This was a really cool video I only started playing this on ps5 pro as it is an enhanced game. My lord it looks and runs even better than this. One if not the best looking souls born game I have played to date
One patch led to my game constantly crashing on PS5, the first 15 hours or so it ran without issues and with one patch it started crashing once an hour. Definitely wasn´t a hardware issue, I had no single problem on my old PS5. I am on the edge weither or not to give it a try on my PS5 Pro now.
I put nearly 400 hrs in and that was before all the new armors, weapons, special missions, special boss weapons abilities, now I just did another playthrough and got all of the new stuff...so now I have completed all 3 endings, all NPC questlines, and gotten all the new stuff, and platinum the game...and now I have well over 500 hrs in it...I absolutely love the game all the mods and choices they give you now is incredible... now I'm doing all the boss rush to get secret items...this is one of my favorite games...and I am souls vet have beaten every Soulsborne multiple times have like 2000 hrs in ER and still do a soulsathon every now and then...Lol and I put LOTF right up there with some of Froms games...I honestly never had any of the problems that others were having... I play on PS5
Also the armor sets in this game are fucking sick. You look like a badass in this game very early in the game, and will continue to acquire weapons and armor sets that are equally as cool, or even cooler.

I nearly have 1k hours in Elden Ring and looking to switch it up but was always hesitant to buy this game cause of all the skepticism surrounding it. Im playing this game on PC on my 75 inch 4k TV connected to my my 7900xt gpu and 7800x3d cpu. Everything on ultra fps at 110-144. Runs smooth without any hiccups. Idk if starting to play it now that the game has been fixed us what's making my experience so smooth! Enjoying the game to the max!

@prawnyb Hollow Knight and Blasphemous were my intro to Souls-likes. I used to exclusively play Metroidvania, but I broadened my gaming horizon, and I’m so glad I did! Hollow Knight is a phenomenal game! I love the art design and soundtrack.

The fact that each of the Vestiges(bonfires) are actually the remains of previous Lamp Bearers just like yourself is pretty interesting. When you go to teleport to different locations you can read a long paragraph about each Vestige/previous Lamp Bearer’s life and demise. I thought that was a nice layer of lore.
I completely forget to mention the 'seed system also' when you start seeing the little flowers, whole umbra world is totally awesome tbf, appreciate the comment 🙏
I agree completely. Some people don’t like the Umbral realm for one reason or another, but no one can deny how impressive the setting is👌🏻 The devs did an awesome job imo.

I think the majority of bosses are well designed; I reached level 479 doing mainly coop bosses. The exception being Elianne… which I think is a poorly designed boss, contrary to most opinions. I gave up playing the game at her on ng+6.
Got it during the Black Friday sale. There is a class with a mace. All games need more mace. Another perfect video. I’m one of the few that enjoyed the original Lords Fallen; it was my first ‘next gen’ (back in the Xbox One era anyway) souls likes, and I really got into it. 8 years later, here we are again.
Speaking my language brother! Lords of the Fallen was the most underrated game of the year for me. I did 2 playthroughs on PC and my final ending on PS5.
I'm playing it on Game Pass Ultimate (Series X) I've had frame rate issues too it wasn't a constant thing but the game would just get choppy or even static, all the cut scenes played normal the frame rate drop tended to happen during very fast motion and I don't know how much of the frame rate issue had to with connection lag.
The thing about Lost of the Fallen is that the devs put on a new patch near evey Thursday since launch. Some of them big revamp on gameplay, the main problem with the game was the it's on Unreal Engine 5 and current consoles can barely handle it. They had actually nerfed the graphics significantly since launch in order to get the game running well.
This was a great game only held back by the lack of enemy variety. Umbral world was basically 3 enemies and the reaper which will bully you until the halfway point.
The 2nd world mechanic is pretty cool, i know its a whole different game but i hope some people will give the soul reaver remastered a chance, the real world and spirit world was badass for that time and still is.
I got the platinum on the original Lords of the Fallen. That required completing the game with all three classes. Loved it. Preferred it over the Dark Souls games, for the art direction and feel. I'm not sure if I'm done with Souls Likes now though. Demon's Souls PS5 (The best one imo) was my last. The umbra puts me off tbh, although looking forward to the Soul Reaver remasters.This would need to be heavily discounted to give it a punt. Also no Kotaku discourse sting at the end!? ;)
I have this on PS5 and PC. Running a 3080 Ti, and it looks noticeably better on PC and runs great. I think Lords 2023 is criminally underrated and prefer it over Lies of P. It captures the level design vibe of OG Dark Souls better than any Soulslike not made by FromSoft. The way it handles ranged combat is superior to how Elden Ring does it, and the fashion is outstanding. The armor designs and tinct system are top shelf. Do not sleep on this game if you're a Souls fan.

