Both of my parents were addicts, then I grew up in foster care from age 5 until 18. I also used to visit my mom in jail. By the time I "aged out" of foster care, both my parents were dead. I had no one. Statistically I should have ended up in jail, addicted, homeless, or dead. I am none of those things. Hey Ang...thanks for watching, and inspiring me with your story. LOVE to see people overcome situations that easily could have destroyed them. Keep thriving, and continued resilience to you as you do!
Ang Ro Actually you were not destined for the streets or the other things due to your childhood. Yes, it was rough and I feel for you, but the addiction and homelessness you speak of is the result of your brain and body reacting to hands on abuse, not because you were placed in care.
@@charleshunt9961 Your speech is amazing, I have also childhood trauma which left me broken. Finally I have gathered my strength to see a trauma therapist this week. Your story is powerful! You made me believe I can heal my childhood trauma and I can overcome this too. Thank you so much Charles!!
I am at my lowest and I came across this unexpectedly amazing talk. If you could bounce back and rise from the horrible situation you were in, I see no reason why I can't. Thank you for sharing your story, Charles, thank you...
You're very welcome...I shared mine for people just like you who are currently going through. There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why you can't thrive, and not just in spite of, but precisely BECAUSE of what you've experienced. Blessings and support to you as you keep pressing forward! You CAN and WILL!
I’m 29. I just discovered what mental illness is last night. The connection I had to it. I went on a scizo binge that lead to homelessness about 6 months ago. Little did I know I was subconsciously chasing my own healing. I was willing to loose everything to just sit and meditate and learn to love myself. All the ways mental health is connected to abuse and know one helped me. Im shocked at the ignorance and unsupport of my family. I’ve asked for help so many times in my life and after 29 years I’m the only one helping me. I learned to love myself more than anyone. I want to live, and to love, and feel unshaken and inspire others. I’m proud of you all who are fighting this on your own. Keep doing that. Hurt people hurt people. But healed people heal people. Peace is closer than we think, we are all worthy of purpose
Mdogg, How are you now ? In life there are only 2 problems--mind and the body. Be careful what you feed your mind. To feel better reduce negative thoughts and overthinking. Avoid comparing with others, reduce negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed, avoid moving too much and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Never meditate with expectations but with awareness. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Observe your breath sensations before sleep, in college, at work, taking a walk, when reading, etc.etc. Doing public speaking courses will build your confidence. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a better life. Best wishes--Counsellor.
I’ve heard the phrase “hurt people, hurt people” many times, but never the corollary, “healed people, heal people”. That is very encouraging for me personally, thank you.
@@charleshunt9961 "Life doesn't adhere to any delivery windows" - so true. I believe the dictionary has the wrong definition of resilience.. it talks about snapping back to where you were before. It seems that it takes you to new heights and doesn't take you back. I'm posting your talk wherever I can. thank you!
"Sometimes we need to tell ourselves what to think when our mind starts telling us things that we don't need to hear: that you can and will overcome and succeed, and not just in spite of, but precisely because of. That with the proper perspective and a positive attitude, we have POWER." 🔥🔥🔥🔥
WOW... I've listened to a lot of TEDx Talks, and this one is one of the most real, most valuable monologues I've heard. This man doesn't just share, he teaches. He encourages is a realistic way. He tells it like it is, and doesn't make excuses. He empowers others to learn how to overcome by sharing how he overcame, and he forewarns that it will not be easy, that it may be excrutiatingly painful, and that it is ultimately up to us to use positive self-talk even when we don't believe it ourselves. He reminds us that it is ok to reach out and ask for help. This is not the happily-ever-after that so many TEDx Talks speakers churn out. This is neither narcissistic, nor "poor me". This is not the extreme bipolar thinking that life's answers are cut and dried, black and white, good and bad. This is about the reality of the shades of gray that lie between the polar extremes. This is real. This is inspiration while remaining grounded in reality. This is encouragement while preparing people to keep in mind that it will not come easy or instantaneously or when you need it to happen. We should all be so lucky to have a friend, family member, trusted colleague, mentor or advisor who teaches what it means to be resilient, and that you have to believe regardless of how difficult that might be. This is the opposite the instant-gratification advice that so many people seem to believe and be seeking out.
I'm absolutely humbled at your insightful, thoughtful, and detailed response. Thanks for filling my bucket today and reminding me that my trauma continues to have a purpose in helping others live, do, & be better! Continued blessings to you.
Awww...kind of you to respond. I'm so glad that my comments helped to fill your bucket today, as your words certainly fill mine each time I re-watch this video. Many continued blessings to you, as well~
@@charleshunt9961 You are a phenomenal man, take your place with Maya Angelou and walk that walk. I was so moved by your wonderful inspirational speech. Write that book please, for all of us who are out here. As a man you have so much to say to others who are still struggling to raise their heads after a day a week a life of being down and not having the strength to get up. For all those of us who work in this field this video is one to watch daily.
@L C Thank you for your kind words. I'm not a writer. I was very fortunate to be born with a brain that is rather intelligent, learns information easily, and can articulate thoughts and ideas fairly clearly. In addition, I was born with excellent hearing and 20/10 vision in both eyes, so it helped my brain develop better than most. I feel very fortunate in this regard.
How interesting! ...just as I laid my eyes on your comment, the video was at the timeline of Charles pausing to speak this very line. I see THAT as powerful!, too. Powerful synchronicity. Happy New Year to you, El! May you enjoy a beautiful life, being very resilient during the challenging times, remembering your light and beauty and what you must tell yourself no matter the darkness you encounter on your path - be it real or imagined/feared/anticipated darkness that comes from the sometimes overwhelmed and very weary mind.

