Other than Donald Trump, I do not think any of the other Presidential candidates on either the left or the right agree with his talking points. Vivek has done hundreds of hours of long-form podcasts and interviews. How do you rehearse these free-flow methods of communication?
Nikki Haley was charging $300,000 for speaking engagements after leaving her position at the UN and had a pre-determined script she would follow. That is what you call rehearsed talking points. I do not know how any intelligent, informed, unbiased person can listen to Vivek and think anything he says are rehearsed talking points. Vivek wants to reduce the size of the federal government by 50% on Day 1 by using the last digit of employees' social insurance numbers. He wants to end birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants. He said that America would defend Taiwan until we get semiconductor independence, after which point, we would resume our current One China Policy of strategic ambiguity. He is the only one calling out the genocide of Christian Armenians by Azerbaijan. He said that he would work with Putin to make a fair deal that would have Russia exit its military partnership with China while also protecting Ukraine's sovereignty. These are rehearsed talking points?
My take is he is stronger on domestic than foreign policy. He’s not shallow on the former. He might be shallow on the latter. Or at least naive.
@@kevinmcfarlane2752 The only people I have heard saying this are those that support the neoconservative and neoliberal interventionist perspective. Vivek's foreign policy aligns with that of most Americans, but there is still a section of society that wants to go back to the 2003 George Bush-era neoconservative viewpoint. I have a master's in international relations and a law degree and everything Vivek says about foreign policy is accurate.
He said we would need to make a peace agreement with Putin ages ago and people were laughing at home and calling him naïve. Fast-forward to today and we learn that Ukraine is losing the war and the Biden Administration and Europe are quietly pressuring Zelenskyy to make peace with Putin. We could have saved hundreds of thousands of lives and billions of dollars if we just followed Vivek's plan and made peace. That is where we are heading now. I know there are still Americans who think we should be supporting Ukraine, but the reality is that the war will be over within the year because the Biden Administration knows it will lose them the election if they keep supporting it.
Vivek's take on Israel and Taiwan are the best I have seen from any Presidential candidate. America should absolutely not be involved in the Middle East. We should defend Taiwan until we get semiconductor independence, after which point we resume our current One China policy of strategic ambiguity. China seizing control of Taiwan's semiconductor production before America has had a chance to become semiconductor independent would be disastrous for our economy and our modern way of life.
Im 60 years old , Vivek is exactly what we need right now , he has my vote.

I find him to be very evasive. That doesn't mean he doesn't show up I just feel like he's very evasive in the way he answers (or doesn't answer) questions. The biggest example for me is the way he answers questions about Trump, who he publicly criticized in the past but always seems to now backtrack and worm his way out of those questions now

One is authentic and open about his ancestry and faith, while also being patriotic and unapologetically embracing the core conservative values and constitutional principles at the foundation of America. By contrast, the other has glibly camouflaged her real identity, including her real name and ancestral religious heritage, obviously because of political imperatives of getting elected in a bible belt state. Like him or not on issues, but Vivek, a Summa Cum Laude from Harvard and a fellow with distinction from Yale Law, is a breath of fresh air.

This is said regularly (believe Megyn has said it as well) but I'm waiting for someone to provide actual examples of where Vivek has had a significant change in any of his policy positions. He clarified how he would handle China/Taiwan (saying he would move to strategic ambiguity after we are chip-independent) and that wasn't a change, just a clarification. Any examples that could be provided would be appreciated but I think it is an excuse to not like Vivek that is not based in fact.
