Unfortunately, Prof Christensen didn't really purpose a tangible solution in this talk. And he also didn't give enough example of the current disruptive innovation in healthcare that already taken place and give an analytical approach to it. It seems to me, at the moment of speaking, Prof. Christensen hasn't yet able to pinpoint exactly how the disruptive innovation can play its significant role in healthcare. To address the disruptive innovation in healthcare will be faced by multiple barriers which not exist in conventional business model. For one, healthcare system is based on altruistic approach rather than a single proposition of "creating profit". 2nd. Healthcare providers as oppose to traditional business providers are challenged to address patient's needs rather than creating the needs. However, atleast in this talk, Prof Christensen does underline two ways to focus upon on how to tackle the current healthcare problem in relation to cost and access which are: a. Changing the business model by focus on maintaining health; and b. Changing the reimbursement model. Unfortunately, these two are not strange for healthcare stakeholders/providers. We aware of the problems and what way to approach it, however, the next big question is:"HOW"? *Big fan of Prof. Christensen, thank you for the upload (from Indonesia with love).

So, he's suggesting disease specialization (solution shops) along with democratization of medical services (via technology)?
Excellent talk.
