This is an excellent video review. This video is a lot more useful about battery charging (how long and how to tell when the batter is fully charged) and how to actually operate and use the chainsaw. than the virtually useless included directions are. It also stresses when to cut from the direction of having the motor unit facing outward, when to make a cut on the opposite side of the main cut and how to lubricate the chainsaw. It also demonstrates the proper chain tension and how to adjust it. I strongly recommend that you watch this video before battery charging and using the chainsaw and you will know all you need to know about properly and safely using it.

@@houseonthemend I used the chainsaw today for the first time to cut up some large dry palm tree fronds that the wind had blown off a very large palm tree so they could fit into my trash can. You video showed me how to lubricate the chain and blade properly before using it and it went through those hard 2" and 3" stems like a hot knife through butter. This chainsaw is great for this kind of job and for cutting small to medium sized tree and bush branches. I love the fact that you can safely use it with one hand.while using the other one to steady what you are cutting.
Once again, thank you for your video. This chainsaw is very handy, lightweight, powerful and easy to handle while using it and it makes these kind of jobs much easier to perform.

    • @houseonthemend

I totally agree. I absolutely love that you can operate it comfortably with one hand.

@@houseonthemend One bad development. I was cutting a 2 1/2" branch (which had previously been handled with no problem) and the saw just froze. I switched to another fully charged battery and nothing happened. I checked to see and used tweezers and a small pipe brush to clean out any sawdust or fiber residue that might have been clogging the chain.
Before I say that there is a defect I would like to hear from you about what I might possibly be able to do to fix this. If you think that I might need to move the chain, please tell me how to do that. When I tried (with no battery of course) the saw stayed frozen and I couldn't move anything.
I only bought this mini chainsaw three weeks ago. I really liked it and it was doing a great job. I wasn't using it to cut hard wood or anything like that. Just a couple of palm fronds and some bush branches that were no thicker than 3".

I would immediately return it on Amazon before the return date ends. If that has already closed, I would contact Saker directly for a replacement.

A really great review - so thank you. I’m a female who loves power tools, and I came here to find out about oiling because the instructions weren’t 100% clear. I’ve just bought one of these little guys and I love it! I bought a dual height Black and Decker Workmate at the same time and what an investment in both time and energy these were. 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

Great video. I just got mine and did give it a wee try after charging my batteries. It was amazing! Your video gave me lots of great info. I will need to tighten the chain a little bit and will re-lube as well. More trimming in my future. PS I am a woman and like another said, had no idea these existed before I saw an ad on UA-cam. It is a game changer for me.
