Loved the first time Potter asked “Why, Radar? Why that name?” Radar said, “It’s because I know things are going to happen before they happen.” And then suddenly, “Do you hear that?” Potter says, “What.” “Choppers,” Radar says, who then proceeds to run out the door alerting everyone. Potter is like, I don’t hear anything, then… the sounds of incoming choppers. It was just hilarious. And a good reason why Radar is named like he is.

      The first time:
      Potter: "Why 'Radar'?"
Radar (sheepishly): "Well sometimes I can tell what happens before it happens."
Potter :"Is that so..." (starts to walk out of the tent)
Radar: "Yes, Sir. The Officer's latrine is on your right, Sir..."
      Potter: (absently) "Thank you!"

I was a shadow clerk, and I used to do this to my 1SG and CO. I wasn't psychic. Pretty much all company information flowed through me, so it was pretty easy to anticipate. And, of course, I had friends at battalion who would keep me up to speed because it served their interests, too.
For example, the battalion commander might spend an afternoon briefing his company commanders on an upcoming exercise. The CO would return to brief his senior people. A platoon sergeant might ask me what was up, and I'd tell them before that meeting. How? Well, someone at battalion would have to read every word while typing up all those orders, right? And those people were happy to fill me in. It made everyone's jobs easier, and provided no shortage of really weird moments.
It's an old but useful habit. At a battalion reunion decades later, our former battalion commander forgot his room number and asked me if I knew it. I told him to look in his right front pocket, and he found it there scribbled on a paper slip. No magic - just me paying attention to details.

The first batch of coffee I brewed was officially approved by the CO and XO that told me it was definitely true that whoever made good coffee was going to be a good fit in HQ platoon. Being a platoon commander's driver and then 1st Sergeant's driver definitely had it's perks-my platoon commander told me that if anyone messed with me let him know-he'd destroy them because "You're MY driver."

Gary once explained that he came up with the idea of Radar wearing glasses and having poor eyesight way to explain his e.s.p. No wonder he quit the show.
Thanks for editing and posting this video, Kiah.

Not just that, but the whole reason he joined the army, (if you read the book, he was a pre-war volunteer, not a draftee), was cut away: He wanted to have nothing to do with the farm and an army career in a support position was exactly the way to get out.

I’m afraid I don’t remember most of them but I believe dear dad, Henry come home please, and germ warfare are three of them! Specifically dear dad is the one with Hawkeye thinking about Radar having ESP, Henry come home is the one with Frank, and germ warfare is the one where they’re talking about the blood and the “how can you be late when I don’t even know I want you”

I don’t mean to be mean but the term esp is literally mentioned. He answers the phone before it rings. He’s told to stop saying what people are thinking and acting on thoughts they haven’t had yet. I get why people don’t like the idea of it but ghosts exist in this show I think psychics are fine.

When my sister was little she would tell you who was calling when the phone rang, she was often right. Not psychic, adults talk around kids thing they are dumb as a pet, I the caller was just whoever was the most recent subject of discussions, helped that you had to be desperate to call my shithole of a household.

Being "psychic" requires attention to detail, a quick wit, proper resources, including the right connections, and excellent hearing.
You don't pick up radio or whatever from books in order to read them. You don't need some ethereal connection to pick up signals from someone else and read minds. Just like any book, just build up a contextual knowledge and pay attention to what you're reading and its application.
