I think you're both very brave. It's a shame you had to leave SA because it's so beautiful with fantastic weather but in terms of friendliness, Ireland's a good place to be. I lived in Cape Town for 2.5 years and I found it very cliquey, very hard to make friends. All the best :)
South Africa is a beautiful country and will always be home to us 🥰 we are very lucky that we have been so welcomed that Ireland now feels like our second home 🥰
All I can say is, well done! Both of you have progressed so much, you should be proud of yourselves. You're a lovely couple and a great addition to Ireland. Best wishes for the future.
I'm emigrating to Cork, Ireland in 1 month from Pretoria. Your videos have given me a great idea of the life and lifestyle, and the ups and downs of moving to Ireland. Thank you for sharing your journey :) Please keep posting!
It’s natural to have ups and downs having moved to a very different country to your native one. I’m an emigrant myself and after twelve years, I still wonder if it was the right thing to do, even though objectively I know it was. Yourself and Kade seem like a great addition to our country and I hope that you will continue to explore and enjoy it for many years to come. PS: it will eventually stop raining ;)
Glad you've mostly enjoyed your stay so far. There are loads of things we moan about here, and loads of things that need fixing, bit in reality we have it fairly good compared to many. Hope you continue to enjoy new experiences, and meet new and ( hopefully friendly) people.
Man😭, I really related to how you said your heart is in two places, it is so true! I think about my family every day and it is just one of those things that comes with being an expat. My one year anniversary in Ireland is next week. Well done on your journey so far!🍀🍀🍀
Fairplay to you!!! I can’t believe it’s been two years. I think having your sister so close is wonderful and it seems like you’ve made so many good friends, Irish, and other South African’s. Look forward to following your journey when you move into the new Teach at the end of the year
Here's one of those people that watch your videos and envisions what life is like in Ireland. Thank you for sharing your experiences with such simplicity and honesty, without exaggerating the good and hiding the bad. Me and my partner are dreaming/planning our move to Ireland and your videos have been SUPER useful. Thank you and lots of love from Argentina
Our eldest son went to australia one year ago it can be hard on everyone but he is doin well and lovin life but do miss the big lug walkin in the door😅

Started watching your videos when I was still in SA. Just made the move to Dublin and it is so worth it.

Moved to Ireland a number of years ago.I can honestly say that except for family I miss very little about the country I was born in.