@@charleshunt9961 thanks Charles. You're a great example for all who have faced ceaseless adversity - neglect, abuse, codependency, personal failures, disabilities in two kids, among others. I am 46 and successful but things unraveled for me over the past 5 years. Broke down mentally, lost my marriage plus all that come with that. Siblings seized opportunity to disrespect and abuse me emotionally. I look back and realize that I am stronger than I ever thought of myself. I am strong, I am brave, I am lovable and capable of loving. It may have taken over 40 years to be able to assert myself, but I now know the remainder of my journey through life would be better than my past. Your talk reaffirms this Charles, thank you.
I was sitting here alone on the anniversary of a major trauma looking for a distraction while my children were at school and I was watching something completely different and this came up in my suggested. Thank god it did. You have a story. You have a voice. You are resilience. Congratulations. And thank you for giving back.
It's ridiculously gratifying to see God move through something I created. I'm honored that you not only watched and enjoyed it but that it came at the right time. Sending you prayers and best wishes as you recover from your trauma, and thrive BECAUSE of it! Thank you for blessing me with your comment and light.
Hello brothers and sisters. I would just like to recommend that everyone read the book ‘Raising Warriors: Preparing Your Children For a Godly Life’. Reading that book was the best desicion I ever made.
i just got diagnosed with ACEs recently and scored a 10, and because of my childhood I have depression, anxiety, and PTSD. This video reminds me during my saddest depressive episodes that i’m strong AF, i’ve accomplished a lot despite what i’ve experienced in life, and to keep going cause there’s so much more of life to see. thank you❤️❤️
This was nothing but a college psychology assignment link that I almost thought about not watching until I decided to watch it and this is one of the best sources of motivation that I needed to receive especially currently me being 22 years old. Im not going to dive into any of my childhood trauma but the trauma is definitely there and this mans testimony has been the encouragement I needed to hopefully get through the rest of my last year in college as it has been a struggle for me mentally and emotionally. Thank you so much Mister for this video.
ppl say not to compare traumas & all but i hear stuff like this; they’re right we don’t have to compare traumas, but we don’t have to determine ours be the worst of them all n just completely stop from growing. love resilience, love discussing it, love hearing examples of it. we’re stronger than we give ourselves credit for.
Hey Anita...you're very welcome! Your trauma has a purpose, and while hope is what keeps your eyes focused on a better future it's resilience that keeps you on the path towards it. Keep going! Sending you blessings and continued resilience on your path.
Charles Hunt, As a behavior specialist, I've been studying trauma based care for a few months now, but this is the first time within the framework that someone has said use the trauma/experience as a stepping stone. One of my favorite scriptures speaks to what you shared: "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory," II Corinthians 4:17. T Thanks for sharing this in real time and very tangible talk.
Trev WIlliams 💜love this scripture!!!!! Thank you for the reminder of His Words bc this soooooooooo applies to my present! May God continue to bless you!
I come from the same type of life as you. I scored a 10 on the ACES test and i work with high risk youth in a group home and i think ill show this to them tonight. Nice work brother no one knows how hard it really is to come back.
And I thought my 7 of 10 ACE's was bad! My heart goes out to you for your experiences as a child, but it also praises you for your resilience and continued hope for a better future! I'm in awe of and happy for you, and even more impressed by your willingness to help others in group homes experiencing childhood trauma. I recognizing you giving your trauma a purpose too. Thanks for sharing my talk with them and lmk how I may be able to assist. Blessings to you!
Thank you...keep pressing forward. The faster we're able to come to terms with what has hurt us the less power we give it. It's not easy, but it's necessary. Sending you love and support as you move from surviving to thriving!
"Sometimes we need to tell ourselves what to think, when our mind starts telling us things we don't need to hear. That you CAN and WILL overcome and succeed, not just in spite of, but precisely BECAUSE of. That with the proper perspective and with a positive attitude, we have POWER." wow
It's especially difficult for low income, first generation students but you're absolutely correct that we can overcome the challenges. Thanks a bunch for watching/sharing!
Not in spite of, but because of. Perspective sometimes requires partnership. Sometimes all the strength you need is the strength to ask others for help. Thank you, keep standing in the light of your truth. Ashe.