I always thought this game was awesome. My only real criticism at launch besides performance was how enemy dense all the areas are. It’s like you never get a chance to just breath because you are constantly being bombarded by enemies nonstop. This has since been rectified and the game has become probably my favorite non-From souls like. I have not played Black Myth, or Lies of P.

@@CouchCoop128 I think the genre is far too over-saturated, just like the samurai, ninja, Japanese warrior action game genre or whatever u wanna call it. Every single week a new one is announced alongside a new souls-like. They all just blend together into mush for me, I care only about Ghost, Shadows and whatever From is cooking up because there’s far too many similar games to focus on anything other than the AAA heavy hitters.

I’ve completed all 3. LoP once, Wukong twice and LOTF I have lost count. LoTF is in my opinion the most fun out of them all thanks to the multiplayer options and ng+ modifiers.
it’s a damn good soulslike. It’s got rough edges; especially when you have to fight the same enemies too dang much, but it plays pretty good for what os essentially the dev’s first go at the genre. I’m looking forward to their next game.
The game is really good imo. I played on ps5 and it was overall a good experience. I never experienced any crashes. The game is beautiful. The music in the chapel is so good and just the music in general. The armor is sick. The game reminded me of Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver with the umbral stuff. I recently got a pretty good pc and have been thinking about getting it.
@CouchCoop128 I probably will end up getting it on Steam, though, because I don't do Gamepass. I've been loving my pc experience since buying it early in the year. I have been replaying lots of banger games on pc because I can't help myself. Every game i have played has been significantly better. Understandably so. I still love my Ps5, but I am starting to sway towards playing on pc in most cases.

What are your pc specs? I played this on my friend's old PC last year. Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1080 and it run around 60 FPS at 1080p medium so it doesn't require a monster PC. Especially after all the patches.
I’m a Souls fan and I had a hard time liking this game at first. Without even realizing it sometimes I was comparing EVERYTHING to the Souls formula. I took a short break from souls type games and came back to LoTF and now I think it’s a really ambitious and great game. The aesthetic look of the scenery and character design is so alluring and the bosses look amazing in my opinion. Sure the game is not perfect and has some annoying areas with many mobs, but it also has really great things about it. The lore is very interesting and a little more obvious which I like(although I don’t like that full lore is gated behind stat requirements but i don’t mind looking item lore up online). The boss fights in my opinion are challenging enough to enjoy but could be turned up on difficulty. I wish you weren’t given summons for boss fights so easily. There are some gimmick mechanics in game and boss fights that I think some people will either love or hate. Overall the game is deserving of more praise for what it does well, but I understand that some souls fans will have trouble overlooking some things that are different from what they are so used to. I was in the same mindset initially. I would say if you tried it and didn’t like it at first, don’t be opposed to giving it another chance. Just try not to expect it to be Souls and you’ll have a better time.

