I got mine two years ago. I love it. Built like a tank. I got the wood stock. Ran Tung oil on it, then a light luster varnish. I got the Zastava mount, fits it perfectly. I tried a red dot, but with astigmatism all I see is a blur. I swapped it out for the PA 3X prism sight. Awesome. Has etched reticle, occular focus, and it’s good for cqb and out to about 300 yards. My Zastava has run perfectly with everything I’ve run in it.
You can switch over the folding stock. That's the model I have and that was the first thing I did. Unbolt the folding mechanism from the stock and flip it over then unbolt the stock itself and flip it back right side up. So now I have the scope mount on and my stock folds to the right and you can still shoot folded.
Nice AKs! That Tiger Maple stock is amazing! I didn't know they had versions with that wood. On the folder, aren't the handguards and pistol grip on the M70 count as 2 USA made parts for 922r compliance? only asking because you replaced them with imported parts.. I believe also the original Zastava magazine is needed since it contains 2 parts. I wish Zastava would list which internal 10 parts are imported and which are USA made so I know what to swap out for USA made part in case I want to swap something out.

I got the XT version with the AR hand rail....OCCams defense wants $3000 for the same thing. Love Zastava for this!

With that rail are you able to utilize your irons with an optic at the same time?
No. That was the original hope, but even after ordering the the direct footprint mount for that optic it still wouldn’t cowitness.
