Life feels like it has been just a little bit hard lately. Doesn't mean that we stop moving but it does feel like I have stalled. Stuck. Sitting in one place. And that's probably one of the worse feelings. I feel like I've been just sitting here hoping that things would change rather than taking action to actually change it.
I almost didn't have time to edit and post this video this week. So it is the step in the right direction .. it's one step. And sometimes we need to count the steps before we can look back and see the distance that we've traveled.
Hope you all are doing well. I miss connecting with you and that sense of community.

Imagine being a whole doctor and phenomenal wife, mom, influencer and still having self doubt. Unreal. You are a literal inspiration. People come to you for advice on health and wellness and motivation. Ive been watching you since you were an MS-4 and seeing you be so candid about how even you struggle with wanting to do more and be more speaks volumes about the person you are. you’ve accomplished so much and still feel you can do more. You’re not alone, we all have these moments. But never try to dim your own light. You are nothing short of amazing. Never forget it.

This is pretty common for high achievers. Always torturing themselves because, no matter how great you're doing in life, as far as you're concerned you could be doing it better.
It's OK 😀. I know it is sometimes hard to see it from your point of view, but compared to the vast majority you are doing great! You've already achieved more in your short life than most will before they die, girl.
That being said, if you don't stop to smell the roses and collect yourself every once in a while, your accomplishments will be unnoticed by YOU, and your mind interprets it as if all the hard work isn't paying off even though it actually is.
Relax, breathe and evaluate. For each of your goals, look at the ground covered so far and I believe you will feel a bit better.
I wish you the best in your endeavors.

As a physician, you should consider MD VIP. My doctor went to this last year and we followed her. I cant tell you the significant difference that has made. Doctors have more time to spend with patients and the care we receive is so much better. The doctors also have less patients. Yes the patients pay yearly for this but it is so worth it. We can call the doctor and be seen that day or the next.

@JennyLe I hope that will make you feel better. So, I'm 40, I quit my job in administration 8 years ago due to depression (light one) because I could and didn't work since then. In 2018 I started to gain weight and gained 20kg/40lbs. We moved to the USA two years ago. It was stressful but we love California. I started to do CrossFit over a year ago. I love it but I can't do it more than 3 times a week and when I have guests or I'm stressed I don't go at all. I tried to go back to work at the beginning of the year but quit after 2 weeks. It cost me a lot of stress and now I'm afraid to look for something new. I feel like I'm not able to focus on more than one thing at a time so I feel it has to be or job or weight loss and training. Every change is stressing me out. So you are doing great!!
I don't even have kids, we have two cats. And you are doing it ALL!! how?!? I don't know.

I'm also currently struggling in life right now, so it was comforting to watch your video. It allows me to reflect what my struggles have been and that I have worked hard. Today I felt like others are doing well so I felt disheartened and discouraged because I'm struggling while they are moving forward. I know everyone's timeline is different, but it's hard when I don't have the proof when others do. I'm eager for change, but I'm also careful to not be too eager to rush into things and end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, if that makes any sense. Thank you for reading and I wish for the both of us to continue keeping at it and trusting in the process :)

I always tell my kids to aim for done not perfect. 😊 Sorry, you are overwhelmed right now. My daughter is a first born and tries to tackle so many things at once then gets burnt out. It’s important for her to take time to herself and take days off of all the activities. If you are feeling like it’s all too much, I would say remove things from your plate. Competitions will always be there. The kids won’t always be little (enjoy them). Investing can take care of the student loans. I would recommend taking care of you and not feeling like you need to help the world. My dad has had several strokes and I take care of him with zero compensation and he is mean. I am finally asking for help and it’s out there. I can’t be everything for him and nothing for myself. I hope you feel better and get to relax more. Breathe, do some yoga, and pray. ❤️

