@@dcfbf I thought it was a deliberate gag ... but I'm heavy into old video tech, I just love CCD sensors and standard definition and miniDV tapes, so of course I'll notice the one thing you didn't mention was my favorite thing :)
The memes aside, I'd kill for one of these. I need a really good laptop to handle old workloads and versions of linux and windows with said workloads. Can't get a desktop either since I have no room and can't sit for longer than 15min without being in screaming pain and its light enough and runs cool enough that my already destroyed back and hips won't be turned into dust and then turned to ash by the fans spewing molten lava.
Cool vid! I used to have an X61 but I guess someone else wanted it more. I ran Arch Linux on it with 4 Gb of RAM and a 128 Gb SSD for better performance. @@TanishqSharma-g5r Yeah you're right about that. The x61 specifically can have the x61t display put into it which is like a weird resolution like 1400 by 1050 or something and theres like a x62 mod that surfaced a couple of years ago which upgrades it to a 5th gen intel cpu. It’s a great laptop. The sad thing is that people are charging way too much for it.
Yeah I was lucky to be given two for free
I was lucky to combine 2 defective ones to 1 working one for like 30-40€ 💀

Thinkpads are ultra based.
that laptop might be small, full of ports and convenient in that ambit but it's not powerful and can't hold up with a basic task

I think the main reason the thinkpads are still famous is because they are easily moddable so people put new motherboards and displays in them so