@@CouchCoop128 no idea if it's an exclusive though. Don't think so because it seems designed around the controller. It plays very different to Dark Souls though. It may not have aged great, but I loved how it felt meaty and heavy compared to DS1 back in 2014.
I am hoping the devs patch in a performance with fidelity visuals for the ps5 pro. I just finished it for the first time and really enjoyed it, I will for sure re play it.
Dude so I bought this game on sale for PS5 a few months ago and only played about 5 hours and just could not get into it but I really really really want to trust me. I just can’t & it sucks, just everything in it I can’t help but feel is just temu dark souls, hopefully this video will change my perspective because I truly want to give this game a real try
@@CouchCoop128 I remember I got to the second boss you showed with the blasphemous helmet and then I think I went back to the vestige right before that and saved and haven’t gotten back to it. Pieta was an insane boss though I was stuck on her for like an hour when I first played
Le Epic Pixies was an interesting choice. This game has always looked fuckin awesome to me, I always figured people were down on it mostly because of the franchise legacy, and the fact that it simply isn't a From Software game.
When you look at the scores, its the steam numbers that are the worst ! It wasn't optimised to good for mid models i think, so glad I got to it on the 5, its one of my favourite games i played this year! Surfer Rosa is also one of my fav albums, appreciate the comment, I cant believe Kim Deals 'Gigantic' wasn't a bigger hit!
Amazing game..finally getting the third ending, after putting it aside to play other games...But LOTF will always be special to me as it was actually the one that brought me back to souls games... There's only one ending that actually requires to do more extra things to achieve it and that's the one I'm working...The umbral ending.
@@CouchCoop128 Yes there's and it is the true ending.. Radiance is the easiest to achieve. Adyrs ending or infierno ending you need to do a couple of thing's.. Then the umbral implies doing more things. Also is a nice touch that depending on what you do, you'll be locked out of one or two ending's. Radiance is supposed to be good ending Adyrs or infierno ending is supposed to the bad one also you get a niece cut scene. Funny it is I consider the Adyrs or Infierno the good one and radiance the bad one. Umbral is the one that is the true ending Really like the video..Glad you like the game
I’m just waiting for The First Beserker: Khazan. I played the beta & beat it 8 times. I also used all three weapons to beat the beta. It’s too good! I couldn’t get into LOTF because the mechanics were terrible (in my opinion) & the gank factor was the worst I’ve experienced. I like souls games, but dude… lol. However, the aesthetic, the world design, the sound design, & the music were great!
@ Back in September. If you watched a live stream of the closed beta you would get a twitch drop with a link to a code. We, anyone playing it, were allowed to play the beginning. Three bosses in total. The demo was about three hours long. Mostly because the game can be a little difficult, but I like that; it’s sick af. The combat mechanics, the sound design, the artist style, the story, were all very good. I can’t wait till it fully releases! 😩😆
I loved Lords of the fallen. I just wished some of the areas were a little brighter the game was very dark and you could t tell how great the game looks
This game was soooo underrated, I uses to love this game, Finally after NG+6 I moved on, Lords of the fallen is Better than Steller Blade but not as good as Elden Ring or Lies of p but still a very solid game.
@CouchCoop128 I beat Stellar Blade and put it down, I believe there is a NG+ if am not mistaken, But Stellar Blade was boring to me, Even Steelrising is better than Stellar Blade in my opinion.
It's really cool but now after I don't know how many difficulty updates and buffs to bosses as a consecuence of critics saying bosses were too easy, now, on NG+ it's almost impossible to beat Tancred, I almost even gave up on him but I finally managed to defeat him with magic till then I had to face Judge Cleric and that's when I finally gave up on getting the second ending, specially cos she even had a second harder phase and then I still had to face the Light Reaper and a couple of other bosses so I just gave up. That's what happens when someone is perfectionist and keeps trying to make something good even better and better making it harder and harder to make it more challenging without realising they're just fking it up cos then people will quit. I didn't have time to spend hours and hours trying to beat a boss when I was already maxed out and grinding to become stronger was pointless as I'd already reached the hard caps of 75 and after hours trying to beat an end game boss then you still had to beat a few more, nah, sorry, hard pass, one complete playthrough enough for me, lucky they are that at least I tried and I stopped at Judge Cleric and no earlier.
I loved this game. Couldn´t finish it though becuause from on point onwards it kept crashing on my PS5. Was the only game doing this so it definitely wasn´t a hardware issue and it first occured after a certain patch. Didn´t get resolved for about two weeks and after several patches I stopped playing. Might start it again on my PS5 Pro but I am somehow afraid the same problem will occur again ^^
Sadly the devs released and ALPHA build of the game, I say this as they've released 40 patches, or more, adding gameplay features, content, and balancing the game to make it playable. While it maybe good now, devs/publishers should NEVER release games in such a bad state.

