It must be the phones, I saw David at the Royal Albert Hall and the sheer power of his guitar sound really hit you, that doesn't come across in any video, the smart phones are probably limiting or compressing the audio, it was much louder in person than it appears.

@LearningGilmour Great question. Sorrow might just be one that few are aware of. In their defense I didn't discover until somewhat recently - a full 36 years after it was recorded on a CD I've owned for over 25 years. Only after reading a Top 20 best David Gilmour guitar solos story did I listen to Momentary Lapse of Reason more closely...

I always stretch my strings as much as I can more with the acoustic then the electric, because the acoustics fluctuate with weather more.. enjoy playing !

I don’t know about that, I haven’t heard, I know when I wasn’t able to go see Phish at a festival they were simulcasting it at the movie theater… that would be cool if they did something like that..

I saw the 10/30/24 show at the Hollywood Bowl and agree with you wholeheartedly. Fat Old Sun brought tears to my eyes and was my favorite part of the show.

Yea man I have a chest holder so it’s Hands free not looking through a screen and I have a black out that emits no light! It was an amazing night! The only song I didn’t get was Wish you were here.. I turned the recording off to pay honor to some lost friends and family for that song.. some things are best for those that were there.. 😁
