Man! To think of the progression over the past years to this point. Noel, you have taught me so mu about surfing and surfboards and to see it culminate to this point: A Noel Salas/Surf'N"show twin fin model. I feel like I have been a part of something (in a very tiny way). Proud of your achievement Noel! 🤙👍☝☝☝☝
The Dark Twin is not a True Twin fin as it is designed to shred with a stabilizer. You can ride the Dark Twinn as a pure twin fin but it doesn't have the hold and drive the Deuce has mainly because of fin box positioning. Both boards are epic.... if you want pure Twin Fin FUN then go Deuce... if you like a Twin + Trailer better then go Dark Twinn.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 Thanks Noel, that’s super useful. I liked the Flat Earth as a full twin so if the fin box position is the same as on the FE as the Dark Twin??….then a full twin on the DT would work for me I recon….
Nailed it coach !! Thank you so much for your devotion and passion ! I' mean who can not go out and try out a twin fin board after this epic show ! Oh I got a question by the way With your experience in customizing boards Do you think I can get this board customized into more groveley dims ? cheers ! will the concaves be discussed in another episode ?
Hi Noel, love the videos. I am sure the bottom contours are different, but the outline is reminiscent of the somewhat new CI Free Scrubber. I am sure you have surfed that board. What are the main differences you feel / felt between these two performance twin fins?
The Free Scrubber does not have a performance outline. It’s wide point looks to be in front of center and it’s a Vee bottom. The wide point in front of center promotes carving and its wider nose will hinder tighter arcing turns. The Vee bottom of the Free Scrubber will have good rail engagement but it will be considerably slower then the Deuce’s rapid entry single concave bottom. The Deuce will out perform the F Scrubber in the pocket in vertical surfing.
Hey Coach just got my custom Deuce , thanks to you ! Can wait to get it in the water ! 🙏 I got 2 questions please , Will I be good with the T1 Alpha fins for now ? ( untill my cousin ships your HP twin fins from the US ?) and as for the tail pad, shoulld I pace it all the way the back on the deck ?
This is epic Noel, thank you for the amazing work you do. You put so much heart and care into everything you create here, not to mention a lifetime of dedication and experience. I am super grateful! I've been wanting to try a twin fin for a while, so want to try order this board. My normal shortboard is 23.5L, I weigh 58kg / 128 pounds, 176cm / 5ft9. What size would you recommend? Or would you recommend getting something custom so it is not as short as like 5'2, but still in the right volume range? I would use it mostly as a daily driver. Thank you! 🙏 Also curious how this board would compare to the Flat Earth if you have a chance to comment.
Sounds like you gotta go custom. Length wise… maybe talk to Rusty and go about 5’5” or 5’6” max. The FE is not a true twin fin… it really goes best as a twin + trailer.
Hi Noel, how is ur hip going so far ? Pain, Mobility ? Im just interessted because im a sports therapist ! What are ur thoughts of the pepper twin in Twin Tec, will it be good for smaller waves too maybe averge 2-3 foot ? And what about 3-6+ pumping surf ? I surf in indo most of the time ! And should i stick to my dims or go up a bit ? By the way thx for the advice of the holy grail still epic after 4 years
Hip is feeling good. Still working on flexibility and scar tissue but getting better. The Deuce is way more versatile and offers more performance in the pocket compared to the Peppa Twin. The Peppa Twin likes a wave with some push. The Deuce has a better wave range at 2-6’+ surf. The Deuce is not a Groveler…. It’s not good in 1-2’ mushy surf but it will hold its own in 2’ surf with a little push to well overhead waves.
I like riding thrusters but they have just become a little boring in everyday waves give me a twin fin or a 2+1 any day I'm back to riding boards closer to what I grew up with I've being through the mid length thing which are OK but a good old twin fin brings real joy and excitement.
Noel, not being "jaded" here because I love my twin fins and I appreciate your testing, but the comparison there is a stringered board that presumably has an outdated wood type stringer... to a stringerless board. Absolutely there will be a major difference in the flex, pop, and "explosiveness". The foam densities are probably different as well. A more accurate comparison would be putting two stringerless shapes side by side, same foam densities, with the non carbon model using a carbon insert along the bottom as the spring, or both sides if required. The community could gain a greater understanding of the ride characteristics and be more informed by your efforts! Apples to apples or whatever regardless of durability. Also, from what I've seen, the full carbons are still denting badly underfoot and getting creases up front. One favor for me? Do the Deuce in EPoly and EPoxy with same densities/stringers/glass and give the community another option to consider! Rusty seems to like the EPoly. Cheers!
What do you say about starting to EXPOSE boards famous shapers that are producing thier boards in Thailand factories and charging the same amount of money ,and printing made in the USA, made in Australia and so on
Not sure my comments about these types of things are relative to our channel. I do my best to review boards from the biggest brands to help as many surfers worldwide. Sorry… not going to open that can of worms here on our show.

Noel ripping the hinges off!
Looking quick, responsive, snappy & yet holding rail!!!
Board looks sick underfoot!
In the pool & in the ocean!🤙
Yewww!! Thank you for the kind words. The Deuce is next level fun. Cheers

Noel super informative , entertaining and what better to watch after a good surf. And once again Mad Max killing it! East Coast roots 👊🏼!
East coast roots ?! Wow ! Jersey boy here :) , really glad to hear that!
Looks AMAZING!
Best twin fin from my mission is the Bushman Flow model ........ Hands down best board EVER!
i switched to twin. lost rnf. i cant surf anything else anymore. This channel pushed me into that. after 20 years of thruster. thanks guys.
The RNF is so fun. Stoked for you
Looks good, Noel.
🤙🏼I’ve been riding a similar board for many years with a trailer as I’m heavy back footed. Hard to ride anything else since. Magic.
What a show Noel! Insanely good👏🏾….how does the Deuce compare to the Aipa Dark Twin?

Yes.. you can dial custom dimensions with Rusty to make Grovel better too

Only downside of this review is you gave me more admin work to do: i had to put "like" to the 3 video parts 😂
Sorry for over working you bro.... Ha!!
@@surfnshowreviews7777 pleasure bru, can t wait fornthis model to land in Europe
I know you won't ride mid lengths but the mid strength has that hooked concave in the back giving it drive like the rusty 🤙

The T1 fins are a bit small… so the board might slide out a bit. Put the pad all the way back.
@@surfnshowreviews7777 thank you for your reply Noel ! I’ll keep you posted , once I get it in the water ! 🙏🏽

Will the black model be available in Australia ??
Maybe at some point. Check with the folks at Rusty Australia and Surfboard Empire.
I'm sure you have a lot already planned and set up for 2023 and the summer is over but maybe next year consider a best of for twin fins?
that would be epicccc !
This board shape looks a lot like the new slater Great White Twin
Are you gonna review the peppa twin by chilli surfboards, Noel?
Yes
Hi, I would love to buy one. Low intermediate, 1,88m and 85kg. What’s size should I prefer?
Your volume range is around 37-39L. So check out the 6’4” or 6’5” stock sizes.
Hi Noel! Can a twin fin go with a sweet potato?
You mean as a two board quiver? Absolutely yes
Hey Noel, tossing up between Epoly or Dark Arts…what would you recommend for the ocean in 6 foot plus surf?
For bigger waves I say XTR or Epoly
@@surfnshowreviews7777thanks mate Epoly it is!

Get similar volume to your Daily Driver.
Trestles is still pretty gutless even when overhead
Yes, it can be