Good news, guys. It's been confirmed that Lords of the Fallen will be enhanced by PS5 Pro. I never played this game before because I'd heard about its technical problems, but I'm willing to check if the PS5 Pro fixed the game's performance.
The performance is absolutely fine now. I also held off on it because of performance but decided to try it a few weeks ago after all the patches and it runs beautifully now. Only one area in the game I noticed any FPS drops and I’m on ps5. I absolutely have fallen in love with the game and am so happy I have it a chance!!
Game still randomly deletes hours and hours of progress on PS5. Just had it happen to me today.. Lost 8 hours.. Hope everyone has a better experience than me
Idk why ppl praise lies of p so much, i enjoyed lords of the fallen alot more, it has been patched, while lies of p stayed the Same boring straight forward piece of crap, Just my Option
I have beaten Elden Ring twice and Dark Souls 3 once and I cant get past the 1st boss in Lords of the fallen. Ive even beaten the 1st lords of the fallen. The dodge on the characters isnt jiving with me.
My issue is stopping mid combat to swap from Arrows/Thrown Items to Spellcasting cause the combat doesn't stop if you're not fast enough in the time it takes the player to swap the character can take serious damage.
Everything in this game is spectacular. Like the amount of effort the developers put into fixing it is amazing. But I just cannot make myself do another playthrough of this almost perfect game. The enemy variety 😭 Why am I fighting the same 12 dudes over and over again for 30 hours!!! I cant force myself to do it again.

@@CouchCoop128 I've never heard of it? Like the enemy randomizer? When i started a playthough that seemed like an exciting ng+ run, but the final area of the game I was fighting enemies from the first area of the game lol. When you're fighting the same 10 dudes in every area the game is already basically a randomizer. Yeah 70 enemies? Its strange. Other than the enemies they introduce to you first as bosses, the boss variety was great though.
All Fromsoft games except Elden Ring are linear so why is this a bad thing? And Lords of the Fallen had some amazing mazes and shortcuts. I found the level design really well done.
Runs perfect on my PC @ 4K max settings, but then again, I am running it on a liquid cooled CPU/GPU -- Ryzen 9 5900X - RTX4090. Additionally with a bit of tweaking of Nvidia filters it looks even better than your PS5 footage. BTW... I like your music choice for the video. It just fits the footage.
Remnant 2 shares that same fate. Both of these games need to massively increase the health of bosses yell maybe even add new boss moves to make the fights much harder.
It’s a good game and an interesting mishmash of Souls, Sekiro, and Soul Reaver. It feels more Souls-lite than Souls-like in terms of difficulty but it’s still a lot of fun.
they improved performance on pc too with ps5 pro relese and fixed a lot things but i still think lies of p it's much better than lord of the fallen as a souls like
I liked this game initially, but by the end I got so sick of the umbral world mechanic. It felt too forced & gimmicky. When I tried a NG+ run, I just couldn't take it anymore. It was a decent idea, but its implementation is heavily flawed, imho.

Mostly good..but when I played it. There was somekind of issue with weapon speculation abilities..as in u had to do certain things access Said abilities. By the time I discovered this [ because there was ZERO clues] I was halfway through the game and some powers could no longer be unlocked. I deleted the game immediately..I was sooo mad
Played it qith a friend when it first came out. Hardly had any issues. We got back around to playing it again and my god does it lag twrrible now. Ita disappointing to say the least.
@CouchCoop128 ps5. I love the game and say some things taking about it's the best it's ever been and it gets so baggy it is almost unplayable. I hope it was connecting issues but we went from nioh with no probelms to lords of the fallen and now we do. Idk if it's because we have .ost the modifications on or not.
@CouchCoop128 i turned on performance mode and motion blur off etc. I was the main and summoned my friend today. It seems to mainly lag on the one being summoned. It's annoying enough but not enough to stop us from playing it.

I completed all the endings put close of 200 hours in the game, i really liked the game and man did the developers work hard and fast on patches.

If you play souls games for the boss fights, Lords will be disappointing. If you play for everything else, it's great.

I'm playing it on Game Pass Ultimate (Series X) I've had frame rate issues too it wasn't a constant thing but the game would just get choppy or even static, all the cut scenes played normal the frame rate drop tended to happen during very fast motion and I don't know how much of the frame rate issue had to with connection lag.

