    Where can you obtain shower strainer and group seal for this machine? AB doesn’t seem to sell them, or are they generic. Got mine yesterday and can’t really believe what an improvement it is on my relatively new and significantly under powered Breville. Cheers.

    Is it true that the Single shoot is only done with 7 gr./ 14gr. for the Double shoot? I read this in the manual…you are talking about a 18 gr. possibility? Confusing…BTW: is it true that the machine is on temperature after 10 minutes?

      yes and yes. Shot volumes have large ranges. Single Shot can be from 7g - 11g and double shots from 14g-22g

    Hello, I would like to see more about this machine, especially as it competes with the Apartamento Rocket, as well as with the Profitec 500 and the EMC Slim Mechanics. It has become very popular in Saudi Arabia after it was announced and a lot of people are looking for content for it, but for now there is not enough to cover its advantages and we hope that you give it a little of your time 🙏🏻🤍

    Does the PID controls the brew temperature truly. or it just controls the steam pressure only ? also great review

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks! It controls the main boiler that is dedicated to Steam Pressure - however there is a reliable off-set that allows you to brew with a fairly consistent brew temp. Although - there is a small window of good pressure and good brew temp. Anything over or under this wondown and one of the actions is diminished.

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  2 роки тому +2

      A Single Boiler machine - with a Heat Exchanging System will also allow you to do this - by heating the boiler up to Steam Temps - and transferring the heat away and cooling it down to brewing temps through a system of pipes - so you can do both at once.

    Caveat emptor: while this machine is ostensibly an E61 type the group head seal is not a conventional 8mm deep seal but 6mm. The latter are also expensive, apparently only available with a filter screen @ $30++ from Alternative Brewing, even more expensive from DiPacci, the former who erroneously and repeatedly told me that this machine takes a generic E61 seal. Poor understanding from Alternative Brewing on machines they sell and poor client experience from the manufacturer who I’m still waiting for an email response from.

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  Рік тому

      We appreciate the feedback! I'll look in to making the 6mm seals more readily available without any further parts. Apologies for the confusions.

    Your video suggests 18grams of coffee beans but the booklet that comes with the machine suggests 14 grams? The latter produces very weak coffee. Any ideas why Bellezza would recommend only 14 grams?

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  2 роки тому

      Some of the standard Filter baskets are only 14-16g Baskets - actually a majority of Coffee machines default baskets are 14-16g. This along with plastic tampers is really where you want to upgrade - or purchase alongside the machine. You will be able to fit more than the stated amount for the basket - just ensure it isn't too hard to lock in to the grouphead.
      If you do consider getting newer baskets - I highly recommend either VST or Pullman Filter baskets of 18-20g varieties. Anymore than this - and it won't fit in to the Portafilter.

      Remove the tray on the top of the machine, or the cup warmer as they call it, but I think it's for ventilation, then unscrew the plate underneath, you will see two valves with red wax covering the screw, gently remove the Wax from the OPV valve that's on the left side, not the one on top of the boiler, then with a screwdriver rotate anticlockwise for lower pressure or clockwise for higher, rotate it one-quarter anticlockwise and then place the portafilter with a blind basket on the group head and pull a shot for 8-9 seconds looking at the pressure gauge adjust the screw accordingly until you get to 9 bars, or whatever pressure you require, hope this helps.

    Did you performed a cooling flush before brewing? If so, for how many sec did you? Also, the temperatures that you show as being related with the boiler temperature, are those measured by you with a specialized portafilter?

    • @AlternativeBrewing
      @AlternativeBrewing  Рік тому

      No I did not - I found the Chiara - if anything ran 1-2ºc cooler than my experience with HX machines usually running too hot. I never experienced poor band-width with the PID and was very reliable. Testing with a SCACE was not done - the deomsration of Temperature was to display the PID controls and how to adjust if if necessary. I understand the importance of using a SCACE for verified analysis though - in doing so recently - I've also ran foul with machines not being consistent - so I'm cautious to make statements around temperature precision specifically - though most HX and Single boilers do require some flushing of the grouphead 👍

    I really like this machine but I’m concerned that there won’t be enough steam pressure if the PID was set to the lowest possible temperature. Other than that this machine is perfect for my needs. Also is the group head the only method to get hot water out?
