Love it or hate, the crowd singing along with Joe Dart is how I discovered Vulfpeck. I saw a video of “crowd sings along with bass player” and I was like “that’s something you don’t see every day”. I’ve been hooked ever since. I love this band and Joe Dart is a beast!
Sets the whole vibe to the tune for me. Joe is a complete lunatic and Cory Wong might as well have a metronome in his right wrist, but them keys are it.

@@thelaffingllama Yeah, I know, I live there, hence I commented. One of the worst traits of Irish people. That and having absolutely no shame about having a loud conversation with their Mum on a packed train or DART.
You have succeeded as a composer if you can write an instrumental melody that complex and have a whole crowd spontaneously, joyously singing along to it. Woody must have felt AMAZING up on that stage.
Their timing is absolutely incredible, that cube is going at perfect BPM like a virtual metronome for us and they were with it the whole. damn. time. Amazing live performance.
There's a great video clip of Peter Gabriel doing Sledgehammer and the crowd singing the horn section... It must be some buzz to hear your crowd singing your own song back to you... wow.
Seems quite common for crowds in the UK and Ireland to sing/hum along to the music like that. My favourite example is of Franz Ferdinand at the T in the Park festival. ua-cam.com/video/M7Sv3XaX4ko/v-deo.html
I would say Argentinian crowds are the masters at singing along with or without lyrics, since years ago. It just seems like everyone in the audience is a musician :D
I think he has a jazz background, and perhaps formal music training. Part of that would be solfage (think Do Re Mi), learning to sing all notes as a reference to the root. I had jazz musician friends and most of the them sang along with what they were playing to some degree.
The future where a large crowd sings along to a complicated Jaco style line, drinking culture is definitely getting more cultured! Nice one the Irish!!
No bassist should have that much power. Too dangerous.
Wesley Nilsen it could burn the atmosphere.
True. Pastorius needed to be eliminated. No choice. Dart's on the list.
@@jas_bataille 😭😭😭😭😭

People who are singing a bass solo in a concert 30 years after Pastorius....Maybe can we save the planet ;)
You speak words of truth and hope sir!
Had the same thought exactly!
Naw B. We're fucked regardless. Good song tho
Yes, Irish people
They sang seven nation army guitar too...
Kick-ass live performance of that song. Don't know why the National Geographic kept trying to put their logo on it though.
It's a majestic natural phenomenon, Wayne!

I realize I'm quite randomly asking but do anybody know a good place to stream new tv shows online ?
@Aron Lionel flixportal =)
@Alden Ezra Thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service =) I appreciate it!
The Bass line with the Irish accent… Priceless…

Nicholas Bernardi why would you hate a Vulf
pollyboy12 I have no idea? They’re fantastic but some people hate when the crowd sings along with Dean Town, which I don’t get. I think it’s great.

I'm so happy I got front row at this concert... to be featured even in the background of a Vulf video is an honor.
I was at the back beside the sound desk. I was a pixel somewhere maybe..perhaps.
What band is playing?
-Bass player has sunglasses and groove
-Guitar player in striped shirt
-Lyrics are "Dadadadada"
Ohhh, it's Vulfpeck
Can I have Joe and Cory just follow me around all day and play my background music?