The thing about Lost of the Fallen is that the devs put on a new patch near evey Thursday since launch.
Some of them big revamp on gameplay, the main problem with the game was the it's on Unreal Engine 5 and current consoles can barely handle it.
They had actually nerfed the graphics significantly since launch in order to get the game running well.
This was a great game only held back by the lack of enemy variety. Umbral world was basically 3 enemies and the reaper which will bully you until the halfway point.
if u include reaper and red reaper, there are totally 7 type enemy in umbral world
The 2nd world mechanic is pretty cool, i know its a whole different game but i hope some people will give the soul reaver remastered a chance, the real world and spirit world was badass for that time and still is.

I got the platinum on the original Lords of the Fallen. That required completing the game with all three classes. Loved it. Preferred it over the Dark Souls games, for the art direction and feel. I'm not sure if I'm done with Souls Likes now though. Demon's Souls PS5 (The best one imo) was my last. The umbra puts me off tbh, although looking forward to the Soul Reaver remasters.This would need to be heavily discounted to give it a punt. Also no Kotaku discourse sting at the end!? ;)

I have this on PS5 and PC. Running a 3080 Ti, and it looks noticeably better on PC and runs great. I think Lords 2023 is criminally underrated and prefer it over Lies of P. It captures the level design vibe of OG Dark Souls better than any Soulslike not made by FromSoft. The way it handles ranged combat is superior to how Elden Ring does it, and the fashion is outstanding. The armor designs and tinct system are top shelf. Do not sleep on this game if you're a Souls fan.

Lords of the fallen is a good game just some performance issues but man I had a blast especially the first boss was a masterpiece intro
I always thought this game was awesome. My only real criticism at launch besides performance was how enemy dense all the areas are. It’s like you never get a chance to just breath because you are constantly being bombarded by enemies nonstop. This has since been rectified and the game has become probably my favorite non-From souls like. I have not played Black Myth, or Lies of P.

@@CouchCoop128 I think the genre is far too over-saturated, just like the samurai, ninja, Japanese warrior action game genre or whatever u wanna call it. Every single week a new one is announced alongside a new souls-like. They all just blend together into mush for me, I care only about Ghost, Shadows and whatever From is cooking up because there’s far too many similar games to focus on anything other than the AAA heavy hitters.

I’ve completed all 3. LoP once, Wukong twice and LOTF I have lost count. LoTF is in my opinion the most fun out of them all thanks to the multiplayer options and ng+ modifiers.

it’s a damn good soulslike. It’s got rough edges; especially when you have to fight the same enemies too dang much, but it plays pretty good for what os essentially the dev’s first go at the genre.

The game is really good imo. I played on ps5 and it was overall a good experience. I never experienced any crashes. The game is beautiful. The music in the chapel is so good and just the music in general. The armor is sick. The game reminded me of Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver with the umbral stuff. I recently got a pretty good pc and have been thinking about getting it.

@CouchCoop128 I probably will end up getting it on Steam, though, because I don't do Gamepass. I've been loving my pc experience since buying it early in the year. I have been replaying lots of banger games on pc because I can't help myself. Every game i have played has been significantly better. Understandably so. I still love my Ps5, but I am starting to sway towards playing on pc in most cases.

What are your pc specs? I played this on my friend's old PC last year. Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1080 and it run around 60 FPS at 1080p medium so it doesn't require a monster PC. Especially after all the patches.

They got more right than wrong. Plus tons of post updates. Loved the physicality, dark atmosphere, and sound. Hope 2 improves on bosses and cutscenes.

I’m a Souls fan and I had a hard time liking this game at first. Without even realizing it sometimes I was comparing EVERYTHING to the Souls formula. I took a short break from souls type games and came back to LoTF and now I think it’s a really ambitious and great game. The aesthetic look of the scenery and character design is so alluring and the bosses look amazing in my opinion. Sure the game is not perfect and has some annoying areas with many mobs, but it also has really great things about it. The lore is very interesting and a little more obvious which I like(although I don’t like that full lore is gated behind stat requirements but i don’t mind looking item lore up online). The boss fights in my opinion are challenging enough to enjoy but could be turned up on difficulty. I wish you weren’t given summons for boss fights so easily. There are some gimmick mechanics in game and boss fights that I think some people will either love or hate. Overall the game is deserving of more praise for what it does well, but I understand that some souls fans will have trouble overlooking some things that are different from what they are so used to. I was in the same mindset initially. I would say if you tried it and didn’t like it at first, don’t be opposed to giving it another chance. Just try not to expect it to be Souls and you’ll have a better time.

