the tedious description of where each finger is going on whatever fret. If someone can play well enough to play a basic blues, they can see what you're doing.
Hi Nick, I have to take a variety of player levels into account, but I realize it’s different for everybody. 😉👍
@@guitarhabits trust me, move quicker--assume the picker who's picked your link is ready and not needing of the sort of flight attendant life-vest nonsense...just get into it.
Six turnarounds?
Awww, how about one turnaround. Thats all I saw.
See the title? #1. There are 5 other vids.
Jose Gonzalez Didn't you notice the #1 in the title of the video? That usually means that there are other videos i.e #2, #3, etc.
Lets put our first finger on the 3rd string 2nd fret then our second finger on the blaa blaaa blaa.........fret on the blaaaaa blaaa blaaaaa blaaa on the blaa blaaaaaaaa............ we can see it man thanks for the help but why bother doin that?
. . . well it helped meeee :)
to a small degree it is, however i dont see that in this gentleman's video, lets see your posted vids...?
boring
Hi Biff, that’s feedback too. 😂😄✌️
