Absolutely beautiful! This piece was performed with such power and grace, you can hear and feel it. When played correctly, the snare drum can produce a lot of emotion and feeling, and this can only be done well if the percussionist can portray such feeling... This drum line was the perfect example of this.

It’s in a minor key, that’s what the songwriter(s) intended. I wouldn’t say it has a sad and sappy feel to it, though. It conveys the emotions of awe, wonder, humility, and inadequacy, the same that you’re going to feel when you stand before the Lamb and Lion.
Ever since finding this on UA-cam many years ago, I always have to watch it (more than once) every Christmas since. Before I got kicked off Flakebook I would post it to my page and send it to friends and old drum corps buddies. Still gives me goosebumps.

drummers don't get tired . We can practice 8 hours a day for a 15 minute performance and still not be to tired that we cannot practice another 8 and perform again .

Every year in the period before christmas i watch this video, and even after so many times of watching this, it brings tears to my eyes. Why?, i dont know it simply does.
This, in my opinion is a better version. It's not just one, but 10 people who are dressed in this uniform. I seem to try and visualize a little boy being serious and playing his very best to Our Lord Baby Jesus. These guys take it to a more level of honoring and with the most highest respect to Our Creator. To give a very nice performance. This is pretty close to how I see this little drummer boy. Thank you to the drummers. Very good performance.

Usually really dislike this song - most versions are slow and sappy. This one is fun to listen to and is uplifting and ACTUALLY has a drum in it.