@@CouchCoop128 no idea if it's an exclusive though. Don't think so because it seems designed around the controller. It plays very different to Dark Souls though. It may not have aged great, but I loved how it felt meaty and heavy compared to DS1 back in 2014.
I am hoping the devs patch in a performance with fidelity visuals for the ps5 pro. I just finished it for the first time and really enjoyed it, I will for sure re play it.

Dude so I bought this game on sale for PS5 a few months ago and only played about 5 hours and just could not get into it but I really really really want to trust me. I just can’t & it sucks, just everything in it I can’t help but feel is just temu dark souls, hopefully this video will change my perspective because I truly want to give this game a real try

@@CouchCoop128 I remember I got to the second boss you showed with the blasphemous helmet and then I think I went back to the vestige right before that and saved and haven’t gotten back to it. Pieta was an insane boss though I was stuck on her for like an hour when I first played
Le Epic Pixies was an interesting choice.
This game has always looked fuckin awesome to me, I always figured people were down on it mostly because of the franchise legacy, and the fact that it simply isn't a From Software game.
When you look at the scores, its the steam numbers that are the worst ! It wasn't optimised to good for mid models i think, so glad I got to it on the 5, its one of my favourite games i played this year! Surfer Rosa is also one of my fav albums, appreciate the comment, I cant believe Kim Deals 'Gigantic' wasn't a bigger hit!

I can't play on quality mode, the low framerate gives me motion sickness, but the performance mode is fantastic now imo

Amazing game..finally getting the third ending, after putting it aside to play other games...But LOTF will always be special to me as it was actually the one that brought me back to souls games... There's only one ending that actually requires to do more extra things to achieve it and that's the one I'm working...The umbral ending.

@@CouchCoop128 Yes there's and it is the true ending.. Radiance is the easiest to achieve. Adyrs ending or infierno ending you need to do a couple of thing's.. Then the umbral implies doing more things.
Also is a nice touch that depending on what you do, you'll be locked out of one or two ending's.
Radiance is supposed to be good ending
Adyrs or infierno ending is supposed to the bad one also you get a niece cut scene.
Funny it is I consider the Adyrs or Infierno the good one and radiance the bad one.
Umbral is the one that is the true ending

I couldn’t get into LOTF because the mechanics were terrible (in my opinion) & the gank factor was the worst I’ve experienced. I like souls games, but dude… lol. However, the aesthetic, the world design, the sound design, & the music were great!

@ Back in September. If you watched a live stream of the closed beta you would get a twitch drop with a link to a code. We, anyone playing it, were allowed to play the beginning. Three bosses in total. The demo was about three hours long. Mostly because the game can be a little difficult, but I like that; it’s sick af. The combat mechanics, the sound design, the artist style, the story, were all very good. I can’t wait till it fully releases! 😩😆

This game was soooo underrated, I uses to love this game, Finally after NG+6 I moved on, Lords of the fallen is Better than Steller Blade but not as good as Elden Ring or Lies of p but still a very solid game.

@CouchCoop128 I beat Stellar Blade and put it down, I believe there is a NG+ if am not mistaken, But Stellar Blade was boring to me, Even Steelrising is better than Stellar Blade in my opinion.
It's really cool but now after I don't know how many difficulty updates and buffs to bosses as a consecuence of critics saying bosses were too easy, now, on NG+ it's almost impossible to beat Tancred, I almost even gave up on him but I finally managed to defeat him with magic till then I had to face Judge Cleric and that's when I finally gave up on getting the second ending, specially cos she even had a second harder phase and then I still had to face the Light Reaper and a couple of other bosses so I just gave up.
That's what happens when someone is perfectionist and keeps trying to make something good even better and better making it harder and harder to make it more challenging without realising they're just fking it up cos then people will quit.
I didn't have time to spend hours and hours trying to beat a boss when I was already maxed out and grinding to become stronger was pointless as I'd already reached the hard caps of 75 and after hours trying to beat an end game boss then you still had to beat a few more, nah, sorry, hard pass, one complete playthrough enough for me, lucky they are that at least I tried and I stopped at Judge Cleric and no earlier.
I loved this game. Couldn´t finish it though becuause from on point onwards it kept crashing on my PS5. Was the only game doing this so it definitely wasn´t a hardware issue and it first occured after a certain patch. Didn´t get resolved for about two weeks and after several patches I stopped playing. Might start it again on my PS5 Pro but I am somehow afraid the same problem will occur again ^^
Sadly the devs released and ALPHA build of the game, I say this as they've released 40 patches, or more, adding gameplay features, content, and balancing the game to make it playable.
While it maybe good now, devs/publishers should NEVER release games in such a bad state.

