I started my guitar journey with Neil Young, I had a few simple chord books, I think playing and singing together is a good way to learn.

Neil young and the Grateful Dead were the first bands I learned, and I agree if I don’t know the words to a song I have a hard time playing it.. if I know the words I can play pretty smooth… if I try to read the lyrics it’s a disaster I just work on trying to remember everything I play 😂 it’s getting harder the older I get 😂
