Hey man! I love these kind of videos. A friend of mine has an Lenovo IdeaCentre Gaming 5 and I would really like to help him make a piece of work like this, but I don't know if it is worth it...
Hmm it really depends whether it has proprietary parts, connectors, and what type of motherboard is in it. I havent tried it yet with a Lenovo unfortunately :/
yo man nice vid i wanna do something like that too.I have an optiplex 3080 sff and i wanna transfer the cpu ,ram, ssds on a new mobo and then put it in a case with a new psu.The cpu will work with the new mobo right? (i have an intel i5-10500 thx again
Just remember Turning Office PC to Gaming PC: SSD MUST not save all your data in that drive, or else you need to repair your self. Also you need to turn your data save location to the HDD drive. If switch the PC case to new one, you need to find the Office PC with I/O plate can take off
Love your videos man, but screw installing Windows 11. just install Linux Mint 22 and you would be set to go and ignore that stupid can't proceed with the installation if not network is recognized status. I am definitely going to be making the switch soon as well love the Acer build in the new case though. you can probably buy an adapter for the usb 3.0 front soldered headers to the USB 3.0 connection to the case. They shouldn't be too hard to find. and that dancing dude, everytime he shows up, he makes me laugh. good job man
Thank you! :D Yeah the switch over to Linux is VERY tempting, but game compatibility and base apps keep me on this side 🥲 I tried finding tha internal USB to 3.0 adapters, but havent had any luck finding one yet...
@@crimsontechyt it's easier now with Proton under Steam and which base apps? there are open source alternatives to those as well but the thing is, if you get a PC with an AMD CPU/GPU, they will be supported indefinitely cause of the amd drivers baked in the kernel. like you have said it yourself in the Win 11 sucks video, might as well start moving away from that spyware os and go where in reality your computer is yours