Was suffering physical anxiety today and this video has helped me to ease up a bit. Damn I wish I could comfort that little boy and take him away from those pains. I was lucky in that I had a ‘safe’ childhood. It’s the adulting that came to smack me in the face. I pray we all find some strength inside and some healing 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I was in a car accident, paralyzed, lost everything, and this is my story of how I used it to make myself a better person, I hope this inspires someone who needs it. I wrote it after I got out of hospitals, learning to walk again and more, so I wrote this the first Thanksgiving after I started my recovery. As I sit here in my almost paid off house with my dog and cats relaxing from washing my car and motorcycle, I came across this that I wrote over 3 years ago. I think if there is ever a time to repost it, it is now. I hope someone out there going through the same gets inspired to "keep on, keeping on" as I did and reaps the benefits later on. so here it is... I'm Thankful for Nothing this Thanksgiving. Yes, during this time we are supposed to reflect on all that we do have, I am grateful most of all for "Nothing". See I have had pretty much everything in life, marriage, children, a career I loved doing and would have done for free and gladly so. I had nice homes, cars and the rest. I always thought I was doing okay, not as good as some, but darn sure better than a lot, for sure. Well all that changed a little over a year ago. I was a Patient Care Liason at a hospital and had taken a part time weekend job to help with child support after a divorce. I drove a taxi on weekends and they gave me a cab with bad tires, which blew out going around a bend on the highway at 300am, and then I found the seat belt and airbag didn't work, the part when I went through the windshield and fractured 9 vertebrae, 7 ribs, and lacerated my kidney and spleen, was something I'd rather forget but made me paralyzed from chest down until I had surgery to fix it. Then again 5 months in rehab learning to walk again wasn't a walk in the park either. I couldn't leave the hospital so why I was gone my apt got broke into and ransacked, not once but twice and everything I owned was gone. I couldn't report to work for a while, so after 30 days my job was gone, my insurance and benefits were gone, and my car left soon after as well, so all I owned was my hospital equipment, and my little trailer I had just got before my accident. I had no money, no food, no electricity, no gas. My pipes were frozen and burst, but my water was off anyway. It was late January 24 degrees outside, and I had no fridge, stove, or even a microwave. Just an ice chest. It took me over 2 hours to walk the quarter mile to the store. I was in a lot of pain and couldn't even afford ibuprofen, let alone toilet paper. I decided to donate plasma and got enough for cat food and a few non-food essentials and finally got a meager amount of food stamps for food. I had to wear this huge clamshell back and neck brace 24 hours daily, First night I was home I tried to stay warm with my 2 cats and a blanket, then I realized my place had gotten infested with bedbugs and fleas. I will spare you the details but then was when I met my friend...'Nothing." I will spare the details, but after going to places like the Mission to get a couple of shirts, and pants, and food banks to try to get something more to eat, I adapted. I learned to enjoy the little pleasures in life. A piece of candy, a can of Coke, having actual toilet paper. washing clothes in the bathtub, and drying them on a clothesline. A warm blanket, and a pillow, candles to read by and time to read my Bible, and understand it like never before. So now despite all the things I use to have, that I took for granted, the things I didn't have anymore taught me how to be humble, to appreciate having hot and cold running water, a toilet that flushes. A heater in the winter, and a air conditioner and fan in the summer. A stereo, a TV, a car that runs and is legal. Clean clothes, Being able to go to Taco Bell and get what I want off the dollar menu, anytime. Who I have to thank for these things besides God, (who was always with me, and kept me going and focused the entire time), is "Nothing." You see you can never understand what it's really like to be in pain that's almost unbearable, or not have anything to eat, or no heat in the winter, or sweating in the summer with no AC or fan, or even waiting in line for hours for a bag of food, you have no way to even cook, or store... unless you have been there. I thought I understood and appreciated how tough these things must be and are, until I went through them,. So thanks again, "Nothing"... for helping me appreciate life, and all the simple, yet necessary things one too often overlooks. Thank you "Nothing"... for showing me what others really have to go through, and to be more compassionate with them and to them. Thanks "Nothing"... for taking me to a place I needed to be, so I could really appreciate life, the people in mine, and making me want to do anything I can to help my fellow man or woman going through what I did, without judging them, or their circumstances. You know we have very few friends out there who will do or tell you something they already know your not going to like, but they do it anyway, because they know it's going to be better for you and make you a better person in the long run. The Bible teaches us to always look for the reason behind out trials and tribulations, and to learn from them. I wouldn't have traded what I went through for anything. It changed me as a man, a person, and a human being, all for the better. So this Thanksgiving, has probably been the best one ever for me. For that, I gratefully, and Humbly, give thanks... to "Nothing", thanks to you for teaching me how important it is to be thankful... for Everything!
@refuge33 Many thanks for shearing your story, It's helping me. I wish you the best. You are a great person and I'm glad your little furries were with you at that time