@Jenny Le not yet. I just got this book called "Power Moves: The Doctor's Ultimate Guide to Contracts & Negotiations". My goal is to finish reading it and develop what I'm looking for in my first job by the end of the year and start looking in January. If you have any tips of where/how to start looking I'm all ears. I've heard there are services where recruiters call you with job opportunities (but that the calls never stop even after you get a job or ask). I've also got a link from a friend yesterday for physicians practice link. And then I heard I should look for practices where I want to practice and call to see if they are hiring.
I have an advisor in my program so I'll ask them too. But definitely still figuring it all out

Honestly, you achieve so much and have so many talents and skills and so much intelligence and emotional strength and literal strength and you are devoted to so many different things with so much love and effort that it would be exhausting to even try to name a fraction of them, so it’s not surprising that you get overwhelmed with that sometimes. I think as a model for human achievement and as a role model in general you are great on so many levels and a great example of how to hold everything together. I’m not half the superhuman you are or even close, but no matter who we are there is always a point where we get pulled in too many directions and sometimes there isn’t enough time in the world. I wish I knew what to say about the feelings of inadequacy. It’s never as easy as affirming someone is good enough. I guess a question might be to ask yourself what might make you feel adequate enough to let some of the burden. If you can’t find the answers to be more at peace than maybe more space to find them in the moment might help. I think there are those times where a pause and a reset or a shift can help to refocus. I hope all the people and comments and some time to self reflect through your vlog can be a source of meditative support when you might be feeling overwhelmed and that it helps you to refocus. Wherever you want to put your efforts I know you will only succeed and grow in whatever direction motivates you and helps you feel complete. We are never really done but we are always complete. As far as a fear of failure goes, recently I’ve picked up some new hobbies and a piece of advice I liked is that it didn’t matter how perfect the results were and that the act of following through would plant a seed and I know you are used to growth in all kinds of spaces so you have proof of your ability to grow and achieve in any space. As long as it’s what you want you have no reason to doubt yourself and failure is just a word. Really it’s a stepping stone. I guess I’m saying that you should prioritize and limit growth by listening and responding to your needs and prioritize your inner voice. The holidays are a tough time even in the best scenario and the level of stress people go through can be crazy. So be good to yourself and be well. Love yourself like you deserve to be loved so you can be at your best.

End of year is rough for me, too. Holidays, expectations, comparisons, Reminder of time moving by so quickly. Then you have the pandemic "effect," associated PTSD, RSV/Flu/Covid, and kiddo in kindergarten. Luckily we've been healthy with the exception of a 24 hour low fever (our Kindergartner). And our dog needed topical and systemic antibiotics for a skin infection on his nose. Everyone is boosted with the bivalent vaccine. Still taking precautions at work (N95, etc. ). Not going to communal family gatherings at the in-laws (traditionally 30-60 ppl indoors--prior to the pandemic). This is the first year they have had Thanksgiving with more than immediate family. Wait to see if anyone gets sick....yikes. One of the attendees just got back from a bachelor party in Mexico City...smh
Regarding your weight lifting competition, only do it if it will bring you joy. So many things in life bring stress. Don't let your hobby/passion be one of them. BTW you look incredibly fit and toned!
Still have to buy a pair of your leggings to support your business. Perhaps for my wife!!! Not sure I'm comfortable wearing female leggings (although I know Stan was a very masculine model).
Hang in there, Jenny, and if you ever need to vent, just let me know. It's a rough time of year for a lot of people, so know you are not alone and this, too, shall pass. Next thing you know it'll be Spring, then Summer, again.

I've cut weight a few times for other sports (jiu-jitsu mainly), and I would highly recommend losing the weight slowly and over a span of time rather than doing a water cut. I mean, if you're only doing a pound or two, a water cut really wouldn't be too hard, but you'll likely feel a bit depleted and fatigued - especially if it's your first water cut. Between now and May, you can easily lose that amount of weight even with a really conservative cut (like 250 less calories a day). You already know this - focus on protein to conserve muscle and bracket your workouts with a carb/protein snack. You got this! You should just sign up, for the first one: putting yourself out there is the win.
