I managed to beat this game on my own as a kid, the way you keep what you find definitely makes it much easier. It's definitely not a good game, but I still enjoy playing it.
There was a Genesis game that was cancelled called Zombie High that this reminds me a lot of. I reviewed the Proto many years ago. I remember it being hard as hell. The ROM is out there.
Being unable to crouch seems like a problem. Though, playing as a punk defeating aliens, I would've loved this as a kid. Wonderful costume, by the way.
I think the aesthetic is just so cool, and I agree the premise is very neat. As an artist I dabbled a lot with game engines years ago trying to find one where I could really just make a simple platformer like this and focus on creating assets and characters... this kinda reminds me of that. You're videos are so fun! ❤
This is a tough video game. Monsters trying to kill you, thrash you, rip you to pieces. If you wanna make it in here, you really gotta know where your towel is.
There is a great 80s movie called Ghoul School. Nothing related to the game and it's zombie based (no aliens), but it's one of my favorite movies of all time. The atmosphere alone is phenomenal. Honestly there might be some inspiration from one or the other. The bouncing basketballs are accurate lol.
Hey Erin, I wonder in the monkey auto room. Where the wall you couldn’t get past. If you needed to take off your spring shoes? It looked like you could just squeeze underneath without them. Great vid, enjoy the spookiness.
We all have to agree that most of NES games got the "bricks" virus since Super Mario Bros. You can count by your fingers the games that don't have bricks on their design. Lol
Someone stole my zombies ate my neighbors game and left me the empty box. Someday ill find a copy of that for my box cuz box is in perfect condition. Loved that game
The holiday season is upon us again and Halloween is my favorite out of the entire lot. I've been binging all of your horror themed vids, Erin and I'm so glad to see a brand new one. Ghoul School is an interesting but quite frustrating game. I've never really put a lot of time into beating it but after seeing this vid I think I'll give it another try. 💀🧟🧟♂🧟♀
Man this game looks brutal. It's got that 80s highschool teen horror movie feel to it that I like, and would have made a great movie if made back then. Also, I know it would breach a license, but I like to imagine an 8 bit Freddy grabbing you from those TVs on the wall and saying, "Welcome to prime time, bitch!"
Liking the premise is sometimes all it takes to get into an obscure game. I know that feeling! I've enjoyed games that arguably are pretty bad simply because I really loved the concept behind them.
Very cool plus you can tell there's some possible Link2/Faxanadu/Monster Party influence here(as well as some other games too really)👍Monster party especially is great for the season right now🎃Sweet! 🎮
What a lovely shade of green! I think your description of this game is pretty accurate; it's not good, exactly, but there's something just fascinating about it. For me, I think it's all the little rooms that don't always have anything interesting or necessary, but act as weird little vignettes of sorts; I've always liked that sort of thing in games, but it's pretty rare, in my experience. I played through this at my sister's house once, but there's a lot I don't remember, including that weird auto shop with the monkeys.
Are you channeling a Sailor Neptune skeleton or are you a new member of Cobra Kai(the movie version of course)? I really like your cosplays, they're always great. Also this game looks like a pain in the ass more so than a bad game, it looks playable if you have patience, I like the music too.
I think I saw this game at my old "Play n' Trade", I never bought it. Honestly, the game's box art looks like it came right from a movie. In fact, I bet it would make for a fun PG horror comedy. As for the game itself, looks decent, probably gonna need a strategy guide though. lol
Saw the title card and a new costume and I never clicked so fast! Skeleton costumes are so underrated, and the game would have earned a few rentals at least! It gets points for not making the player start from scratch every game over
An excellent game for Halloween. I also love your outfit; the skeleton suit is a personal favorite, and the green wig brings it all together: good looking. Also I would love to see a lets play for Castlevania Order of Ecclessia. It is my top five of Castlevania games and I feel it is very slept on. Thank you for the videos; they never fail to bring a smile to my face.😄📺🎮🧛
Cool video I absolutely adore the costume Just thought I would let everyone know that amongst a lot of arcade titles I'm currently playing Moonwalker on the Genesis its quite good and challenging I had it on the Master System but always thought the Mega Drive version looked so much better and it is
This is one of those "so bad it's good" games. The main theme is a banger too! lol
oh we're in Erin's cosplay era now!
Never even heard of this! I agree, seems like a great premise for a game. I love all the random “horror” games on the NES
This is actually one of my favorite nes games even though it’s not great technically. It’s probably my earliest introduction to survival horror lol.
Love the costume Erin. Always enjoy you and mikes content. Never played ghoul school before ill have to try it on my emulator.
Thanks!
I managed to beat this game on my own as a kid, the way you keep what you find definitely makes it much easier. It's definitely not a good game, but I still enjoy playing it.
what a cool fantasy! It looks really good on you! This game is so funny, but I never had the patience to play it for a long time
I can just tell this was made by the same people who made the NES Simpsons games.
The outfits are getting cooler by the episode
Erin would make a great Kindergarten teacher.
As long as she doesn’t start swearing. To be honest, it would seem weird to me now if she didn’t.
Man this game was a frustrating but fun rental. I always wanted to beat it.
😊I played ghoul school at a neighbor's home I was 9 in 1993 it was fun to play
Erin is too ghoul for school.
There was a Genesis game that was cancelled called Zombie High that this reminds me a lot of. I reviewed the Proto many years ago. I remember it being hard as hell. The ROM is out there.
Oh sweet- I’ll have to look that up 👀
This game gives me Simpsons vs. Space Mutants vibes.
Being unable to crouch seems like a problem. Though, playing as a punk defeating aliens, I would've loved this as a kid. Wonderful costume, by the way.

