Usually really dislike this song - most versions are slow and sappy. This one is fun to listen to and is uplifting and ACTUALLY has a drum in it.

It’s in a minor key, that’s what the songwriter(s) intended. I wouldn’t say it has a sad and sappy feel to it, though. It conveys the emotions of awe, wonder, humility, and inadequacy, the same that you’re going to feel when you stand before the Lamb and Lion.

Absolutely beautiful! This piece was performed with such power and grace, you can hear and feel it. When played correctly, the snare drum can produce a lot of emotion and feeling, and this can only be done well if the percussionist can portray such feeling... This drum line was the perfect example of this.

Ever since finding this on UA-cam many years ago, I always have to watch it (more than once) every Christmas since. Before I got kicked off Flakebook I would post it to my page and send it to friends and old drum corps buddies. Still gives me goosebumps.

drummers don't get tired . We can practice 8 hours a day for a 15 minute performance and still not be to tired that we cannot practice another 8 and perform again .

I've just seen the video. great job drum line. now to my point and I'll make it quite clear. how dare you speckulate or even judge that preacher for what he is doing. first of all. stop judging because in the end at the gates of heaven. You will be judged acordingly. secondly great singing and to the boy drumming in front of all the snare drummers in that line great job to you for having the guts to try to even play the drum.
