  • This video is about the Smart Saker Tool Mini Chainsaw. Battery powered mini chainsaws are popular today due to their portability, power and ease of use for pruning trees and shrubs and cutting firewood. In this video, I show you how to tighten, remove, and replace the chain on the Smart Saker Tool Mini Chainsaw. Most of these little saws are pretty similar and this video may be applicable to many of them as well. If you would like to see the Smart Saker Tool Mini Chainsaw in action, look for the video link below.

Thank you. Your video was very helpful. My mini came with poor instructions, and no mention of oil. It does not appear to have holes for oil as I have on my larger chainsaw. Would you suggest just oiling the chain and wiping the excess? I’m afraid of gumming it up.

@@patriciag7508 Yes. Lubricate the chain with oil regularly when using it. My saw came with a very small dropper bottle of a clear, light weight oil. I use a multi-purpose spray lubricant

It has been TORTURE working w/the chain; tightening, replacing....most frustration ever w/any tool, since you need to keep a bunch of things going: hold chain tight while at the same time tightening....ugh. Watch the segments at the 1:09 and the 4:20 marks. There is a philips head screw that moves a small metal post back and forth when you turn the screw. That post fits in a hole in the bar and when you turn the screw counter-clock-wise, it moves the bar back toward the sprocket that the chain goes over and loosens the chain. Tighten the chain by turning the screw clock-wise which moves the bar away from the sprocket. Hope this helps.