It reminds me of Monster Party on the NES except not as good.
now i wish i rented this game back in the day. i had no idea it looked this good and fun.
0:15, Okay. Spike. Lol. ... that was a good laugh. Thank you. Carry on.
I love your costume Erin! You look amazing!
Thank you so much!!
Erin doesn't the one-eyed monster look like from Pee-wee's playhouse
This is a tough video game. Monsters trying to kill you, thrash you, rip you to pieces. If you wanna make it in here, you really gotta know where your towel is.

I love this! Never heard of this game. And love the hoodie. I def gotta get one like that
Wooh. I love these type of Halloween type games. I'll have to find this to play on my Pandora Box arcade machine!
Thanks for making this video! 😁
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this neat spooky review Erin!
It makes me wanna see how the rest of the game is. Seem like you always cover obscure retro games.
Dig the green hair my favorite color. Being a kid who grew up on NES I never played this one
"I don't even know how I found the gym!"
What I tell myself when I'm surprised with a gym membership bill I have no memory of signing up for!
Never heard of that game until i've been watching Little Mixer playing it. Am... you did it well.
What a COOL costume you're wearing. 😋
Lol
This is a PERFECT concept for a B-movie.
Love ur vids specially ur scary video game ones ❤ they're so wholesome 😅
I would LOVE a MetroidVania of thr 1979 film Phantasm, or more so the sequels playing as Reggie. With Dimensional forkway would be map teleporters
I'm having flashbacks to when I first unlocked Reptile and Jade in Mortal Kombat. It's not easy being green, but you make it work, ghoul(girl).
Zombies Ate My Neighbors is one of my all-time favorite games! I could never get my hands on this one. :)
Oops! I was thinking of Ghoul Patrol! Never mind! :)
Someone stole my zombies ate my neighbors game and left me the empty box. Someday ill find a copy of that for my box cuz box is in perfect condition. Loved that game
Its a sequel to zombies but wasnt as good but still both were fun
It does look like an addicting game. The 1st part looks like a major slog, though!
Love your green hair!
Ghoul School made Erin a fool. That rhymed

I need some Halloween content in my life rn
Awwww Erin that's soo adorable I love it!
awesome ghoul school video erin!!!!!!!!
I like your bones. They didn't have this one anywhere I rented games and I never heard of it back then.
This reminds me of Bart vs Space Mutants.
I would simply transfer out of the ghoul school.
That would be the logical thing to do, but logic doesn't always work here on Erin Plays.
Dude I loved that game wish I still had it.
It makes me want to try it again I played this a couple times but was unsure where to go and what to do so I didn't get far
Hypnotic music in this one
Never even heard of this game. Probably would have loved it as a kid
Very cool plus you can tell there's some possible Link2/Faxanadu/Monster Party influence here(as well as some other games too really)👍Monster party especially is great for the season right now🎃Sweet! 🎮