Great voice & powerful message! I also suffered great loss as a teenager, losing both my parents by age 15. Yet, here I am working at a high school helping at risk youth. Once they tell me their stories and I mention how resilient their are, their whole demeanor changes. They become empowered! My faith saved me, as well as reading Wayne Dyer and others who helped me realize, that while I don't control what happens to me I do control my reactions. Our thoughts are powerful!
Not gonna lie I'm crying my eyes out. I thank you for giving me affirmation that I can do this. That my trauma will someday help someone else's Truman. Exactly why I'm getting my degree in psychology. Thank you a million times over. Your voice told me everything my head's has been telling me.
I am at a loss for words. Your ted talk has really made me think and put my own life into perspective. This last year has been the roughest I have ever had to face, however hearing your story I’m realizing each day how strong I am from being where I was, where I am in this present moment and in my future. Thank you for sharing your story and showing that not matter what obstacles or hardships you may come across you’re still standing. Truly commendable!
Hey Kat...I am honored and humbled that my path has helped you affirm your own strength! That is so dope, and truly makes me smile! Thanks for encouraging me, and I'm sending you nothing but love and courage as you continue to be stronger than what life throws at you! All the best.
Charles, you are a remarkable and resilient human being! You articulate the trauma that happened to you with such understanding and pain, and yet such healing. And your healing from it is a gift to us so we can learn from you. Thank you for sharing your message with all of us. You plant seeds under trees you may never sit. I hope that you will continue to speak to what protective factors in your life supported your resilience and how important they were and are in your life and in the lives of our children who face significant adversity. And I hope you continue to talk about how your protective factors help ameliorate and mitigate the risk you faced. Your are such a gift to us. Your message is one of the most important we can teach the world.
A lifetime of trauma + 14:21 that sparked hope in resiliency for thousands, and will continue to do so. Your words are gold. But the real gift is you. Thank you for spreading the message that our traumas don't need to hold us as victims.

