Got rid of that front tire within first 100 miles. Went a bit extreme and put a 130-80-12 on it, sure smoothed out the ride, nice to feel the rubber soaking up the bumps. Stock tire was too harsh, no bump absorption.
Thanks for posting this tip.. I may get a Roaghhouse.. I need a smooth ride.. Two questions.. 1) do you still ride and like it your Roughhouse?? and 2) why not whip a 130-80-12 on the back too.. wouldn't that smooth out the ride even more??
@@howlingwolf125y still riding and liking the roughhouse. It's a good buy. I did just purchase the same tire for the rear, but haven't yet installed. I try to get wear out of rear tire since they wear so much faster. Fronts I change if I don't like regardless of wear, since they last so long.
For the 2-stroke engine oil, you can use any JASO “FD” Certified oil. Look for the “FD” on the bottle. We sell Motul for this application. For the gear oil, you can use any quality 85w-140 gear oil. The Genuine oil product is fine too, but there are multiple producers of oil that meet the standards that Genuine requires. We sell Motul, Motorex, Bel Ray, and Maxima because they are the actual producers of the oil, as well as the retailers.
im in hawaii, i love my roughouse, i jetted it and put the sport pipe on it. I got ran off the road a week ago, crashed hard...the only damage is my handle bars ar slighly cocked right and im sure if i get in thier i could make it straight if i tried at the triple tree.

Did you have 10's previously? I just saw that the newer Roughhouse base models now come with 12's.

Is there a gas cap you can buy without having to replace everything, the shop trying to sell me on that I don't believe it.
The store I bought this from said only put Genuine brand motor oil. Is this true? Could I use another brand of oil?