"That's the Goal." In Ghoul School. Wait, now I'm confused.
Love the costume. Great video, as you always do
There's a recent indie game called Tres-Bashers which totally gives off a similar vibe.
The design is giving a huge Bart vs. The Space Mutants vibe.
What a lovely shade of green! I think your description of this game is pretty accurate; it's not good, exactly, but there's something just fascinating about it. Great costume Erin! I would play this game too
I like how you cosplayed for Ghoul School on Nes Erin 😊😊
It always makes my day when I learn about a game I never knew of as a kid.
Awesome green hair
This game kinda reminds me of European-developed PC platformers because of all the puzzle solving elements.
Anyone getting Bart vs. the Space Mutants form this game?
Wet towel as weapon. Nice one!
Lookin' like a fool in tha Ghoul School! LOL.
FANTASTIC as usual, rockin costume choice as well! yay for Spoopy Month
Erin’s too ghoul for school 👻🤓
looks like a game that would require the instruction manual
I truly love Erin! ❤❤ just makes the best videos ever!
Adorable costume. :)
Omg you're so cute! Happy Halloween y'all!
The weather is overcast and perfectly spooky!
In the "wrench monkeys" room, you should've removed the spring shoes. Then you would've been able to go under the car elevator.
Yeah I realized that once I was editing it, lol. Oops! I'll have to try again.
This game seems like a Zelda 2 rom hack.
A punk saving a cheerleader seems weird but I'm glad a punk is the hero Character
This game actually seems pretty ghoul
Are you channeling a Sailor Neptune skeleton or are you a new member of Cobra Kai(the movie version of course)? I really like your cosplays, they're always great. Also this game looks like a pain in the ass more so than a bad game, it looks playable if you have patience, I like the music too.
Complimentary hair!
…or she’s hoping the color will remind Elmo less of fire…
I think I saw this game at my old "Play n' Trade", I never bought it.

I've never played that one and it doesn't look like a bad game but the director was definitely a Zelda II fan 😁
OK, this game is so obviously running on the Bart vs the Space Mutants engine it's crazy.
Thank you for the great video! Cool costume too! Happy Halloween!
Are those suppose to be "grease monkeys" lol
It's Franken ERIN!! 💚💚💚💚
Holy moly, Erin, you are all skin and bones! You need to eat TWO burgers tonight, Doctor's orders!
😊❤😊great nes game i got up to the weight room couldn't beat it
yes spooky season!
Saw the title card and a new costume and I never clicked so fast! Skeleton costumes are so underrated, and the game would have earned a few rentals at least! It gets points for not making the player start from scratch every game over
Hitting the TV gives you health lol
I was thinking of someone else with Green hair and a Pinstripe Suit anyway Hi Erin
Dude she’s just as fake as zap Cristal lol
Love the green hair 😊
Keeping with the theme, have you done Ghost Manor for the TG16?
No I haven’t yet.
@ErinPlays As you likely know it is a weird little game.
An excellent game for Halloween. I also love your outfit; the skeleton suit is a personal favorite, and the green wig brings it all together: good looking. Thank you! And I haven't played that Castlevania game yet but I will eventually :)
That's a Great Looking Outfit Erin such a Beautiful Costume I Love it.
That game looks cool 😅😂😂😂
Yeah, interesting concept, but the controls look stiff. You don’t seem to be able attack and move away from enemies as you might so in other games.
Funny when I started watching the video I noticed the thumbs up counter is at 666.
Love the hair!
love the hair
Looks needlessly tideous
Cool video I absolutely adore the costume Just thought I would let everyone know that amongst a lot of arcade titles I'm currently playing Moonwalker on the Genesis its quite good and challenging I had it on the Master System but always thought the Mega Drive version looked so much better and it is
Love your Costume Erin.