Hi Charles, I have shown your amazing video to my freshman nursing students in their "Trauma Informed Care" class as part of their "Healthy Lifestyles" course over the past few years at Temple University. No matter how many times I watch this video, I am still amazed at all you have conquered in your life and I shed a tear. I hope you are doing well and know that others are appreciative of sharing your story! I am positive you have helped so many people with your struggles in this journey called "Life" . Well done!
Great talk. So many people out there with very similar stories. Screw what everyone tells you. You are greatness, it is inside each and everyone of us. Get off the path of living up to everyone else's standards. Have some compassion for yourself and know that a better today IS in your control!
This guys speach found a way through to me. "Tomorrow will be better, as long as it doesn't mess up your future" I always kill my pain by a messy night which blocks the struggle the next day but it messes up my future.
Coming from a traumatic childhood myself and I made my own life too and I love 💕 to hear of those who persevere and find the blessings in the lessons! And it teaches you a lot about life and it can either make you or break you. The choice is always in our hands even with the cards we’ve been dealt with!! What an amazing example to the world! Blessings to him!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💜😇😇

Its nice to see how people become stronger of things you go through and try not to see yourself as a victim. We all go through things, its good when you can share your story to help others. To all trauma victims your not alone. Keep going even when it gets tough!!!
Sometimes we need to tell our mind what we will do instead of listening to what our minds tells us to do. Thank you for that piece of knowledge and life lesson.
A great example of the power of positive thinking. The mind and our beliefs are powerful things. My students in juvenile hall are gonna love this dude.
No, you give your trauma purpose. Trauma does not happen for a reason but we have the power to utilize that trauma to push us towards our goals. A small but crucial difference. I could have been great if not better without my trauma but given that it has happened I choose to use it as a springboard rather than a weight.
Thank you for your TedTalk. I loved the part about saying you were a victim as opposed to saying you are a victim. You're completely right about how important that distinction is. As someone who helps DV victims and who was one herself, I'll always remember that difference.
Hey Lauren...that difference changes everything. We can't do anything about the past but what we tell ourselves about who we are NOW is empowering, so that distinction is critical. Continued resilience to you and thanks for not only your affirmations but your service to others!
A little late but amazing talk. I’ve always been a strong believer that “everything happens for a reason” but it is extremely tough to pull yourself out of a dark place and it is only up to you to do so

"when I open my eyes... the worst of life couldn't take out the best of me, cuz I'm still standing in front of you" I made some bad decisions a long time ago and will be paying for them - monetarily, physically, emotionally, etc - for a long time. When I was incarcerated I saw people at their worst and did everything I could to try to make them smile. I would sing to them, listen when they needed someone to just hear them, and offer whatever words of wisdom I could. This year I made the decision, after searching for a job for over 4 years and not being able to pass a background check, to make a change. I took a course to become a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate and am taking classes to become a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor. Hearing your story and seeing what you had to overcome tells me that I made the right choice in this career and will keep what you said in your talk with me to teach people that they can, and will, overcome. Thank you so much!

I don’t usually comment on social media but I want to acknowledge that I shared this video on my work fb with the following thoughts.... I like how Charles Hunt acknowledges the different aspects of ourselves we have from different developmental stages and traumas. For me, the word ‘victim’ never sat right with me. It can become an identity that we get stuck in, disempowers us. I like how Charles Hunt uses a past tense rather than a present tense and the significant difference that can have. I was a victim. It opens up so much possible for who we are now. All the healing as well as the potential selves we may become. I also liked his ending.... ‘thank you for giving my trauma a purpose’. The ultimate recovery, healing and empowerment, turn pain to a positive. Thank you Charles Hunt

This hit me in such a down time in my life , see I had just lost my dads, I read some of the other comments n I just gots say you are amazing and your life material so crushing yet you persevered and I can honestly say I know the addiction and poverty all to well throughout generations of my family and this plague of “bad luck” or what I call generational curse would tap into my life so badly that I would loose my 21 yr old brother to drug addiction when I was 18, dad to alcoholism and my husband to jail and not to mention all my own problems that were an Easter basket full of a variety of all those issues, but Praise God I , too persevered and became resilient . Thank you so much for sharing & speaking to so many you are a force and helped me so much!! Thank you

This really helped me man not to give up thank you
I’ve never heard of “healed people heal people” 😊 thanks for that friend. Much love to where ever my message finds you.
I’ve heard the phrase “hurt people, hurt people” many times, but never the corollary, “healed people, heal people”. That is very encouraging for me personally, thank you.
"The worst of life couldn't take out the best of me" - you are one amazing human being, Charles Hunt!
I'm humbled...thanks a bunch!!
@@charleshunt9961 "Life doesn't adhere to any delivery windows" - so true. I believe the dictionary has the wrong definition of resilience.. it talks about snapping back to where you were before. It seems that it takes you to new heights and doesn't take you back. I'm posting your talk wherever I can. thank you!
@@charleshunt9961 Much love to you, Sir.❤️
"Don't sacrifice your future for todays pain" - AMAZING perspective
"Sometimes we need to tell ourselves what to think when our mind starts telling us things that we don't need to hear: that you can and will overcome and succeed, and not just in spite of, but precisely because of. That with the proper perspective and a positive attitude, we have POWER."
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thx...glad you found a nugget or two!
I saw this right as he said it lol
“Life doesn’t adhere to any delivery windows, change comes when it comes.”