Good news, guys. It's been confirmed that Lords of the Fallen will be enhanced by PS5 Pro. I never played this game before because I'd heard about its technical problems, but I'm willing to check if the PS5 Pro fixed the game's performance.
The performance is absolutely fine now. I also held off on it because of performance but decided to try it a few weeks ago after all the patches and it runs beautifully now. Only one area in the game I noticed any FPS drops and I’m on ps5. I absolutely have fallen in love with the game and am so happy I have it a chance!!
It starts slow and definitely gives the DS ripoff vibe, but if you have the patience it soon hooks you in
Hope they make a better, improved sequel

I have beaten Elden Ring twice and Dark Souls 3 once and I cant get past the 1st boss in Lords of the fallen. Ive even beaten the 1st lords of the fallen. The dodge on the characters isnt jiving with me.

It’s beautiful and does many things well but I found the whole lamp/soul flay/umbral business to be fiddly and just too much to juggle.

My issue is stopping mid combat to swap from Arrows/Thrown Items to Spellcasting cause the combat doesn't stop if you're not fast enough in the time it takes the player to swap the character can take serious damage.
Everything in this game is spectacular. Like the amount of effort the developers put into fixing it is amazing. But I just cannot make myself do another playthrough of this almost perfect game. The enemy variety 😭 Why am I fighting the same 12 dudes over and over again for 30 hours!!! I cant force myself to do it again.

When i started a playthough that seemed like an exciting ng+ run, but the final area of the game I was fighting enemies from the first area of the game lol. When you're fighting the same 10 dudes in every area the game is already basically a randomizer. Yeah 70 enemies? Its strange. Other than the enemies they introduce to you first as bosses, the boss variety was great though.
Looking forward to see how it looks on the ps5 pro now that its been confirmed.

All Fromsoft games except Elden Ring are linear so why is this a bad thing? And Lords of the Fallen had some amazing mazes and shortcuts. I found the level design really well done.

Runs perfect on my PC @ 4K max settings, but then again, I am running it on a liquid cooled CPU/GPU -- Ryzen 9 5900X - RTX4090. Additionally with a bit of tweaking of Nvidia filters it looks even better than your PS5 footage.

Remnant 2 shares that same fate. Both of these games need to massively increase the health of bosses yell maybe even add new boss moves to make the fights much harder.
It’s a good game and an interesting mishmash of Souls, Sekiro, and Soul Reaver. It feels more Souls-lite than Souls-like in terms of difficulty but it’s still a lot of fun.

Yep! Soul Reaver had realm shifting, too. Like Lords, when you shifted realms it could alter the landscape and introduce new enemies

After 340 hours of play my game crashed. the game SAVE stopped working completely, the game is no longer playable. ( PS5 version )
they improved performance on pc too with ps5 pro relese and fixed a lot things but i still think lies of p it's much better than lord of the fallen as a souls like

I liked this game initially, but by the end I got so sick of the umbral world mechanic. It felt too forced & gimmicky.
When I tried a NG+ run, I just couldn't take it anymore. It was a decent idea, but its implementation is heavily flawed, imho.
Well guess i have to try it again, i bought it on launch and i was very disappointed overall.

Mostly good..but when I played it. There was somekind of issue with weapon speculation abilities..as in u had to do certain things access Said abilities. By the time I discovered this [ because there was ZERO clues] I was halfway through the game and some powers could no longer be unlocked. I deleted the game immediately..I was sooo mad

I hope it was connecting issues but we went from nioh with no probelms to lords of the fallen and now we do. Idk if it's because we have .ost the modifications on or not.

@CouchCoop128 i turned on performance mode and motion blur off etc. I was the main and summoned my friend today. It seems to mainly lag on the one being summoned. It's annoying enough but not enough to stop us from playing it.
The levelling up in this is a waste of time I’m level I think 140 and still die by bosses I don’t feel more powerful but my spells do