Hope all is well, 5 years later
Hello brothers and sisters. I would just like to recommend that everyone read the book ‘Raising Warriors: Preparing Your Children For a Godly Life’. Reading that book was the best desicion I ever made.
i just got diagnosed with ACEs recently and scored a 10, and because of my childhood I have depression, anxiety, and PTSD. This video reminds me during my saddest depressive episodes that i’m strong AF, i’ve accomplished a lot despite what i’ve experienced in life, and to keep going cause there’s so much more of life to see. thank you❤️❤️
I just discovered what ACE was yesterday and have a 10..
Godbless you. Never forget that it takes one second to inspire many people, and you have inspired me. Keep it up and don't give up
Agree - resilience is essential in life. it's not what happens to us, it's how we respond.
Thank you so much Mister for this video.
damn this vids in college assignments? I have to watch this vid for my class and I'm in grade 12.
"The worst of life couldn't take out the best of me."
True
ppl say not to compare traumas & all but i hear stuff like this; they’re right we don’t have to compare traumas, but we don’t have to determine ours be the worst of them all n just completely stop from growing. love resilience, love discussing it, love hearing examples of it. we’re stronger than we give ourselves credit for.
I'm in the depths of trauma, exhausted, completely broken. I listen to this talk and I open my eyes, feel purpose and hope in my heart. Thank You
Hey Anita...you're very welcome!
One of my favorite scriptures speaks to what you shared: "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,"
II Corinthians 4:17. T
Thanks for sharing this in real time and very tangible talk.
Hey Trev...You're very welcome! Hope you found it helpful and thanks for the affirmation!

Amazing. I'm still working through my trauma but I hope I reach a level of accepting and thriving.

I will spare you the details but then was when I met my friend...'Nothing."
I will spare the details, but after going to places like the Mission to get a couple of shirts, and pants, and food banks to try to get something more to eat, I adapted.
Who I have to thank for these things besides God, (who was always with me, and kept me going and focused the entire time), is "Nothing."
You see you can never understand what it's really like to be in pain that's almost unbearable, or not have anything to eat, or no heat in the winter, or sweating in the summer with no AC or fan, or even waiting in line for hours for a bag of food, you have no way to even cook, or store... unless you have been there.

Watched this in my cosmetology class today and I just want to say thank you. Definitely a MESSAGE.
Charles Hunt is brilliant 👏 eloquent 💥 and breaks down the fierce truth on change. Powerful words, sir!
Proud to call Charles my friend!
Thanks Bruh!
Charles Hunt I wish you could talk at my school. I teach kiddos who’ve been through so much trauma
I really felt it
This talk is soo underrated as a seventeen year old who has PTSD from having a psychopath father and being an asylum seeker the only thing that helped was resilience, My heart goes out to you!
Thank you very much for the encouragement, and thanks for watching! Continued strength and courage to you as you thrive not just in spite of, but because of!
Good for you!!
Well done Charles - you'r e offering hope and wisdom to many!
Connie Milligan that was certainly my hope; to give my trauma a purpose! Thx a bunch for watching and affirming.😊
AWESOME SPEACH!
4.44 min you got me. You make me know that life is a journey. I love the way you worded your speech and , YES, you are a survivor through and through!
Thank you very much! Very happy to hear that it resonated with you and I appreciate your encouragement! All the best to you.
Absolutely loved this!!!! From one person who has come through life's traumas and made it through with resilience... I have so much respect for you thank you for sharing your story 👏👏👏👏👏✨
Thank you Charles Hunt for sharing your pain. You are an amazing hero.
I'm humbled! Thanks a bunch for watching and the dope affirmations...all the best to you!
Wow! I'm humbled and greatly appreciate not just you watching and sharing but taking time to give such a thoughtful endorsement/review! Continued resilience to you and yours, many thanks.
This was absolutely phenomenal sir. You rose to the top and remembered how resilient you were despite how you grew up! Sent this video to my employees! Absolutely amazing! May you continue to inspire students and young professionals all over the world! "I was a victim, but REFUSED to own BEING A VICTIM" Powerful message!
I'm humbled Rakiya! Thanks a bunch for your affirmations and sharing. Continued resilience to you and your team. Don't hesitate to reach out if I may be of service.
@@charleshunt9961 thank you very much Mr. Hunt!
Thank you
